“Please…am sorry….have mercy….l….l…just..w..anted..to help her, please!” She begged.

“Hasn’t she suffered enough? You already killed her parents when she was just a baby Alphab!”

A cold cruel smile crept a cross Alphab’s face, as he tightened his fangs , cutting off Maria’s pleas as he ripped off her throat with his fangs.

His mouth dripped with Maria’s blood , staining his black cloth.

Gasps filled the air as Maria’s lifeless body crumpled down on the flour, a twist of satisfaction and disappointment filled Alphab as he swiped off Maria’s’s blood off his mouth.

Storming with much anxiety into his chambers, as the weight of his actions weighted heavily in him, but the more he gave it a thought, the more he yearns for blood.

” You child of a b*tch!” He hissed.

“Am gonna skin you alive once l catch you!!”

He paced around the room with a lot of anticipation, his footsteps echoing through the silence, as he imagined how he would be with out the curse.

He yelled out loud , smashing things in his chamber again and again.

As the slanting rays of the setting sun gave a warm orange tinge to the sky, a blazing it with the fire of the setting sun.

Alphab had already gathered his whole clan lead by Mathew in search for Eva and the unborn child.

“Dead or alive , you must bring her to me…” He said.

He become more feral, predatory , far more savage and beast-like than before.

Growling and hissing, as he curled his lips back baring fangs out.

It showed how aggression he was at that moment.

Immediately they left , scarterring in different directions yet having one similar aim.

Some treked to the city, others in the nearby forest as they searched in and out of every place.

Meanwhile Eva , following the direction written in the paper, she treked for days her empty stomach growling, it was days and she hasn’t tested anything not even water.

She was already tired that her shoulders dropped and her feets were wounded during the long run from Alphab’s mansion.

After a long journey, she sighted a deserted lake , and besides it was a well structured building with a barbed wire fence.

She took a deep breath of relieve. You are reading on g.com, the official source.

“Finally…” She rubbed her hand over her belly.

“We’ll be safe now.”

A jovialous smile emerged from her face as she gained some hope.

She drew nearer to the house, her heart couldn’t express her joy as she swang open the gate.

Looking at the marverlous houses, a gasped come out of her mouth.

” At last, l have a place to call home.”

Pulling her self inside , she searched for the keys as directed to her in the paper, stretching her hands on top of the door , she felt the presence of a metallic object, which turned to be the door keys.

She inserted the key, and it opened.

But then, her smile faded away, thoughts began to puzzle her with worries about the masked man, and how he looks like.

Atleast one thing she was so sure about, she was inlove …….

Just as she layed her head on a couch, a sound of a moving car come from out.

Her eyes widen with fear as she thought that Alpha had found her again.

But as she peeped through the window , her gaze fell on Kevins rather the masked man.

Treking through the door with merry as he had discovered that Eva carried his child, he ran and lifted Eva like ababy in his arms.

She was perplexed on what was going on.

She sighed and whispered

“what’s going on!.”

With no hesitation, Kevins felt giddy as his heart raced so fast, with Eva in his arms, his lips slowly reached Eva’s , breathing heavily as their lips pressed together.

As they tasted their shared breath, freely the thud of the combined heartbeat, they fumbled to take off one another’s clothes.

Though Eva was tired and weak , she couldn’t control her emotions just like Kevins, they gasped out loud.

Moments after their romantic bond, Kevins lofted up his ahead and glared at Eva’s innocent face, tired body and injured feets,

He decided to make a meal for her, her favourite, chicken stew.

“Wake..wake..” he said.

Kevins smile and joy couldn’t fade , but his conscious wouldn’t let him keep the death of Melia a secret from Eva.

” Eva!, l..l have some bad news about Maria”

Eva’s heart raced as she listened to Kevins deliver the devastating news.

Maria, who become her closest friend and confidante, was killed by Alphab.

She couldn’t believe it.

The news of Maria’s death hit Eva like a tone of bricks.

She felt a deep sense of grief and guilt wash over her.

‘If only l had never escaped from the mansion, Maria might still be alive!’ She thought again and again.

As Kevins spoke, Eva’s mind drifted to the night she fled.

But there was no time for regrets.

Kevins informed Eva of Alphab’s order for his men to scatter around kila city in search of her.

They were forbidden from returning unless they brought Eva back to them.

With Kevins by her side, she was confident of her safety of hiding from Alphab and his men until she could find a way to start a new life away from the darkness that had consumed her.

But one thing she never thought of, and had never thought of knowing what and who was behind the mask!

Well that’s for another day…..

As she hid in a most deserted place in kila, Eva couldn’t shake the feeling of unease that clung to her like a shadow.

She knew that Alphab’s men were out there, lurking in the shadows, waiting for the chance to capture her and take her back to him.

The damp night air burned in Eva’s lungs, a stark contrast to the adrenaline-fueled cold that had kept her moving for the past hour.

Branches whipped at her face, and her legs felt like lead, yet she didn’t slow down—she couldn’t.

Behind them, the faint, rhythmic sound of pursuit continued to echo through the dense forest, a relentless reminder that they were being hunted
