When the others entered the cabin, the man was barely alive, collapsed in the corner with not a single part of him moving except his mouth.
"Y-You monster... ahhh... monster... she’s killing me... help... help me..."
"What happened? Uncle Sean, are you alright?!"
The villagers hurried toward the man sprawled near the doorway. His eyes were hollow, stripped of all hope, staring blankly at something ahead of him without responding to anyone.
Then, when they followed his line of sight, several people gasped sharply.
"T-This..."
"God have mercy on us... what is happening here?"
Camila Hall suppressed the fear, nausea, and disgust clawing up her throat as she stared numbly at the little girl’s body illuminated by the flickering candlelight... then at the man Vivienne had thrown to the ground.
Finally, her gaze lifted toward the tall figure of the young woman standing amidst all the chaos and horror.
But on the other side, Vivienne Blackwood could hear nothing.
She could see nothing around her anymore.
Nothing except the stone platform... and the body lying atop it.
Vivienne remembered.
She remembered that freezing place.
That stone slab she had once been chained to for so long—so unbearably long that she no longer remembered how many years had passed there.
She remembered her wrists being cut open.
Remembered the blade piercing her heart again and again while blood poured endlessly from her body... yet she never died.
She remembered the horrifying sensation of her soul separating from her flesh, of flesh tearing away from bone.
She remembered.
And remembered.
And remembered...
Until the corners of her eyes slowly reddened.
Vivienne stood there silently, staring down at the man still cursing from the floor despite every one of his limbs having been broken.
Trash like him was not even worthy of her gaze.
Coldly, she looked away and began walking toward the platform with slow, unsteady steps.
She was suppressing her breathing.
Suppressing her weakness.
Suppressing the violent urge to destroy everything around her.
It took every ounce of restraint she possessed to hold back the murderous aura and bloodlust boiling inside her.
At that moment, she wanted nothing more than to kill that man and let his blood spill across the same stone where the little girl’s blood had flowed.
But the final shred of reason inside her stopped her.
Only then did she move toward the child.
The livestream had completely exploded into chaos.
[What the hell did I just see?! Am I dreaming?! No—this is a nightmare... there’s... a child there...]
[So much blood! Somebody call the police! Oh my God, this is murder!]
[What is this?! Dear God, have mercy...]
[Vivienne is killing someone! Vivienne is actually killing someone!]
[Shut up, idiot! That monster deserves to die! Look carefully at the platform—a little girl is lying there! Does your conscience not hurt defending a criminal?!]
[Damn... Vivienne’s movements were terrifyingly precise. Is she some kind of secret soldier or something? How does she fight like that?!]
[I watched everything from Vivienne’s camera... I’m speechless. I genuinely don’t know what to say.]
[Vivienne is amazing, but what the hell is going on here? Was that man performing some kind of ritual or spirit summoning?]
[Dear God... please protect that little girl.]
[I hope she survives too...]
Half the viewers regained their senses and immediately flooded the chat with curses toward the man while desperately praying for the child’s survival.
Others believed there was no possibility she could still be alive after losing that much blood.
Some questioned why anyone would do something so horrifying to a little girl.
But nearly everyone agreed on one thing.
The police had to be called immediately, and the man deserved the harshest punishment possible.
Inside the small cabin, once everyone finally understood the situation, shock spread through the room.
Some of the younger villagers burst into tears.
Others cursed the man viciously.
Two of them even stormed toward him and began kicking him repeatedly in a fit of rage.
Ignoring the screams and sobs around her, Vivienne stepped onto the platform.
Silently, she stared at the little girl’s cold body while blood continued pouring heavily from the wound.
There was a massive gash in the child’s abdomen.
Yet with her unusually sharp eyesight, Vivienne noticed something.
The girl was still breathing.
At last, the mask of cold indifference on Vivienne Blackwood’s angelic face cracked apart.
She was still alive.
Vivienne suddenly dropped to her knees before the platform and pressed trembling fingers against the girl’s neck, checking for a pulse.
And there it was.
Still beating.
"She’s still breathing... she’s alive..."
Vivienne’s voice was weak and soft, yet somehow it echoed clearly through the darkness of the night.
"Oh my God... she really is..." Camila Hall was trembling violently from fear and panic, but she still hurriedly grabbed her phone and called one of her contacts. "Wait—I’ll get a helicopter. We’ll send her to the hospital immediately!"
The crowd slowly gathered around Vivienne and the child.
Some people wanted to get the little girl moved, but they were scared they might make her injuries worse. In the end, they could do nothing but wait helplessly for the ambulance to come.
It is of no use
Vivienne could feel the child’s soul slipping; she is nearly dead.
The huge bearded man whose limbs Vivienne had broken jerked.
"N-no... what are you doing?! Don’t touch her! Leave my daughter’s body alone! Don’t touch her!".
The man crawled on the floor slowly while muttering weird words under his breath. Then he began to speak louder and louder until all the people understood it.
Leave her... I will bring my daughter back to life! Don’t touch my daughter’s body! I am so close... yes yes, I will succeed! My daughter will come back, and I will start living happily once again with my wife and child like before!.
The girl’s father went on saying while laughing.
The madman really was trying a resurrection of some sort after all.
The room went quiet as he noticed the man’s eyes filled with crazed obsession and insanity.
Madness.
Pure madness.
Then suddenly, Oscar Jones—who had been standing silently at the side the entire time—stepped forward.
A deafening sound exploded through the cabin.
The fully grown man’s body flew through the air before slamming violently into the wooden wall and collapsing motionless onto the floor.
Everyone stared at Oscar’s cold, handsome face in stunned silence.
