Seven faint streams of aura shimmered like dreams around the vibrant mountain. When the wind blew and the clouds shifted, it looked like a wonderland on earth!

What was worth mentioning was that the seven-colored peak, rising abruptly and piercing the clouds, was actually situated within a small basin at an altitude of several thousand meters!

Steep terrain enclosed the basin, sealing it off from the outside world. Smooth cliff walls stretching for thousands of meters bore a thick layer of damp green moss.

The steep cliffs and hazy mist seemed to echo one another, blocking wandering travelers who dreamed of crossing them.

At first glance, it looked like an impassable Heavenly Chasm, enough to fill anyone with despair!

At this moment, atop this mist-shrouded Heavenly Chasm, stood a hazy figure.

There, one could see—

His eyes flashed like lightning, his aura surged skyward, and he held a silver spear with a red tassel like fire.

He moved as he pleased,

His movements flowed like clouds and water, leaving countless Afterimages across the highland thousands of meters above the ground!

Each strike was fierce, building upon the last, one move surpassing the next. Upon reaching the peak, the man leapt into the air, his aura like a rainbow!

"Boom!!" A deafening explosion rang out. A massive boulder a short distance ahead shattered into dust beneath a single spear thrust!

A large amount of debris tumbled down from thousands of meters in the air. Such overwhelming power! Such formidable strength!

"Greetings, Second Senior Brother!"

Amid the swirling rock dust, the man's mind stirred at the sound of light footsteps approaching. He drew back his spear and turned to face the newcomer.

The next moment, a blurry figure gradually emerged from the hazy mist—a handsome boy with a hint of wickedness appeared atop the cliff!

"Hiss!" Child Servant Zhi'e drew a sharp breath. Staring at the imposing man before him, he exclaimed, "Junior Brother, it hasn't even been three years, and your Fire-Tipped Spear has already reached such refined mastery! A genius, truly a genius…"

"Second Senior Brother flatters me!" The man remained calm, returned the greeting, then raised an eyebrow in puzzlement. "Senior Brother, have you come for something?"

Child Servant Zhi'e paused. Displeasure flickered in his eyes as he put on an air of seniority.

He scolded him fiercely: "What? Can't Senior Brother come find you without a reason?"

"Alright, alright, Senior Brother just saw that you've been cultivating desperately in seclusion ever since you joined our sect, and worried you might run into trouble. It was only a joke!"

Seeing that the man was about to explain, Child Servant Zhi'e waved a hand dismissively.

He dropped his fierce expression and stated his purpose: "Junior Brother, Master sent me to find you. He wishes to see you!"

The man's eyes lit up. He stowed his Fire-Tipped Spear and strode into the mist, leaving Child Servant Zhi'e standing there awkwardly.

"That guy! Still so cold and distant!" Looking a bit annoyed, Child Servant Zhi'e hurried to catch up.

Seven-Colored Spirit Severing Mountain,

within the Grotto-Heaven Paradise amid the misty peak……

two graceful boys stood on either side of a kindly old Daoist, who sat with his eyes closed and rested his spirit.

"Disciple pays respects to Master!"

The man knelt and bowed reverently, then looked up at the three figures before him. The refined, kind-hearted boy on the left met his gaze and nodded with a smile.

His gaze then fell upon the wicked-looking boy grinning at him from the other side.

The man's heart gave a slight start: he had set off later yet arrived first—what remarkable speed!

"Feng'er! How long has it been since you joined my sect?" The kindly old Daoist opened his eyes and studied the man kneeling before him.

"Reporting to Master, counting today, it has been exactly three years since your disciple arrived!" The man thought for a moment before answering truthfully.

"Three hundred and sixty days in a year, ninety in each season… and three years have passed in the blink of an eye!"

The old Daoist tilted his head back and sighed. His wise eyes burned like torches, and his profound gaze seemed to pierce the Cave Abode's stone walls and reach the heavens!

"Have you fully comprehended the External Avatar Technique I passed on to you?" Setting aside his emotion, the old Daoist turned his sharp gaze toward the man.

"Boom!" At his words, the man's mind stirred. A blurry figure solidified from illusion into reality before the three of them.

It was a White-Haired elder!

Immediately after, there came a soft thud.

The elder knelt like the man before him.

"Marvelous!" The two boys stared at the elderly figure in wonder.

Surprise flickered in both their eyes, accompanied by a trace of envy. Yet ordinary jealousy was entirely absent from them.

"Good! You've grasped the essence!" The old Daoist's eyes sharpened as he praised the man.

He then continued: "From what Zhi'e tells me, you've achieved considerable mastery over the Fire-Tipped Spear. In that case, you may descend the mountain!"

The two boys looked at the man without expression, though envy flickered in their eyes again.

"Master! Has this disciple done something to offend you?" The two figures merged into one, and the man asked in confusion, a trace of reluctance showing in his eyes.

"No, no. You shall accompany Zhishan on a journey. After the seventh level, come see me again!"

The old Daoist smiled kindly and waved his Horsetail Whisk. The scene around them shifted.

After seeing the two off, the old Daoist closed his eyes slightly. Behind him, Child Servant Zhi'e muttered quietly: "Junior Apprentice Brother's got it so good, getting to go down the mountain and play whenever he pleases!"

The old Daoist's ears twitched as he smiled. "Zhi'e, if you can cultivate your External Avatar to the physical realm, I'll send you down the mountain too!"

Child Servant Zhi'e fell silent, scratched his head, and cursed himself for talking too much.

After awkwardly glancing at the old Daoist's expression and seeing nothing unusual, he finally let out a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, Master did not press the matter further!

"Junior Brother Feng Ling, Master has entrusted you with an important task. Don't overthink it—come with me for now!"

Mist swirled before them as the refined boy and the kneeling man appeared together outside the Cave Abode.

When the man stood, looking bewildered, Zhishan Boy explained.

"Thank you, Eldest Senior Brother!" The man dismissed his doubts and smiled at the refined boy in thanks.

Zhishan waved his hand, and the two vanished together into the immortal mist atop the Seven-Colored Spirit Severing Peak.

That's right! That heroic, radiant man was Feng Ling, who had nearly died three years earlier!

And the Master before whom he had knelt was Old Daoist Qingniu, who had saved his life three years earlier!

After cultivating the External Avatar Technique, Feng Ling's Natal Ghost Spirit had become corporeal.

Feng Ling's True Body had regained the appearance of his past life and now coexisted with Ling Weiyun's Clone.

With a single thought, he could become two people. Through their shared bloodline resonance, the two bodies could fight independently—even challenge each other!

Ling Weiyun's Eighth-Rank Ghost Spirit Body had already formed the eighth-revolution External Avatar.

Feng Ling still had seven Ghost Spirit Bodies. Over these three years, his Original Body had focused on the Fire-Tipped Spear, yet his cultivation had reached the seventh transformation, with combat strength comparable to the eighth!

The two bodies did not train in a haphazard mix of techniques. Feng Ling gave Ling Weiyun's Clone every technique related to Taiji Fist and bare-handed combat.

The Clone focused on the Thunderbolt Art, while the Original Body focused on the Overlord Spear Technique. Feng Ling arranged them this way for his own reasons.

Every time one breaks out of the shell, it is a rebirth……

Amid the chaos and troubles of this world, may the Sage offer everyone a Pure Land of the Soul.
