My father promised the brutal Lycan King my twin sister’s hand in marriage as a deal to save the lives of our people. Unfortunately, she ran away and I was forced to take her place and marry him instead.
Cullen Valtheris needs a womb for his people. He is not interested in marriage, having a woman or fathering a child. He only needs an heir to fulfill his duties as King.
But if there is one thing he and his Luna have in common; it’s the fact that they both share the same cold, pure and unadulterated loathing for each other despite being bonded.
Cullen thinks he can break her and make her submit but he’s yet to realize that the twin he married is the one who will never bow down to him; not even if she’s at death’s door.

"That annoying, stupid jerk!" Aria screamed, "How dare he call it quits?"
Adria was lying down on her bed flipping through the pages of a book when the door to her bedroom sprung open causing her to almost jump out of her skin.
She looked at the direction of the opened door and she saw her twin sister Aria, puffing out smoke from her mouth through a lit up cigarette.
Adria coughed as she tried her best to wave off the excessive smoke that had covered the air like a thick blanket.
Aria looked upset. Adria could tell that her sister was in a black mood because she only smokes when she’s angry, worried or upset about something.
"What happened again, Aria? Why do you want to kill me with so much smoke?" She asked as she stared solemnly at her twin.
Aria rarely gets upset so whatever’s bothering her has to be huge to put her in a foul mood like this.
She stood up from her bed, hands clutching onto her gown tightly and walked up to her sister who was rummaging through her clothes.
"Xavier found his fated mate and is getting married soon so we cannot be fuck buddies anymore." Aria replied conversationally as though it didn’t bother her at all but Adria knew better.
She knew how much Xavier meant to her sister and how this news has torn deep into her skin.
She should feel sorry for her but she knows her twin. Xavier leaving her is only an avenue for fucking other men that catches her fancy.
"You had it coming a long time ago, Aria. This is what happens when you don’t want to get committed. I honestly wish that I could feel sorry for you but we both know that you don’t need it."
Aria is built differently. She doesn’t let anyone in but she knew better to sleep around with different men without commitment so what did she expect? Sometimes she even wonders if indeed they are sisters.
"You don’t have to feel sorry for me because I know that you have never cared about my choices nor have you supported me in anything."
"You always strive to be the perfect daughter of the pack that no one will ever recognize and nothing else seems to bother you." Aria accused with a click of her tongue.
Adria didn’t want her sister’s words to get to her but she couldn’t help but admit that her sister was actually right.
Growing up, she has always been in her shadow and considered the spare child should in case anything happens to Aria.
The only time she’s ever chosen for anything is if Aria can’t do it or forfeits. Although it hurts sometimes, Aria has never treated her differently so she tries not to let it bother her.
After all, being second best doesn’t change the fact that they were still twins and sisters.
"Say whatever you want about me but I do not want to be dragged into your mess, Aria. You made your bed so you should lie on it." Adria spoke softly as she returned to take her position back on the bed.
"Of course you don’t. I expected you to say that anyway." Aria snapped.
Adria raised her chin up to her twin defiantly. "Do you know how many times Xavier has tried to grab me because he thinks that I’m you?"
"I was almost raped on countless occasions by that perverted bastard you sleep with so it’s only fitting that you’ve stopped seeing him so that he won’t have any reason to mistake us for one another."
"It’s always like that with all the men you sleep with. They could’ve at least taken the decency to know more about the woman they claim to be in a relationship with but they don’t even bother. I wonder what you see in them anyway." Adria scolded her harshly.
"Last time it was Adrian, then it was Jared and now Xavier. Maybe this will be a good lesson for you."
"Now that they’re all gone, you can actually settle down and think about your life purpose or settle down and accept a marriage proposal."
"I heard that father has been searching for an eligible suitor for your hand in marriage." Adria said but Aria made puking noises to show her disgust.
"My life is going pretty well and I don’t want to ruin it by getting involved with an arrogant man that I do not know all in the name of an arranged marriage." Aria retorted.
"I am not like you that read and dream about fantasies, Adria." She continued. "I am not a lover girl that believes in knights and shining armors. That’s your thing, not mine."
"Besides, I know that Xavier wasn’t my mate but we had a good thing going on with Adria. Something that you will never understand because you’re mother Theresa after all and I’m Aria, the no good daughter of Alpha Cullman that everyone wants to get rid off."
Adria felt really bad for her sister. She knew that she was hurt but she rarely opens up about her feelings so she cannot help her.
Aria opened her closet and threw some clothes on the bed and that is what got Adria’s attention again. What is her sister up to this time around?
"And where are you going this time around? It’s already late?" She inquired but her sister paid no attention to her outbursts of unending questions. It’s like she didn’t even care.
"So now you want to get involved and dragged into my mess?" She asked mockingly. "I’m going to Strawberry Island." the name rolled out of her tongue while Adria stared at her in disbelief.
"You’re going to the non-changeling world? Again?" She asked with worry etched on her face. The non-changeling world was used to describe the world of humans.
It was considered dangerous for their kind and they were forbidden to set foot there with good reasons too. If caught, the consequences would be dire.
"They have the best drinks and I want to get wasted and probably find myself a hot guy to fuck." Aria drawled with raised eyebrows.
"If father finds out about this then he will be upset. He will lash at us. We will get punished and confined to our rooms forever."
"We? Who’s we?" Aria asked with a scoff. "It’s a solo trip dear sister. I’m going alone. I’ll do a quick run and come back later. Father doesn’t have to know anything."
"But—"
"But nothing, Adria. Sometimes you just have to live a little." Aria interrupted, "Now leave me alone and don’t even try to stop me either." She picked up her clothes and exited her bedroom to change.
Adria, scared that her sister might do something stupid and wind up into trouble, decided to go out with her because she knows that troubles follow Aria everywhere.
If she wasn’t looking for trouble, then trouble was looking for her. They work hand in hand just like the law of karma.
*.*.*
Adria walked into the club with her sister as her eyes scanned the entire crowded and noisy premise.
Why would anyone want to visit a place as disgusting as this? Her wolf, Nyx is restless. She wants to go home.
She isn’t supposed to be here in the first place but she can’t help it. The only reason she came here was because she wanted her sister Aria to go back home with her and since the latter was being stubborn about it, her only resort was babysitting her for the night.
She knows that if her father finds out that she’s out here in the human world without any form of protection, there’s no telling what he might do to them.
To him, she’s supposed to be the levelheaded and responsible one. She’s supposed to be looking out for Aria. She was the youngest alright but she acts like the eldest when it comes down to matters like these.
Aria is always fond of breaking the rules. She was the wild, carefree and irresponsible one and sometimes it baffled her that they were twins.
They were both as different as night and day. Two polar opposites. The Luna twins as most changelings normally call them.
"Aria, let’s go home please. This place is not safe." she pleaded to her sister who didn’t look interested at what she just said.
"I didn’t force you to come with me. You took it upon yourself to be my babysitter for tonight so deal with it." Aria snapped at her twin.
"I feel like I’m being watched from different angles and I don’t like it." Adria complained as she looked around the room to see different pairs of lustful eyes staring and ogling at her.
You don’t get to see two beautiful women in the club everyday.
"It’s called eye-fucking. They think you’re hot so get used to it if you want to survive this night with me."
"But Aria—" she trailed off but her twin interrupted her with a glass of drink.
"Here, drink this and wait for me. I’ll be right back." Aria handed her a glass of vodka before she stormed off and Adria drowned the entire content in one gulp.
Adria waited patiently for Aria as she felt herself getting tipsy by the minute. Her sister hasn’t returned and she was getting more restless by each passing minute.
What if something had happened to her? What if she got into trouble and needs her help?
This and many more thoughts ran helplessly through her mind so she took it upon herself to search for her and boy will she get an earful when she sees her.
She is about to go through the back exit when she felt her wolf getting restless and alert all of a sudden. This is definitely new.
She has never felt this way before. That scent! It is too powerful but yet again it is too enthralling that it made her stomach flip.
What could smell so divine to the point of triggering her wolf? She felt a sudden ache between her legs that spasmed throughout her lower abdomen as she decided to trace where it was coming.
Her search brought her to the entrance of the VIP section. She turned around and her brown Hazelnut eyes came in contact with the deepest pair of blue eyes that she has even seen. She felt like she could get lost in them.
She stood for a while to admire and worship this tall, built up figure with broad shoulders seated across from where she stood.
Even in his seated position, he was huge in a way that terrified and excited her. He was easily the most strongly built man she had ever laid eyes on.
She noticed the slightly faded scar on his face, the etched frown that was deeply drawn in a way that told her that this man might be dangerous.
She has never seen him before but then again, she has only seen a handful of men all her life if she was being honest.
Wait, but Aria. Where could she have gone?" Adria turned and bolted away, knowing that she needed to find her sister and fast.
