Miss Marcy dragged Pink all the way down the corridor, through the courtyard, and didn't stop until they reached the heavy wrought-iron school gates. Letting go of the magical girl's collar, the teacher slumped against the wall and let out a massive, exhausted sigh.

The moment she was released, Pink immediately crossed her arms and threw a massive tantrum. "What do you think you are doing?!" she screamed, stamping her foot. "I was right on the verge of confessing my undying love for Alice again!! And I was also about to tell her that Tony is being a total ditz!"

Miss Marcy blinked, her jaw dropping as she stared at the pink-haired menace. "Wh... what?!" She rubbed her temples, looking at the girl with profound concern. "Listen, Tony... I think your brain is actually starting to become entirely pink, too."

The rigid tension in Pink's shoulders suddenly dropped as Tony managed to forcefully pull himself back to the surface. He let out a long, ragged breath of pure relief. "You... have absolutely no idea," he groaned, his voice cracking slightly. "Pink has suddenly just started to actually take over our body for a bit... Thank you so much for the save, teach."

Before he could enjoy the reprieve, Pink aggressively wrestled her way back to the front. "Seriously?!" she snapped, her eyes narrowing at Miss Marcy. "You two working together behind my back is incredibly annoying!"

Instead of getting upset, Miss Marcy simply smiled, a warm and gently teasing look in her eye. "My, my, Miss Pink. You really are just completely lovely when you're angry, aren't you?"

A bright crimson blush instantly erupted across Pink’s cheeks. She quickly averted her gaze, tucking her arms tight against her chest as she tried to huff out her embarrassment. "Flattery will... get you absolutely nowhere with me!" She turned her entire upper body away from the teacher, letting out a sharp, dramatic pout.

Miss Marcy chuckled softly at the display. "Oh, don't be like that! Besides, I actually think pink is a really wonderful shade for you. It's not harsh like white or aggressive like red—it's something sweet and light that just desperately wants to get noticed."

Pink looked back at Marcy, her face burning an even deeper shade of bright red. "I... I..."

Before she could form a coherent sentence, Miss Marcy stepped forward and wrapped her into a warm, comforting hug. "Well, I'll tell you what—I noticed you. You both saved me from my own worst instincts the other day, didn't you?"

Pink looked away, pouting hard as she tried to ignore the affection, though she didn't pull out of the hug. "I... I only did it because you looked completely and utterly hopeless..."

Miss Marcy gently patted the girl's bright pink hair. "Either way, thank you. You're a very special girl. And... boy?"

The praise seemed to satisfy Pink's chaotic ego. She let out a long sigh, her expression turning into a mix of frustration and fiercely defensive passion. "Look, teach... I—no, we—just wanted to be with Alice! It is his entire lifelong dream, and he's just abandoning it right now because he's trying to respect her like a 'gentleman'! I won't stand for it!" she shrieked loudly, her voice echoing off the concrete walls. "No more spending our time completely alone just to read manga by ourselves right outside the kendo club building!"

Down in the depths of their shared consciousness, Tony was now far too mortified and afraid to even attempt taking control back. Sensing his utter defeat, Pink's lips curled into a wicked, triumphant smirk. "Tony!~" she cooed out loud, completely mocking him. "Did I happen to hit a sensitive little nerve?! Hehehe!"

However... they were not as alone as they thought.

Unbeknownst to them, the rest of the magical girls had stealthily followed them right to the school gate. They had heard absolutely everything. Well... mostly they had just heard Pink loudly giving her unhinged, dramatic speech to the teacher.

The stoic samurai girl blinked, her usually unreadable face cracking into an expression of pure, stunned realization. "Wait..." she murmured, her voice carrying clearly through the courtyard. "Is Pink... actually that boy named Tony? The one who always sits right by my kendo club and reads manga??"

She blinked again, a sudden flush of embarrassment hitting her as she realized what she had just blurted out out loud. "Ah... I see. I have made a grave miscalculation... and have accidentally revealed my own civilian identity..."

Alice’s head snapped toward the stoic samurai girl, her eyes widening to the size of saucers. "Wait... I know you! You're... Suki?!"

Suki’s face turned incredibly red. She immediately snapped her head away, staring intensely at the ground to hide her burning cheeks. "You... you weren't supposed to say my actual name out loud..."

Alice just stood there, her mouth hanging completely open as her brain tried to process the sheer volume of identity reveals happening within a thirty-second window. The rest of the squad went completely quiet, the heavy silence hanging thick over the gate.

Except, of course, for Maniac girl. The chaotic girl immediately leaned down right next to Alice's ear, a wicked, knowing grin plastered across her face. "Hey... you got yourself a real gentleman there... just saying."

The comment hit Alice like a semi-truck, causing her to instantly turn a violent shade of scarlet from her neck up to her ears.

And then, right on cue, to make an already catastrophic situation infinitely worse...

Tony’s mother casually walked right through the shattered school gate. She entirely ignored the fact that half of the building looked like an alien warzone, stepping over a pile of rubble with a bright, cheerful smile. "Tony! Oh? You're in your other form today?" She lifted a neatly wrapped bento box in the air. "Well, either way, I brought you your lunch, sweetie!"

The color completely drained from Pink’s face. Because she was sharing a body with Tony, she could feel the absolute tidal wave of pure, unadulterated horror, panic, and existential dread crashing through his soul at that exact second.

"Oh... man..." Pink muttered, her voice dropping into a hollow whisper.

Tony’s mother stopped in her tracks, her eyes instantly locking onto the huddle of teenagers. Her sharp gaze scanned the group, taking in the way they were all standing together, the violent blush consuming Alice’s face, and the fact that Alice kept nervously darting her eyes between Pink and the lunchbox with a look of agonizing embarrassment.

To a mother, that specific look meant only one thing. Tony’s mom did the math. And unfortunately for Tony... she was incredibly good with numbers.

A massive, proud grin spread across her face. "Tony!!" she cheered loudly. "You finally managed to get some actual friends?!"

Tony’s consciousness took such a massive psychological critical hit that Pink's body literally fell to its knees on the pavement in pure shock.

His mother didn't stop there. She playfully winked at her defeated child. "And they're all girls?!"

Maniac girl looked between the trembling, kneeled Tony, his incredibly proud mother, and their completely panicked teacher. A slow, mischievous grin spread across her face. "Wait... Tony? As in the Tony? The incredibly lonely guy at school that everyone purposefully gives extra space to because they think he's actively choosing to be a lone wolf?"

Tony managed to lift a single, violently shaking hand into the air, trying to squeak out a defense through Pink's vocal cords. "I... am Toni... with an 'I'..."

Nobody bought it. Not a single person.

Pink, looking down at his pathetic attempt to wiggle out of the situation, felt a sudden surge of vindictive amusement. Seeing him get that desperate was just too much. "Uh-uh, no you don't!" Pink shouted out loud, completely overriding him. "I am absolutely not letting you lie to them!"

Even though it was an utterly terrible lie, both of their personalities subconsciously thought it had been a pretty good attempt.

But Pink was done protecting his pride. With a malicious, triumphant smirk, she intentionally severed the magical connection. Her bright pink outfit vanished into thin air, the magical energy dissolving instantly and forcing a sudden de-transformation.

The spell shattered.

Pink ribbons dissolved into glittering light.

In their place stood the real Tony.

No disguise.

No magic.

No excuses.

Just an awkward teenage boy staring up at five magical girls, his teacher, and his mother.

...

Tony briefly considered faking his own death.
