At this critical moment, Gu Yan called out, “Qu Xiao.”

Qu Xiao’s finger, which had been poised to pull the trigger, suddenly relaxed. He threw the gun to Yu Yang.

Fine beads of cold sweat had already formed on Qu Bai’s forehead. If he hadn’t been leaning against the table for support, he might have collapsed to the ground.Full novel: The Little Fairy is Too Flirtatious, Lord Qu Can’t Resist — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Both Old Master Qu and Qu Mou glanced at Gu Yan. Even Qu Bai, when he regained his composure, also looked at Gu Yan.

It seemed she was Qu Xiao’s Achilles’ heel.

Old Master Qu also stood up. “Enough, let’s eat first.”

Qu Xiao gave him a cold look. “You can eat by yourselves. I’m taking my second uncle back to live with me.”

If it weren’t for wanting to pick someone up, he wouldn’t have set foot in the Qu Family home today.

Old Master Qu suddenly laughed and walked up to Qu Feng.

Qu Feng visibly trembled with fear when he saw him.

“Xiao Xiao, he is my son first, and your second uncle second. How can you take my son away without my consent? It doesn’t make sense emotionally or logically.”

Looking at Old Master Qu’s reluctant expression, Qu Xiao couldn’t be bothered to argue with him. He asked directly, “Just say it. What exactly did you call me here for today?”

Old Master Qu smiled. “As expected of someone from the Qu Family—you’re clever. I won’t beat around the bush either. I want you to transfer 45% of The Qu Corporation’s shares to Xiao Bai’s name and let him join The Qu Corporation as vice president.”

Qu Xiao let out a cold laugh. “You’re quite the schemer.”

Old Master Qu looked at him and smiled. “Xiao Xiao, you’re a good kid. You haven’t forgotten how well your second uncle treated you when you were young, have you?”

Qu Xiao narrowed his eyes and said coldly, “Thirty percent. He can have the vice president position. If you don’t agree, try and see if your people can stop me.”

Old Master Qu and Qu Mou exchanged glances. After some thought, they finally nodded. “Fine, thirty percent. I want you to make the call to transfer it now.”

Qu Xiao took out his phone and made the call right in front of him.

Hearing that the matter was settled, Old Master Qu’s face broke into a smile. He patted Qu Feng’s shoulder. “Xiao Feng, Xiao Xiao will take you to stay with him for a few days. I’ll come pick you up later.”

Qu Feng, as if frightened, immediately hid behind Yu Yang, his entire body trembling uncontrollably.

Qu Xiao had no desire to stay any longer. He took Gu Yan’s hand, called Liang Yueran, and had Yu Yang support the disoriented Qu Feng as they left this place he detested.

Watching their retreating figures, Qu Mou frowned. He walked up to Old Master Qu. “Dad, are you really letting him take him away? What if he remembers everything by then…”

Old Master Qu sneered. “What’s there to fear? Didn’t you feed him all those drugs back then? His mind is already ruined. Besides, what’s wrong with a father wanting to see his son and bringing him back for a visit?”

Qu Mou suddenly understood. He smiled at Old Master Qu. “As expected of you, Dad. You think much further ahead than we do.”

Old Master Qu smiled and sat back down. “I’ve eaten more salt than he’s eaten rice. What does he have to compete with me?”

Hearing this, the others’ expressions immediately relaxed.

Old Master Qu looked at Qu Bai with a serious expression. “Xiao Bai, Grandpa has paved the way for you. How you walk it is up to you.”

Qu Bai nodded. “Grandfather, don’t worry. I definitely won’t let you down.”

He would prove that he was no worse than Qu Xiao.

Old Master Qu immediately beamed with joy. “Alright, hurry up and eat before the dishes get cold.”

Everyone began eating as if the earlier commotion had been nothing but a farce.

Meanwhile, Qu Xiao brought them back to Rose Garden. However, Qu Feng became increasingly restless and agitated upon arriving at the unfamiliar place.

Qu Xiao instructed Yu Yang to call a few people to take him for a bath, trim his hair and beard, and provide him with unworn clothes to change into.

Liang Yueran sat on the sofa, not daring to say a word. Those familiar with Qu Xiao knew he was very angry at the moment.

Gu Yan went into the kitchen and poured two cups of hot milk, handing one to Liang Yueran.

Although Liang Yueran didn’t like her, she still politely said, “Thank you.”

Holding the other cup of hot milk, Gu Yan walked toward Qu Xiao, who stood with his back to her in front of the floor-to-ceiling window.

Hearing the movement behind him, Qu Xiao didn’t turn around.

Gu Yan called out softly, “Uncle Qu, have a cup of hot milk first.”

Just as Liang Yueran was about to say that her cousin didn’t like drinking milk, she saw Qu Xiao accept the milk.

She suddenly realized one thing: if Gu Yan gave it to him, he might even drink poison without hesitation, let alone milk.

Qu Xiao took a few sips of the milk but didn’t finish it, simply holding the cup.

He had never liked drinking milk, not since he was a child.

Gu Yan took the cup from his hand and finished the remaining milk he had drunk.

Qu Xiao frowned slightly. “I drank from that.”

Gu Yan licked the milk off her lips and chuckled. “We’ve already kissed, and we’ve gotten to know each other on a much deeper level. What’s wrong with sharing some milk?”

Qu Xiao was momentarily speechless, at a loss for words.

Liang Yueran simply averted her gaze, unable to watch any longer.

Gu Yan pulled him to sit on the sofa and began massaging his temples.

Qu Xiao closed his eyes, seemingly enjoying it.

Her technique was gentle and skilled, as if she had learned it before.

In her past life, he had frequently forced Gu Yan to massage his temples for him.

Just then, Gu Yan’s phone on the coffee table rang. The caller ID showed “Yao Yao.”

Liang Yueran sneered coldly. “Your backstabbing best friend is calling you.”

Gu Yan frowned. “Answer it for me.”

Somewhat impatiently, Liang Yueran answered the phone and put it on speaker.

Qin Yao’s worried voice immediately came through. “Xiao Yan, where are you? Why did you block Xu Tao? He’s been looking everywhere for you and almost cried from anxiety. Where are you now? We’ll come find you.”

Gu Yan nearly laughed out loud. She was still the same, feeding her these sweet lies.

Leaning forward slightly, Gu Yan said with a smile, “Qin Yao, you only called me after you had a good roll in the sheets with him, didn’t you?”

The person on the other end was clearly stunned, as if completely unprepared for her to say such a thing.

Even Qu Xiao opened his eyes and looked at Gu Yan’s jawline, unable to figure her out.

Liang Yueran stared at Gu Yan in utter bewilderment. Had she suddenly grown a brain?

After a long pause, Qin Yao replied in a hurt tone, “Xiao Yan, you must have misunderstood something. Xu Tao is your boyfriend—how could I ever try to steal him from you?”

Gu Yan said straightforwardly, “Don’t even try to fight me for it. I’ll just give this piece of trash to you. I hope you two dogs get sick soon.”
