Under the gaze of row after row of resentful eyes, the bicycle passed steadily through the parking lot and finally headed out the school gate.

“That’s my third heartbreak today!”

“Who is that boy? I’m so angry!”

From time to time, angry discussions and wailing rose from the people around them.

Su Jingyan buried his head in Lu Yichen’s back and could clearly hear his heart beating faster and faster.

Lu Yichen looked back at the people who were talking about them. His unfathomable eyes flickered slightly, and a gloomy chill showed in them.

Every passerby unlucky enough to meet his gaze involuntarily fell silent and stood stiffly in place. They no longer dared to move and almost forgot to breathe.

That look was terrifying…

As soon as the bicycle passed through the school gate, it slowly came to a stop.

Su Jingyan raised his head from Lu Yichen’s back and looked suspiciously at the person in front of him.

Lu Yichen didn’t speak. He turned his head and pointed in one direction. His eyes seemed unfocused for no reason. They were completely black and dull, like a pool of stagnant water.

Su Jingyan looked in the direction he pointed and stopped short when he saw what it was.

It was a dessert shop.

It was the place where he went to buy small cakes and other treats after school every day, and where he had bought the pork floss roll the day before.

Su Jingyan raised his head, his thoughts complicated, the luster in his eyes flickering, and an indescribable feeling stirring in his heart.

He really hadn’t expected Lu Yichen to notice such a detail.

Going there to buy desserts after school had almost become a habit.

There were actually several reasons he bought small desserts after school. It wasn’t just because he was idle and had nothing better to do.

First, he was very fond of small desserts and loved to eat them. Eating them while he walked gave him an indescribable happiness.

Second, he had been studying all day, and by the time school was over, his stomach was already growling and he needed something to fill it.

Third, he walked a long way home every time and burned calories on the road. If he had to wait until he got home to eat, he was afraid he would be so hungry that his stomach would hurt.

Su Jingyan climbed off the back seat of the bicycle in a daze, feeling a bit dizzy, and gave Lu Yichen a long look before leaving.

As soon as he walked into the dessert shop, as always, the shop owner became very enthusiastic when she saw him and said loudly, “You’re here! I was just thinking about you. Do you want macarons or a pork floss roll today?”

When Su Jingyan came out of the dessert shop, he was still in a daze. He didn’t remember what he had bought, but in short, he had many bags in his hands.

It was really hard to refuse such kindness, especially since every time, the owner seemed unable to wait to give him a little more dessert and didn’t even want to take his money.

Lu Yichen stood motionless where he had stopped. His bloodless, pale face was expressionless, and he stood there as gloomy as a building, without the slightest emotion.

“Let’s go!” Su Jingyan came back to his senses and climbed straight back on, then smiled, showing eight teeth, a smile almost too dazzling to look at yet impossible to look away from.

Lu Yichen nodded. When Su Jingyan walked over, his dark eyes slowly followed the other boy’s steps. Once Su Jingyan was seated steadily on the back seat, he slowly turned his head to the front.

His neck turned stiffly, like a robot’s, with a crackling sound.

Su Jingyan held on to the corner of Lu Yichen’s clothes with one hand and, with the other, stuffed a small dessert contentedly into his mouth.

Every now and then, it made a very small crunching sound.

Su Jingyan felt that Lu Yichen was the gentlest boy he had ever met in his life.

Heh.

Perhaps because Su Jingyan was eating and it was hard for him to hold on, or perhaps for some other special reason, Lu Yichen rode very slowly the whole way and took care to keep the bicycle very steady.

From time to time, a gust of wind blew by, lifting the hair in front of Su Jingyan’s eyes and revealing those impossibly clean doe eyes, shining brightly.

“Yichen.” Su Jingyan tilted his head. The person in front didn’t speak but only glanced back, head slightly bent. Su Jingyan knew that he had heard.

“Tomorrow, I’ll make you lunch too!” After he spoke, Su Jingyan’s eyes grew brighter and his expression a little nervous, and the hand holding the corner of Lu Yichen’s clothes couldn’t help tightening.

Lu Yichen’s dull eyes slowly came into focus. The wind lifted the edge of his bangs, revealing eyes that couldn’t have been colder, and they flickered.

Just when Su Jingyan thought he wouldn’t reply, and his whole body drooped…

“Mm.”

The corners of Su Jingyan’s eyes curved again.

Senior…

Don’t regret any of what you did today…

You’ve already been locked up by the devil.

He chuckled.

Don’t try to escape.

Su Jingyan leaped off the back seat of the bicycle like a little rabbit.

He looked at the boy sitting on the bicycle, blinked, and his doe eyes lit up. He said softly, “You go back on my bicycle first, and we’ll meet tomorrow morning!”

As he spoke, he picked up his school bag, holding the small dessert in his hand, and got ready to open the door of the house.

After he had opened the door, he realized that Lu Yichen was still standing there without moving.

Su Jingyan looked at him in surprise.

Lu Yichen’s face was still expressionless, and his eyes were fixed on him, making it impossible to read his emotions.

Su Jingyan blinked, the corners of his eyes curving, and called to him, “Lu Yichen! See you tomorrow!”

Sure enough, the boy silently turned his head back to the front of the bicycle, pushed off with his feet, and rode on.

Su Jingyan closed the door and hummed a song as he walked inside.

As he went in, he took off his shoes. He didn’t know exactly what was on his mind, but he also took off his socks and stepped onto the floor with his snow-white bare feet, letting the cold chill the soles of his feet.

But what he didn’t see was that an inexplicable wisp of black smoke had wrapped around his leg and was constantly rubbing against his ankle.

Su Jingyan felt only a chill.

This might have been the earliest he had ever come home. The sky wasn’t dark yet, and it was still early.

He carried his school bag into his bedroom. Right away, he threw the bag onto the bed and leaped after it, landing with his whole body limp and soft.

Today had been really tiring.

He turned over, propped his waist against the headboard, and braced his hands on either side of himself.

Both feet were raised and shaking nonstop in the air. He looked very happy, and the whole person seemed to be in a state of excitement.

The posture showed off his curves very well, and his waistline was fully exposed.

Suddenly, Su Jingyan felt his phone vibrate in his pocket.

He paused and slowly took the phone out of his pocket. Someone had sent him a message.

Su Jingyan was a person who paid great attention to his privacy. He avoided all social media, and very few people knew his phone number. Basically, unless there was a special reason, he wouldn’t give it out.

And he didn’t like chatting with people through a screen or anything of the sort, because he felt it lacked warmth.

It was his junior, Song Keyin, who had sent the message.

He opened it with suspicion, thinking that the Green Olive Club didn’t seem to have anything special going on that would require bothering him recently.

Sender: Song Keyin

[Senior Jingyan, who was that boy walking with you today?]

Su Jingyan paused and replied with a question mark.

Song Keyin was a girl with a sense of propriety. He hadn’t expected something like this to make her gossip, even going so far as to message him specifically to ask.

Sender: Song Keyin

[Well, just to be clear, I’m not spying on your privacy, and I don’t have any malicious intentions. If you really don’t want to talk about it, just pretend I never sent this message. I hope you’re happy every day, senior!]

Of course, Su Jingyan knew she had no malicious intentions. He just found it a little strange.

In the next moment, something seemed to slowly attach itself to his waist and then wrap around Su Jingyan’s limbs. It was freezing cold, and the temperature of the whole room dropped with it.

The invisible thing watched Su Jingyan’s every move, including the content of the messages he sent to others.

Hehe.

My senior…

The invisible being’s lips pressed against the back of Su Jingyan’s neck, biting and examining it carefully.

Su Jingyan seemed to feel the peculiar sensation on his neck and instinctively touched it, feeling slightly out of sorts.

Why does it feel like something is wrapped around my neck?

How strange.

Su Jingyan didn’t pay much attention to it and went on thinking seriously about the question he wanted to ask.

Kekeke.

Senior…

What am I in your heart?

Tsk.

Finally, after hesitating for a while, Su Jingyan typed out each letter one by one and clicked send.

On the other end, Song Keyin was anxiously waiting for Su Jingyan’s reply.

She really wanted to tell him the truth, but she was also afraid that her senior would take her for a madwoman and wouldn’t believe a word she said.

Her phone vibrated slightly, and she immediately moved to click on the message.

When she saw clearly what it said, her heart suddenly sank, and the phone fell to the ground with a clatter.

Sender: Senior Jingyan

[He was the person I like.]

After sending the message, Su Jingyan felt inexplicably embarrassed and quickly turned off his phone, his face hot and flushed.

He even started rolling on the bed in embarrassment, from side to side.

Su Jingyan touched his feverish face, his little doe eyes still bright.

But what he couldn’t see was that the thing that had been strangling his neck slowly let go and then gently rubbed against his face.

Hehe.

I love you…

Senior…
