"Right away!" Zheng Changan dashed off like a gust of wind.
"Logically speaking, Comrade Lu's surname shouldn't have any duplicates in the Seventh Regiment, right?"
Song Ning confirmed again.
Lu Changqing was stunned for a moment, then shook his head and said, "No, there's no one with the same name as me in the entire 13th Army."
"That's for the best!"
Song Ning smiled and took the scissors Zheng Changan handed over, deftly beginning to cut the gauze on Lu Changqing's leg.
Chen Yuting didn't react at first, but seeing Song Ning quickly remove the splint from Lu Changqing's leg...
She surprisingly reached out to stop Song Ning, asking:
"What, what are you doing?!"
Song Ning looked up and smiled at her, pushing her hand away. "Military Doctor Chen, you haven't seen your family member's wound yet, have you?"
As she spoke, Song Ning uncovered the gauze covering the wound, revealing it.
The wound was long and, at first glance, somewhat shocking. However, it was well-approximated, the stitches were even, and there was only a small amount of blood seepage on the gauze. It was clear at a glance that the wound had been treated very well, with no abnormal redness, swelling, or inflammation!
Chen Yuting thought Song Ning was just trying to prove her medical skills, and pointed at the wound, shouting:
"What's the use of stitching the wound well..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Song Ning's scissors lightly flicked, cutting the stitches on the wound...
"Ah—don't—" Chen Yuting screamed.
Song Ning ignored her, gripped the thread, and gently pulled...
The neatly sutured wound immediately... burst open!
Yes, the entire... burst open!
"You're crazy—you're crazy—you actually, you actually removed the stitches?! You self-righteous barefoot doctors! You're just messing around! I'm going to report you! I'll make sure you die a horrible death!" Chen Yuting shrieked.
Song Ning sneered, "So many people can be witnesses! You've been constantly questioning my medical skills! You've seen the wound, and you want me to apologize... Impossible! But—"
Song Ning leaned towards Chen Yuting, her tone considerate, "But I can give you an opportunity to re-treat it yourself!"
Lu Changqing's face was now deathly pale, and he was covered in a cold sweat!
He watched as blood began to seep from the wound on his leg again...
He hadn't expected Song Ning to be so bold!
She cut and removed stitches as soon as they disagreed—
Although the wound wouldn't bleed as heavily as yesterday, it had only been sutured for less than twenty-four hours, and now that it was cut open, it would have to be re-stitched!
He would have to go through the pain all over again!
"Company Commander Lu, my apologies! Your family member said I didn't clean your wound properly. I trust she can clean it well for you this time!"
Song Ning gave Lu Changqing a brilliant smile, then dropped her scissors and turned to leave.
Director Sun, who had rushed over after receiving the news, entered the room just then.
Song Ning said to him, "My apologies, Director Sun! The military doctor inside said I'm not presentable, I'm self-righteous, my medical skills are poor, and she even said I should die a horrible death! I'm requesting to temporarily suspend my work with the medical team to avoid affecting other comrades!"
"This, this is..."
Before Director Sun could react, Zheng Changan, who was behind him, immediately added:
"Director Sun! I'm also just an intern doctor, and I'm very afraid of patients' family members questioning me and causing a bad influence! I also request to temporarily suspend my work, just like Little Doctor Song."
Song Ning looked back at Zheng Changan. Zheng Changan winked at her, his expression clearly saying, "I support you."
Just as the two were about to leave, Doctor Zhou, who had been in the same group as them, also spoke up:
"Director Sun, um... I'm also a barefoot doctor. Since this comrade doesn't trust us, I'll excuse myself for now!"
After Doctor Zhou spoke, the other doctors in the room also expressed their opinions, none of them wanting to continue working!
This was supposed to be volunteer disaster relief. Everyone had come with passionate hearts to support the disaster area, and they hadn't slept properly for a day and a night! Suddenly, a woman appeared and caused a scene for no reason, and then insulted everyone. No one felt good about it now!
Director Sun was dumbfounded!
This, this is everyone quitting... Who will look after the patients!
The medical resources were already weak, and hundreds of masses who had just been transferred were waiting.
Which blind military doctor was causing trouble at this critical juncture!
Director Sun glanced inside, then turned and shouted behind him, "Zhao Yingzhang! Zhao Yingzhang, hurry up! Something big has happened!"
Zhao Yingzhang had been busy transferring the masses all day. As soon as he arrived at Gaoping, someone informed him that there was a dispute among some military personnel here.
He immediately turned and rushed over, not even having had a sip of water.
"Zhao Yingzhang! Your military doctor colleague looks down on our medical team. What will happen to so many patients now? And the masses from Yanjiao Village who were just transferred are waiting for medical treatment!"
Director Sun couldn't do anything about the female military doctor, so he could only grab Zhao Yingzhang!
He needed him to solve this problem.
Zhao Yingzhang also got a headache upon hearing this. The disaster relief work was already exhausting, so why were people causing trouble!
He strode into the room and saw Chen Yuting crying as she looked at Lu Changqing's injured leg!
"Yuting? It's you! How did you get here? Weren't you supposed to be in Xiaoshi Village?" Zhao Yingzhang asked with a frown.
Chen Yuting hesitated to speak, only wiping her tears and remaining silent. Nurse Zhang beside her quickly explained:
"Zhao Yingzhang, Yuting heard that Company Commander Lu was injured, so she came specially."
"Company Commander Lu?" Zhao Yingzhang was stunned. "What does Company Commander Lu's injury have to do with you..."
"Oh my! Zhao Yingzhang, you don't know yet! Yuting and Company Commander Lu are dating!" Nurse Zhang said quickly.
"Nurse Zhang—" Lu Changqing tried to stop her from the side.
"Zhao Yingzhang!"
Chen Yuting stood up at this moment and said, "I asked for leave from our captain before I came! He said that after I arrived, I should assist your work here."
Zhao Yingzhang, however, looked at Lu Changqing with a serious expression: "Company Commander Lu, I remember you..."
"Zhao Yingzhang!"
Chen Yuting quickly interrupted him, "Now that the stitches on Changqing's wound have been removed, the priority is to treat him first!"
Chen Yuting changed the subject twice. Zhao Yingzhang gazed at Lu Changqing and fell silent.
Lu Changqing had no choice but to speak, "Zhao Yingzhang! No, we're not dating yet! Don't misunderstand Yuting! I'll explain to you later!"
"Brother Changqing! You..."
"Yuting, this is not good for your reputation!"
