Cassian Valmont
A minute later and he was around the table and tapping furiously on the buttons that he knew from his past life that would unlock an entire row of dogs and cats and some others.
His hands moved with the speed of lightning as he tapped and pushed at different buttons, and when he was finally done, he heard screams filling the entire building and smirked in pure delight.
Job done.
“What did you do?” The Crown Prince asked him, his face an ever present mask of calm but his eyes shone with caution as he flicked his eyes toward the door where the screams were coming from.
“Nothing much, just a little bit of trouble.” He replied before he turned around and walked towards the door to peek outside.
A scene of pure chaos greeted him when he did and a small laughter began to bubble up from within him but he quickly held it back to prevent those animals from knowing that he was there.
“You released the beasts?” The crown prince asked from behind him and he nodded with a mischievous expression on his face before he closed the door and turned around to leave through the door they had entered with.
But just as expected, the Crown Prince stepped out to stand in front of him and blocked his way forward.
Great, just what I wanted to see.
“Do you have a good reason as to why you made such a decision on your own?” The Crown Prince questioned him and he shrugged with pure indifference before responding.
“It just felt like fun at the time….” He stopped before smirking.
“And it still does!” He walked past the Crown Prince and stepped out into the small hallway that led towards the chaos.
Alright, let’s go commit more crimes!
He curled his hands behind his back as he walked forward with a leisurely pace, taking long but slow strides as if he had all the time in the world to walk through the short hallway.
Sharp screams suddenly filled the air and his brows furrowed as his strides became more quicker and as soon as he crossed the threshold where the hallway came to a stop, his eyes widened in shock at what he was seeing.
Five huge husky dogs were on the female owner of the pet shop, the same woman that had greeted him when he first arrived.
They were each trying to either kill her or maim her.
But there were so many chunks of flesh that had been ripped off from her legs and arms and she was bleeding from so much more different places.
Only her face remained untouched but it would see as if the fight she was putting on was not helping that much because her movements were becoming less aggressive by the second.
Cassian chuckled in pure amusement as he watched the scene but before he could start to properly enjoy it, someone stepped up in front of him and drew his sword.
What the heck is this guy doing?!
He quickly stepped forward before the Crown Prince could make a move and grabbed a tight hold of his arms before pulling them backwards.
“Y— unhand me this moment!” The Crown Prince ordered but he merely gave him a look that said ‘oh please, I’ve had a whole ten years to learn everything about you, if you think you’re escaping my hold just to spoil my fun then you’re joking!’
“This is cinema at its finest, why would I be so foolish as to let you go or as you said…–” he made a face before completing his words.
“Unhand you.”
“Stopping me from saving her is the same as accepting the fact that you are to be held accountable for her death and the consequences of everything that happened here today will be stacked against you and used as such!” The Crown Prince said, his once calm voice now rising an octave above normal as he tried to talk sense into the head of the ignorant boy above him.
But Cassian merely gave him a funny look before looking up when the screams of the woman started to die down.
As if that’s not what I want.
Oh please.
I would be a clown if I am not playing my villainous role to the fullest and that’s not going to happen anytime soon.
Besides, your mind would be blown to bits when you realize that these are all pets that had been stolen from their owners in the dead of the night and trafficked here to be sold at high prices due to their value.
For a moment, the Crown Prince stilled in Cassian’s hold but Cassian was too busy watching the dogs start to retreat when they were finally done with their revenge plan.
And it was at that moment that guards finally burst through the doors and rushed into the building with swords drawn if they were rushing into battle.
When they saw the chaos before them, each of them froze in place as they tried to understand exactly what was happening before their very eyes.
Cassian took that as his cue to let the Crown Prince go and stepped back to dust his clothes, disgust rolling through him at the close proximity he had held with this evil fellow.
His eyes turned into slits as he looked them onto that of the Crown Prince and Lysander almost took a step back at the hostility he could glean from those eyes.
Seriously, I just had to hold this bastardized fellow in my arms.
Gods, I feel like setting my skin on fire just to wash his scent and touch off of me.
What a mistake!
Damn, I need to change out of these clothes before I get more angry.
He cursed under his breath before glancing around, oblivious to the way the Crown Prince winced visibly and what passed through his eyes when he heard all that.
And also oblivious to the fact that the Crown Prince was already moving to foil every one of his plans.
As he walked around the place, searching for a cloth to wear, he pulled off his clothes and threw him aside with all the disgust one could ever have for something foul.
His muscles rippled as he walked and a pair of eyes were drawn inexplicably towards him like a moth to a flame but Cassian dint know this until he finally found a pure white shirt hanging in a storage closet that had been slightly opened when he was looking around.
Thankful that it held no smell of any kind, he pulled it on and just then—
[New Gossip Discovered.]
[Crown Prince Lysander Loves staring at your body and he was just staring at your body when you took off your shirt and his eyes were all googly!]
Huh?
That was about the fourth time he had heard that nonsense and he quickly turned around only to find out that the Crown Prince wasn’t even staring at him anymore and was speaking to one his his guards in hushed tones.
What were they discussing?
How to capture me and lock me up?
The bail they could put on me?
Because I’m certain father would bail me out even if it was just to save face.
Though the stain on my own reputation would be irreparable and irreversible and that would make me the villain in every one’s eyes when they finally get the full gist of how the son of a Count wrecked havoc on a local pet shop just because it seemed like fun to him.
This is going much better than I thought it would and franjly, I am impressed.
So come at me, Crown Prince!
For I am ready to be judged and locked up for my crimes.
Who knows, if that woman is also dead then he could add murder to my case and that would be even better!!
The Crown Prince spared him a contemplative glance and Cassian raised a perfect eyebrow at him as if asking.
‘What’s the cause of the wait?’
Then he returned his gaze back to the man beside him and ordered quite audibly.
“Report this to the King immediately and get the appropriate authorities for local crimes here on your way out.”
The man nodded and bowed respectfully before he turned and flashed Cassian a broad smile before he quickly left the place entirely.
Cassian stared as the man left and glanced behind him to make sure he wasn’t seeing double and that the man had been really smiling at him like he just did the world a great favor and when he saw no one behind him, his eyes narrowed in thought.
What’s going on?
Why did that man smile at me strangely?
Is this a weird way of telling me that I was done for completely?
What a weird way of saying that!
But whatever, not my problem and not my business.
I have jail time to prepare for anyways.
By this time, the other guards had somehow gotten the situation under control and was now struggling with putting the four husky dogs back into their respective cages.
But that didn’t seem to be working out well for them.
The four beasts were ferocious and even the swords that had been drawn out for them was not enough to make them back down from taking what they thought was theirs.
Freedom.
His eyes shifted to them when one of the guards became frustrated beyond belief and raised his sword before bringing it down on one of the beasts as if to slice its head clean off and end their apparent misery.
It was a very wrong move.
Because at that same moment, another one saw through his intentions and lunged straight at the guard’s neck that was open for attack and Cassian shook his head in pure annoyance.
His hand reached for the buttons on his clothes and ripped three clean off before launching them straight at the duo.
The buttons sailed through the air with speed and slammed into them.
One got the man hard on his wrists and the sword went flying, another got the dog on its head and it let out a startled cry as it tumbled to the ground in pain while the third one slammed into eyes of the dog that was being attacked to quell whatever revenge it hoped to get afterwards.
How can they all be so stupid?!
Especially the guard.
Huskies were intelligent beasts with the bloodline of a ferocious wolf and a shiver of the bloodline of a dog so their innate strength was quite high.
They were cute creatures but also deadly ones too who were too intelligent for their own good and with the way that other attacking one had launched himself immediately that guard made a move against the other dog?
There was no questioning that these huskies had a different type of wolf blood running through their veins.
Making them far more intelligent than most but also, far more formidable.
If he had gotten a hold of the throat of that idiot just now then he would be dead in a second.
The Crown Prince turned towards him with question brimming in his eyes and Cassian raised an eyebrow before looking behind him.
“Damn, where did that come from?!!” He exclaimed in sheer terror and jumped out of the place he had been standing as if it was hot enough to burn him.
There was no need to show his cards and everything he had learned in his past life this early to this evil man.
Who knows what evil thoughts he might cook up in his head.
