He was being a total rascal!

Huai Yin scrunched up her nose, her eyes rimmed in red as she glared resentfully at Xu Shiyan, who blocked her path like a brick wall.

Big jerk, she cursed him silently in her heart.Full novel: The Little Beauty Was Forced to Bind to the Villainess System — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The girl’s feelings were far too transparent—her almond eyes were wide and round, her expression so pitiful and aggrieved with her lips pouted outward like a little duck.

Even when angry, she was remarkably well-behaved. Xu Shiyan felt a wave of dryness in his throat, his Adam’s apple rolling heavily. The more she looked like this, the more he longed to tease her, wanting nothing more than to push her until she cried.

Xu Shiyan could easily picture it in his mind: the small girl clutching his shoulders with trembling hands, her lovely face drenched in tears, her lower lip bitten raw and swollen. Exhausted and weak, she wouldn’t even be able to speak, capable only of letting out quiet, intermittent sobs.

Just like a helpless kitten.

At the thought, a thrilling shiver ran through Xu Shiyan’s shoulders, his body heating up involuntarily. The arm wrapped around her slender waist gradually tightened. He was enduring an agonizing wave of restraint, the veins along his neck standing out in stark relief.

Lowering his head, he leaned over Huai Yin’s chest like a stray hound, taking deep sniffs against her. The tip of his nose nearly grazed her soft, delicate skin. How could she smell so sweet? Driven nearly mad by desire, Xu Shiyan desperately wanted to bury his face against her, extending his tongue to lick and taste every inch.

Huai Yin was frightened out of her wits. This was at school! Even if classes were currently in session, anyone could walk by at any given second.

A young master born into prominent wealth naturally cared nothing for such things—if anyone dared look, he could instantly silence them with a word.

But Huai Yin was different. She was thin-skinned. Doing something like this in a public setting was deeply embarrassing; she wished she could dig a hole and crawl into it.

Huai Yin extended her hands to push Xu Shiyan’s head away. With great effort, she managed to create a tiny distance, only for him to press right back in, his neck acting as if it were fitted with a spring.

That desperate, ravenous look resembled a stray dog that had been starved for days. Huai Yin genuinely felt as if she were about to be devoured alive.

There was no point in expecting Xu Shiyan to have any sense of modesty or shame. Weren’t stray dogs always like this? Once they were in heat, they would mate right out on the street.

Blushing to the roots of her hair in sheer shame, Huai Yin was truly on the verge of tears. “L-Let go of me.”

Her soft, delicate voice sounded almost intoxicating, sending Xu Shiyan’s excitement skyrocketing. His scorching breath fluttered over Huai Yin’s chest, leaving her exposed skin feeling almost scalded. She shrank back to get away, but Xu Shiyan pinned her directly against the wall.

With her back pressed against the icy surface and the tall youth towering in front of her like an inescapable cage, Huai Yin was completely stripped of any chance of escape.

“Why keep running? What’s wrong with letting your hubby kiss you a little?” Xu Shiyan raised his head, flashing her a wicked, crooked smile, the raw desire in his eyes unhidden and blaring.

“You’re not my hubby!” Huai Yin protested in shame and indignation. They weren’t even married yet!

Though her words were a clear denial, Xu Shiyan caught a faint edge of playful flirting within them.

The word “hubby” fell upon his ears like sweet, golden honey. Xu Shiyan felt his chest fill to the brim, a surge of overwhelming happiness practically spilling over.

Even his bones felt blissfully weak.

“Call me that again,” Xu Shiyan coaxed her in a soft, low murmur, his broad hand gently stroking her waist up and down.

Huai Yin opened her eyes wide in utter disbelief. She hadn’t called him hubby at all! Was there something wrong with Xu Shiyan’s ears?

“Be good, I want to hear it,” Xu Shiyan leaned in even closer, his tone laced with desperate eagerness. “Hurry up.”

“Call me hubby and I’ll let you go to class.”

Xu Shiyan bent down, his handsome face filled with utter infatuation and earnest pleading.

The young master was accustomed to having his way; if she didn’t indulge him, Xu Shiyan would undoubtedly stall her here for the entire day. Once class ended and the other students returned, it would be even harder to explain herself. She really had no choice. Huai Yin let out a silent sigh in her heart.

Sniffling softly, the small girl mumbled in a muffled voice, “Hubby.”

That should do it, right?

Xu Shiyan’s breath hitched, turning ragged and rapid. His Adam’s apple bobbed violently a few times, his gaze fixing on Huai Yin as though he intended to swallow her whole.

Huai Yin gave Xu Shiyan’s shoulder a push, but he didn’t budge an inch. Lowering his eyes, Xu Shiyan stared at her without blinking.

He didn’t say a word, simply watching her in silence—as if inspecting his prize.

Huai Yin felt Xu Shiyan’s weight pressing over her once more. He was truly heavy; his rigid bones pressed hard against her arms, bringing a sharp pain that brought tears to her eyes.

What happened to letting her go? Realization dawned on Huai Yin—Xu Shiyan had lied to her.

“Kiss me,” Xu Shiyan demanded, his eyes dark and unreadable. His voice was raspy and stripped of his previous coaxing tone, replaced by an uncompromising, authoritative command.

Unable to make sense of the sudden change, Huai Yin shrank back in fear of his imposing presence.

“Y-Didn’t you say it was a choice between the two?” Huai Yin whispered softly.

Going back on his word—what a foul dog.

Xu Shiyan let out a quiet chuckle. “Does my fiancée not know?” He paused, dragging out his words with deliberate intent. “A man’s words can never be trusted.”

Huai Yin was left utterly speechless.

She had been tricked! Raising her fist, Huai Yin swung it directly at Xu Shiyan’s shoulder.

His muscles were rock-hard like a solid boulder; Xu Shiyan didn’t feel a fraction of pain, whereas Huai Yin’s hand turned instantly red from the impact.

It hurt so much!

Huai Yin scrunched up her lovely brows. No matter how she looked at it, it was all Xu Shiyan’s fault—he was such an insufferable jerk!

“Does it hurt, my fiancée?” Xu Shiyan lifted Huai Yin’s hand to examine it closely. The joints of her fingers were flushed red, looking so pitiful that he brought them to his mouth to gently blow cool air onto them.

Her hand was so tiny, as if it could snap with a single bend. Her punch felt like nothing more than a gentle scratch, yet she actually tried to hit him.

His silly little fiancée, completely overestimating herself.

“How could you hit your hubby? Do you realize what you did wrong?” Xu Shiyan feigned anger to tease the girl.

Evidently, that small punch had flipped a strange switch within Xu Shiyan—as if being struck by her had brought him immense gratification.

He began relentlessly whispering sweet, outrageous nonsense right into Huai Yin’s ear.

“Hubby is your world, hubby is your everything.”

“If you didn’t have your hubby, wouldn’t you become a little widow? Who else would protect you then?”

“Poor little widow, surrounded by a pack of ravenous wolves eyeing you. Even if your hubby turned into a ghost, he’d stay right by your side to protect you. Don’t be scared, don’t be scared.”

Huai Yin’s face turned bright red, completely unable to listen to any more of it. She lifted her hands to cover her ears, but Xu Shiyan grabbed her wrists, preventing her from blocking him out.

“Does it still hurt? Let hubby kiss it better.” Xu Shiyan pressed his lips against her fingers with extreme care.

“I-It doesn’t hurt! Stop talking and let go of me!” Huai Yin could barely form a coherent sentence. Seeing her flustered state, the amusement deep in Xu Shiyan’s eyes intensified.

So cute, blushing like this from just a bit of teasing.

Xu Shiyan had zero intention of letting Huai Yin go back to class. His pitiful, aggrieved fiancée had a light flush dusting her fair skin, her eyes glistening and wet—a fiancée this beautiful belonged only to him. No one else was permitted to even think about her.

He wanted to hide Huai Yin away. She wouldn’t be allowed to go anywhere, forced to stay strictly by his side.

Yet his fiancée wasn’t cooperating—unwilling to call him hubby, unwilling to kiss him, thinking only of escaping his side.

The more Xu Shiyan thought about it, the gloomier he became. Why? Was being with him not good enough? Didn’t she love him?

Could Huai Yin have fallen for someone else? Was he going to be abandoned by his fiancée?

No, absolutely not. Xu Shiyan would never allow such a thing to happen. Huai Yin was his.

Lowering his brow ridge, the youth took on a menacing look, his icy gaze carrying a trace of raw ruthlessness.

“Kiss me,” Xu Shiyan demanded, vengefully nipping at her finger. He threatened, “You hurt me when you hit me just now. You must give me a kiss, or I won’t let you leave.”

Complete nonsense!

Huai Yin glared at him angrily. Where on earth did Xu Shiyan look like he was hurt? The person in agonizing pain was her! Before she could even settle the score with him, how did Xu Shiyan have the nerve to turn the tables on her?

“You really don’t want to kiss me?” Xu Shiyan narrowed his eyes, running his tongue over her finger—behaving like a large predator savoring its prey before a meal.

His tongue was agile and firm, greedily sucking on her finger, creating a distinct, wet sound that echoed in Huai Yin’s ears.

“Kiss me, quickly,” Xu Shiyan deliberately acted spoiled toward her, standing in stark contrast to his usual overbearing demeanor, looking almost strangely captivating.

“My shoulder is still hurting. My fiancée, you need to comfort me properly.”

No matter how slow Huai Yin was, she knew full well that Xu Shiyan was making up wild lies. He was pushing his luck, constantly probing her limits step by step.

Calling him hubby wasn’t enough—now he wanted her to take the initiative to kiss him!

Xu Shiyan couldn’t wait any longer, almost pressing his mouth right against Huai Yin’s face. They were so close that their breaths intertwined, and Xu Shiyan could see the girl’s dark eyelashes trembling softly.

Was she looking forward to it just as much as he was?

“My fiancée, if you stall any longer, class is going to end,” Xu Shiyan thoughtfully reminded her. “I don’t mind kissing you in front of everyone, though.”

Huai Yin bit her lip, caught in deep hesitation.

“So, have you made up your mind?”

“I’m saying this upfront—only one kiss!” Huai Yin said with utmost seriousness.

Xu Shiyan froze for a second. He hadn’t expected Huai Yin to actually agree; he had originally planned to steal a kiss from her, trying to figure out how to compensate her afterward so his fiancée wouldn’t stay mad at him.

Huai Yin’s words left him feeling dizzy and lightheaded, as if he were dreaming. Xu Shiyan swallowed hard. “Mm. Just one is fine.”

A person shouldn’t be too greedy, Xu Shiyan reminded himself inwardly.

Throwing caution to the wind, Huai Yin stood on tiptoe, slowly moving closer to Xu Shiyan. His gaze was locked onto her so intensely that it made Huai Yin feel thoroughly uncomfortable.

Who kisses with their eyes wide open?

“Close your eyes! Don’t look!”

Xu Shiyan looked disappointed. “Really? But I want to watch you.”

“Then no kiss!” Huai Yin finally regained the upper hand.

“Alright, alright!” Terrified that Huai Yin might back out, Xu Shiyan hastily shut his eyes.

Staring at his ridiculously handsome face, Huai Yin repeatedly convinced herself: It’s just a quick brush against the corner of his mouth. It should be fine, right?

Xu Shiyan’s heart hammered wildly against his ribs, the few seconds of waiting feeling as long as centuries.

Why hasn’t she kissed me yet? Xu Shiyan thought anxiously. Just as he was about to open his eyes, Huai Yin’s soft, moist lips brushed against the corner of his mouth.

It was light as a butterfly’s wing, yet it sent ripples coursing through his entire body. Xu Shiyan felt as though he had forgotten how to breathe.

A faint blush gradually crept over Xu Shiyan’s ears. Opening his eyes, he looked at his equally blushing fiancée. Xu Shiyan gently touched the corner of his mouth, lost in thought.

“Huai Yin, do you know?” Xu Shiyan spoke in a tone laced with undeniable joy. “That was my first kiss.”
