Cassian lazily walked into the castle, but his father grabbed him by the arm and began to pull him quickly towards the Hall Of Ascension and soon they were all filing one after the other into the hall.
Following it by ranks and all that;
First the two dukes stepped into the Hall and then they were followed closely by the Marquess and the Marquis and it might look kinda weird to anyone but the new King came up with this method of distributing power equally after he came to power.
He didn’t want his one person to have total control over everything and he didn’t want one person thinking the could overthrow the monarchy whenever they wanted.
That’s what happens when power gets into someone’s head.
Anyway, none of these were said to be in the previous monarchy or the one before…which he found a tad bit puzzling.
Then they were followed closely by the middle nobility and that was the two Counts and then the two Viscount(s) and then the lesser nobility followed behind us accompanied by trusted advisors and generals who didn’t require the status quo to do whatever they wanted to whomever they wanted in Court.
Shaking his head as he stepped up to stand beside his father, he felt like coming here today was like the worst punishment anyone could ever give to him.

Cassian stifled his laughter as best as he could but he failed to see when the King stumbled on the stairs and almost fell as his ministers began to laugh and hide their face away from him.
The King was so embarrassed that he gave up on etiquette and quickly walked to his chair to sit down and try to hide his humiliation from his ministers.

He smiled at that thought only for his eyes to meet that of the Crown Prince who was staring intensely at him as if he was trying but failing to dissect something and it was making him frustrated.

Did someone finally mess up his pills and poisoned him?
Arrgh he was waiting patiently for the gossip of his infertility!

The king was beside himself with all these news he was getting, he sneaked a glance at the Crown Prince and then his eyes trailed down to his son’s nether regions and he shuddered before calling his Eunuch forward and whispering some things into his ears.
“You little piece of shit!
How dare you say such things about Spears?!” The Eldest Princess’s voice filled the entire Hall and many ministers shivered at the rage in her voice but Cassian merely flicked his gaze to hers and looked away as if he didn’t even have any time for her.
What is she being so upset about?
Don’t worry, Spears will burst into this place at anytime now and inform her that her study was on fire and he needed her pass and medal to get into it and put it out before it grew.
He had been standing beside the Crown Prince in his past life when that happened and thinking that it wasn’t just a minor fire, the Eldest Princess had foolishly given him the items and after that, he disappeared with a whole lot of things.
But he hadn’t become the Head of the Whistle Security Team then so getting out of the capital was hard even for him so it didn’t take too much for my suspicious self to catch him right at the gate.
“What are you even talking about?

Count Valmont, bridle the tongue of your boy or I’ll have the heads of your entire family for it!!” The Eldest Princess shouted and the Count fell to his knees, trembling with fear.
“Stop talking, Cassian!” He furiously whispered to his son but Cassian was still confused.
“Talking?
I haven’t said anything since I got here.” He said and murmurings soon filled the hall but before anyone could even say anything, the door burst open and someone rushed in.
It was SPEARS!!
Hehehehehheh, I’ve been waiting for you.
Come on, angel, don’t disappoint me.
Cassian smiled widely as Spears rushed forward and fell to his knees, his entire body trembling as he began to lay out his news.
“Ath—Eldest Princess!
Your study is on fire.
We need your keys and your pass medal to get into it to stop it from spreading!”

The Eldest Princess stumbled backwards upon hearing all these and her eyes cut sharply towards the boy who seemed to be having quite a lot of fun as he watched the scene play out.
Even the King and the Crown Princess and every one else in that room were stunned beyond belief.

Just then, the Eunuch that the King had sent out earlier rushed back into the Hall Of Ascension with his cap askew as he rushed towards the King and quickly reported something into his ears.
The King’s face turned pale as he heard it all and then he fell back into his chair and closed his eyes.
Cassian looked around when he didn’t hear anything and found everyone staring at him once again in stunned confusion and something else he couldn’t name.
He wondered if Trevor had finally inflicted all these people with his bad decisions, always staying out late and waking up drunk.
Who knows what else these people had gone and tried for them to look so stupid.
Eeh whatever.
As if he cared.
But seriously, give him the pass and keys!

He turned to the Eldest Princess who soon cleared her throat and turned to her elder brother for help.
The king followed suit and cleared his throat too and Cassian briefly wondered if they were all having pneumonia.
“Spears, you have been found guilty of deceiving the Eldest Princess and also deceiving the King.
You have been found guilty of being a spy from the enemy Kingdom and evidence of all your other crimes has been stacked against you.
Drag him out and lock him u—”
“No, behead him immediately!” The Eldest Princess’s voice was cold as she gave that judgment and Cassian raised an eyebrow at her ruthlessness.
But what exactly was this?
Why was this deviating from how it should have been in his past life?
How did the King even know about all these?
Come to think of it, the entire court procession today had been kind of weird.
What could have caused it?
Wait a minute, last time that the crown prince found out about that illegal dealings, he had also been this way for about ten seconds to four minutes.

“Court Adjourned!” The king quickly gave the signal to his Eunuch who passed the order and everyone bowed as the royals rushed out of the Hall as if there was fire on their heels.
