Ba-thump, ba-thump, ba-thump.

A shadowy figure hiding in the darkness watched the two people walking ahead of it, so friendly with each other, and sneered from time to time.

Su Jingyan’s face was still flushed, a rosy glow on his cheeks.Full novel: The Paranoid Bosses Are All My Boyfriend — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Lu Yichen was pushing the bicycle, with bags hanging from its handlebars, and carrying Su Jingyan’s school bag on his back as the two walked side by side.

Su Jingyan narrowed his eyes and turned his head to peek happily at Lu Yichen from time to time.

Looking at the scene from a distance, one could sense a feeling of tranquility.

But the black figure that had been following them kept gnashing its teeth, looking agitated.

Jingyan…

How can you be with someone else…

Mine…

You’re mine…

I’ll kill you…

I’ll kill you…

Lu Yichen’s expression remained unchanged. His eyes darted aside, and he glanced behind him from the corner of his eye. Then he walked on expressionlessly, a flash of light in his eyes.

Ah.

Another ugly bug has come.

Lin Yiming’s fingers were clenched into fists, his nails digging into his palms, and he wore a ferocious smile.

No one knew how long he stared at them. Finally, he took a sharp dagger out of his pocket, held it in his hand, and rubbed the blade slowly against the wall.

It made a harsh, unpleasant grating sound.

I’ll murder you both…

Su Jingyan and Lu Yichen bought a lot of couple outfits, all chosen according to Su Jingyan’s favorite style. When Lu Yichen tried on his new clothes, Su Jingyan was stunned.

Lu Yichen’s body had good muscle proportions and lines, but he usually wore that ugly school uniform, which didn’t show off his figure at all. Once he dressed up a little, he would be the most handsome boy at school.

It gave Su Jingyan the surprise of discovering a treasure lost at sea.

Su Jingyan had already worked out in his mind how well these clothes would create a couple’s aura.

The more he thought about it, the more excited he became.

The autumn wind blew in gusts, from left to right, carrying a touch of coolness.

The two walked side by side down the noisy street, with people coming and going and many maple trees planted along the road.

In this autumn season, with its hint of withered yellow, a few leaves fell from the trees from time to time and scattered on the ground.

“Rustle.”

Su Jingyan shrugged as a withered yellow maple leaf landed on his head.

Before Su Jingyan could reach up to brush off the leaf, Lu Yichen stepped ahead of him, reached out with soft eyes, and plucked the maple leaf from his head.

Su Jingyan froze in place, his eyelashes trembling as they followed Lu Yichen’s movements, and it was as if pink bubbles had appeared around them.

After removing the maple leaf, Lu Yichen reached out and patted the top of Su Jingyan’s head twice, as if smoothing the fur of a little cat.

Su Jingyan blinked his doe eyes, the corners curving, and smiled like a flower.

“Let’s go.” Lu Yichen withdrew his hand, swung his leg over, and sat on the front seat of the bicycle.

Ready to go home.

Su Jingyan nodded and was about to sit down when he froze as if he had seen something, forgetting what he had been about to do.

Lin Yiming came out from around the corner with a gloomy face, a knife in his hand, and walked straight through the crowd. His eyes were fixed on Su Jingyan, and he wore a hideous smile like a circus clown’s.

His eyes were cloudy, full of undisguised morbidity and coldness, and even revealed a frightening murderous intent.

The pupils of Su Jingyan’s beautiful doe eyes shrank slightly, and his whole body went cold.

The crowd on the side of the road seemed to have noticed the knife in Lin Yiming’s hand. Several innocent passersby were so frightened that their legs went weak, and, their faces full of horror, they almost fell to the ground before scrambling away.

All at once, the whole street was filled with piercing screams.

Su Jingyan seemed frozen in place, motionless, as if everything around him had frozen too.

Lin Yiming came closer and closer, a ferocious smile stretching the corners of his mouth. Slowly he raised the knife and quickened his approach, aiming at Su Jingyan’s chest.

Su Jingyan’s heart stopped, and he forgot to struggle. Before the knife could pierce him, a force came from behind him, pulling him by the shoulders. He fell into someone’s arms, and the bicycle, no longer balanced by Lu Yichen’s weight, clattered to the ground.

Lu Yichen kicked Lin Yiming violently in the waist. His eyes narrowed, and he pulled Su Jingyan behind him, gritted his teeth, and smiled a smile even gloomier and more terrifying than Lin Yiming’s.

The kick knocked Lin Yiming straight to the ground, and there was no telling how much strength Lu Yichen had used.

Lin Yiming struggled on the ground, clutching his waist and abdomen with his left hand, his expression even more ferocious, and gripped the knife in his right hand tighter.

He struggled up from the ground, his chest heaving as he panted furiously, his eyes wide open, and looked at Lu Yichen as if he wanted to swallow him in one gulp.

Lin Yiming shook his head, and his bones made a crunching sound.

Holding the knife steady, he pointed it at Lu Yichen again, ready to charge once more.

Go to hell, bastard!

But this time, Su Jingyan reacted extremely fast. Almost instinctively, he tried to rush forward and shield Lu Yichen, to block the fatal blow, and he didn’t know where he had found the courage.

But Lu Yichen didn’t give Su Jingyan the chance. He once again shielded him behind his back and sneered extremely coldly.

In the next second, Lin Yiming’s fierce movements seemed to stick, as though something had wrapped around his limbs and restrained him. He stopped completely, his hands frozen in midair, unable to move, his aggression gone.

Lu Yichen narrowed his eyes, which had turned a bloodthirsty scarlet. He straddled Lin Yiming’s thigh and drove his right elbow into his shoulder. Lin Yiming fell to the ground with a loud clang, and the knife slipped from his hand.

Su Jingyan stood behind them and stared wide-eyed in horror at the scene in front of him.

Lin Yiming reached out with difficulty to grab the knife again, but Lu Yichen was quick-eyed and kicked it away. The knife flew far, far away, while Lin Yiming collapsed like a puddle of mud, unable to move.

The bloodthirst in Lu Yichen’s eyes grew even worse. He kicked Lin Yiming hard in the chest, his movements vicious, and every kick made Lin Yiming’s body bounce uncontrollably.

But Lu Yichen kicked harder and harder, the corners of his mouth hooked, a strange light flashing in his eyes and his expression showing a flicker of depravity.

Lu Yichen magnified the other’s pain tenfold, then a hundredfold, so that every time Lin Yiming was kicked, he had the illusion that a whole bone had broken. The pain was so intense that he couldn’t bear it.

But if anyone examined Lin Yiming’s body for injuries, they would find nothing.

So Lin Yiming was entirely the fish on the cutting board.

From Su Jingyan’s point of view, Lu Yichen’s kicks didn’t seem that fierce. He only felt that Lin Yiming’s reaction was very intense.

Lin Yiming and Lu Yichen were almost the same height, but Lin Yiming looked very big, with well-developed arm muscles. When Su Jingyan had first seen the two of them get up, he was a little worried that Lu Yichen would suffer, or even be seriously hurt.

Seeing that Lu Yichen was completely crushing Lin Yiming, the worry in his heart slowly eased.

Suddenly, the siren of a police car sounded in the distance.

Perhaps a passerby had taken the opportunity to call the police.

Lu Yichen slowly took his foot off Lin Yiming and walked straight back to Su Jingyan’s side. The bloodlust in his eyes hadn’t faded, and his body was still twitching slightly with suppressed violence.

Tsk.

Damn bugs…

Su Jingyan’s eyes stung, and he was still afraid. He couldn’t help but throw his arms around Lu Yichen’s waist, bury his whole head in Lu Yichen’s chest, and hug him very hard.

He seemed to realize only now what had happened. Tears streamed down his face without stopping, and his eyes grew a little red and swollen from crying.

Lu Yichen clenched his fists, felt the wetness on his chest, and made a gurgling sound.

These bugs…

Appearing one after another…

Lu Yichen’s neck moved with a crisp crack.

All of them can go to hell…

Lu Yichen hugged Su Jingyan even tighter in return, as if he wanted to press Su Jingyan into his own flesh and blood. His eyes were a little bloodshot, and the redness spread very quickly.

His head rested on top of Su Jingyan’s, his teeth clenched tightly, and the muscles on both sides of his cheeks twitched slightly.

Su Jingyan buried his head deeper, and more and more tears came.

Lu Yichen has saved me three times, exactly three times!

Whenever I’m in any danger, Lu Yichen can rush out right in time, like my patron saint, protecting me in his arms every time and facing the danger alone.

At the thought, Su Jingyan cried even harder, his face pressed against Lu Yichen’s chest, his whole body trembling uncontrollably.

The police car stopped quickly. The policeman took a big step out of the car, saw Lin Yiming lying on the ground and the two crying, embracing boys, took in the situation at a glance, and guessed what had happened.

The male officer said nothing. He rushed over and handcuffed Lin Yiming, who was lying on the ground.

When Lin Yiming was handcuffed, he lay paralyzed on the ground, twitching slightly from the pain. His whole expression was very distorted, like a rabies patient’s, his mouth open, eyes staring, jaws snapping up and down.

There were several officers, so they divided up the work. One or two ran to nearby supermarkets and shops to start checking surveillance footage.

As the only female officer in the group, one policewoman glanced awkwardly at the two boys hugging each other, wondering how to start talking to them and take the person involved in the incident away.

The two of them were hugging so hard that it was as if they were acting out a tearful farewell between star-crossed lovers, especially the taller one, who looked very gloomy.

Judging from their clothes, it wasn’t hard to tell that they were students.

Finally, she walked over and interrupted them. “Ahem. You two, come back to the police station with me.”
