Bai Lou, yawning, trotted after Lang Zhan, but the closer they got, the more confused he became. Why couldn’t he see any women? Since entering the tribe, aside from the beast-like cubs, everyone there had been male.

Lang Zhan’s home was in the center of the tribe, unlike the simple fences of the other homes they had passed. Here, a stone wall enclosed a courtyard. Without a gate, the entrance was blocked by a large wooden panel. Inside the courtyard were three stone houses, one large and two small.Full novel: The Kitten Was Coveted by a Wolf King — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Lang Zhan led Bai Lou straight to the large stone house in the center. The house had no door, not even a panel; it was empty, containing only a stone table and a few stone stools.

On either side were two rooms, separated by stone walls, with animal skin curtains hanging above the doors.

Lifting the animal skin curtain of the left room, a wave of heat hit them, and Bai Lou couldn’t help but hold his breath.

Lang Zhan placed Lang Tu he was carrying on his shoulder, and the wolf cub obediently stretched out its paws and hugged his neck.

He went inside and skillfully removed the wooden plank blocking the window. Moonlight streamed in, finally allowing Bai Lou to see clearly inside.

The room was about twenty square meters, sparsely furnished, except for a huge stone bed that took up nearly three-fifths of the space.

Two stacks of animal hides were piled beside the stone bed. Lang Zhan casually took one and spread it in the center of the bed. The hide was large, covering most of the bed, and its spots and patterns resembled those of some kind of leopard.

Lang Zhan bent down, picked up the white cat at his feet, and tossed it onto the bed, instructing, “You’ll stay here for now. Don’t touch anything. Cook for me and Tu for the next few days.”

“Meow~” Okay.

Bai Lou obediently replied, inwardly thinking, “There’s nothing here to touch. Do you think I’d use the hide to sharpen my claws?”

Watching Lang Zhan leave the room with Lang Tu, Bai Lou instantly collapsed onto the animal hide blanket. The day had been far too terrifying and Bai Lou felt utterly exhausted, both physically and mentally.

It had finally managed to cultivate to human form and found a desolate wilderness to undergo its tribulation of lightning. However, halfway through the tribulation, two people charged at it, one after the other.

The person in front was probably being chased and, for reasons unknown, had rushed into its tribulation. Bai Lou was terrified and tried to run, but the person relentlessly pursued it, and it couldn’t get far even while enduring the lightning.

Bai Lou suspected that the person was either trying to divert attention or intended to die together with it.

In any case, the battle between the two resulted in the innocent Bai Lou being caught in the crossfire. In the end, they both perished, while Bai Lou was inexplicably knocked unconscious by a flying rock. When it awoke, it found itself in a different world.

With a deep sigh, Bai Lou decided to stop thinking about it. It was pointless, and it was simply too tired.

In its drowsy state, an electronic voice seemed to echo in its mind: “The Multiverse Mall space has successfully restarted, returning to initial settings. Please choose whether to enter the space now?”

The cat, who had been sleeping soundly on its back, instantly woke up, rolled over, and cautiously surveyed its surroundings.

Finding no other living beings in the room, it shook its head. Was it still half asleep?

“Please choose whether to enter the space now?” the electronic voice repeated, startling Bai Lou.

What the hell is this?!

The voice seemed to be coming from its mind. Bai Lou hesitated for a moment, then let out a soft “meow.”

“Who are you? Where are you?”

The electronic voice replied, “I am the intelligent customer service assistant of the Multiverse Mall space. The previous host died, and the space unexpectedly bound itself to a new host. I will provide a beginner’s guide to the new host.”

“The host does not need to speak, simply think of me to communicate. I suggest the host enter the mall space immediately. I will then introduce the space’s usage rules to the host.”
