<The king?>

<I wouldn’t dare to think so…more like malevolent with a capital M!>

A sharp laugh filled the air as Eldest Prince Trevor keeled over, his hand clutching his stomach as he fell into a boisterous laughter, watching as the face of his brother quickly turned sour as he watched him mock him.

“Forgive me, brother….but this…?”

The Eldest princess could barely withhold her amusement as she turned to her elder brother and asked in a soft whisper.

“Why did you rescind the rewards?”

“Yes!

You’re making us all look bad.”

The queen added, her voice filled with caution and the King almost sighed as he heard all these, feeling like this third son of the Count only ever came after him each day.

The other time was his concubine which he didn’t really want to think of and now this?

What next?

Would he make up another scandal about the royal family?

<He hoped not but—speak of the devil.>

[New Gossip Discovered.]

<Oh, a new one?

Tell me.>

[Crown Prince Lysander has been drugged by ?????

And he’s about to be taken advantage of by a group of five men.]

<Huh?

Lysander has been drugged by five men who want to take advantage of him?

How did that even happen?>

[He followed a trail from the pet store and got trapped, his five guards are dead and they plan on doing it in a sort of coliseum for all to see.]

<Wait a minute, this ?????.

Don’t tell me it involves the Blackwater gang?>

[?????— Blackwater gang, precisely.]

<Ha!

Who knew?!>

<I was the one in such a situation back then in my previous life with no aid coming for me, I had fought tooth and nail just to escape intact and after that day, my entire life changed and it changed for the worse.>

<Let him rot there for all I care, after all these people did to me in my past life, death would be too lenient for them.

Let them all suffer first.>

<And I hope this one is just one out many for him.

>

King Aurelia felt immense shock at the sound of that as his fingers tightened around the armrest until the polished wood groaned softly beneath his grip.

Once could be a coincidence but twice was unfortunate.

But every single thing this boy had unknowingly exposed so far had proven true.

He no longer knew whether he feared the boy, or whatever unseen force whispered those absurd thoughts into his head.

And so many others did too as everyone stared at Cassian with stunned expressions and silence.

But someone in particular felt sweat beading up all over his entire body as he heard all that and he fought with himself whether to stay and brave it or just run now so he could be able to escape quickly before everything got out of hand for him.

Well, this someone wasn’t the only one in such a situation.

The count was also sweating bullocks, hoping for the ground to open up and swallow him whole as he watched the face of the king go from shocked to wrathful.

He could see his entire life flashing clearly in front of his eyes as he saw the King’s hands ball into hard fists as he fixed an oblivious Cassian with a complex look no one could understand.

[Prince Cassian has been transported to Barrow Coliseum.]

<Huh?

That place?>

<Same place as his previous life.>

He wouldn’t worry, he would just go back home and drink some poison free hot chocolate and eat his lunch then he would chill throughout the whole day.

Reminds him,

<Why were they all so quiet again today?>

<Did something happen to their mouths?>

<All their reports were found out to have been forged and replaced?>

<Could be possible….>

The king turned to his ministers silently as they quickly began to go over their reports as they compared it to the others and began to ask questions but it wasn’t forged at all.

Was this boy wrong for once?

Maybe the crown prince wasn’t in danger…

The king let out a small breath of relief as he finally relaxed into his throne and began to turn to his eunuch to stop the court session for today and extend that of the next day when his brother stopped him.

“I would advise against doing that, brother.

It’s your son’s life on the line here and a false information that was followed to the end is better than that which wasn’t followed and brings regret after the decisions have been made.”

His eldest sister nodded with a complicated look on her face as she looked up at her brother from her throne, a pedestal below his.

“Whatebto agree with him but what he says might be right.

Perhaps, the boy talking about the forgery might have just been a joke he made to himself.”

The king felt the light that had begun to fill his eyes slowly dim as he considered the words of his siblings and finally came to a decision that making sure his son was okay was better than pushing away something as big as this only to regret it later.

He turned to his head eunuch and gave a nod and the male instantly scurried away.

Cassian watched everything happen as his mind ran wild with a lot of different thoughts and that was exactly when he decided that he had wasted enough time and that it was time to air out his grievances.

He slowly stepped forward, his lips twitching as he fought back the mischievous smile that was trying to pull up on his lips.

“Your Majesties, His Royal Highness, Her Royal Highness.”

He greeted as he stepped forward and they all turned to him, the king raising an eyebrow as he wondered why he felt like that title the boy was calling him was indirectly mocking him.

“Third son of Count Valmont.

Please..”

The king nodded for him to continue and he had to bite his inner lips to be able to stifle his laughter because this king just didn’t know what would hit him in the next few minutes.

Eyes widened as gasps of shock rang around the entire place, even the four individuals seated on the thrones above them were stunned as Cassian instantly dropped to his knees.

“My king.

I was sent some rewards yesterday for the great deal of help that I had rendered to the crown prince during the capturing of the traffickers and helping those poor souls who were stolen from their homes….” He stopped as he pushed his arms out to the side as if to make emphasis.

The king felt a budding headache beginning at the back of his head as he listened to all of this and it didn’t seem like the boy was stopping any time soon.

The king closed his eyes and for the first time in so many years of ruling the kingdom….

He really wanted to adjourn court and pretend this day had never happened.

“…sent by the king through the crown prince who personally came to bestow them on me.

But before that could happen, the crown prince quickly disappeared!”

<Honestly…>

<If you’re going to reward someone, at least make sure the reward reaches them.>

<What kind of customer service is this?>

<Or was he supposed to imagine his reward into existence?>

His right hand shot up and eyes followed the movements as if everyone could paint the picture of exactly what had happened just with these few explanations.

<What rewards?

The crown prince came to bestow gifts to me?

More like the gifts never got to my front door.>

“Are you indirectly blaming me or the crown prince?

Cassian Valmont?”

The Count trembled at the change he could see in the voice of the king and quickly fell to his knees to plead for mercy but Cassian wasn’t done at all.

“How would I dare to do that?!

I only thought that maybe it had been stolen in secret by some rag and wanted to bring it to your attention.”

Anyone who hadn’t heard his entire monologue about his hatred for all of them might actually be led to believe this acting of his.

But Cassian didn’t even care, all he cared about was making sure that if they were going to start using him as shield to investigate things they shouldn’t, then he had to collect payment from them.

“Is he accusing someone of intercepting royal rewards?”

“That is treason…”

“Who would dare?”

“Your actions against a commoner yesterday were far too improper and you almost killed this same commoner.”

“But the commoner isn’t dead, is he?

And if he hadn’t rushed towards me, I wouldn’t have thought it was an assassin and tried to stop him from getting to the Prince.”

<Assassin what?>

<He wasn’t stupid.>

<Ten years living and suffering in his past life had honed his skills to the T!>

<Unconsciously, he knew that person coming towards him was a commoner but…..>

The king stared at this boy that was saying one thing and then thinking another in exasperation, wondering if he would even take the entire case to his entire kingdom too.

<….he had just reacted.>

<His body hadn’t even allowed him to check, his mind became jumbled the longer he heard those rushing footsteps and after all the nightmares he had been having of his past life?

His body and mind wasn’t in the right head space so had just turned and grabbed him.>

<And those commoners!>

<They didn’t even make things better at all.>

<They just kept yelling and screaming and calling him names and all he could see again was that same nightmare playing out right in front of his eyes.>

<The entire thing almost bled together until he discovered that the commoner was only pretending during his struggles and when he fainted?

It was fake too.>

<But no!

This king didn’t check that.

His son didn’t check it too.>

<Both of them….not really smart in the head.>

<Well, he should have known….they were the same in his previous life.>

[New Gossip Discovered.]

<Hm?>

<Another one already?>

<Are these people incapable of behaving themselves for even five minutes?>

A long chapter to make up for all the missed days.

it will constant from now on!!!
