The autumn weather really does change on a whim.
It had been bright and sunny at noon, but by the afternoon it had turned cloudy and rainy.
Fortunately, Su Jingyan always came prepared. No matter the weather, he kept a folding umbrella in his school bag just in case.
As soon as he walked out of the classroom, he heard all kinds of wailing and complaints about the weather.
“Why is it raining again? It was sunny just a moment ago!”
“Oh no, I didn’t bring an umbrella!”
“This weather changes way too much!”
“Jingyan, did you bring an umbrella? I’ll lend you mine.” Su Jingyan had barely taken a step out of the classroom, and before he could take his umbrella out of his schoolbag, someone had eagerly rushed up and offered him theirs. It seemed they had prepared in advance and were waiting for him here.
The other students who had been waiting around to steal a few glances at Su Jingyan when class let out couldn’t help but grind their teeth in annoyance at the sight.
Those without umbrellas hated themselves for not bringing one and missing their chance to be gallant. Those with umbrellas hated themselves for being a step too slow and letting someone else seize the opportunity.
“No need! No need!” Su Jingyan shook his head quickly. Seeing how enthusiastic the person was, he felt a little flustered. Afraid the other party wouldn’t believe him, he hurriedly took his bag off his shoulder and pulled out his umbrella. “I brought an umbrella. You can use yours yourself.”
The other person sighed, feeling very disappointed, but was not discouraged at all, their eyes still shining brightly.
After all, he had finally talked to his idol! So happy!
Su Jingyan let out a sigh.
Fortunately, everyone was fairly orderly. Perhaps it was also because the school didn’t allow electronic devices, but so far he had never seen anyone secretly take pictures of him.
Everyone even consciously kept a safe distance from him. Although they peeked at him at every turn, their gazes were all kind, and no one overstepped, leaving him a comfortable circle of space.
Su Jingyan’s home was fairly far from school, and the route he took was rather long. Unlike the other students, who either took the bus or rode a bicycle to class, he liked to walk.
But what Su Jingyan didn’t notice was that a wild beast had been following behind him the whole time, baring its fangs and claws. If he had only turned his head, he would have noticed its dark shadow.
As he walked, Su Jingyan happily ate the pork floss rolls he had just bought at the school gate. The shopkeeper had cheerfully tucked an extra one in for him.
What he loved most was the feeling of walking home alone, eating snacks along the way, both to and from school.
Thinking of this, Su Jingyan opened his mouth contentedly and took another big bite.
Lu Yichen held no umbrella as he followed silently behind Su Jingyan. The raindrops hit his head mercilessly, soaking his hair and clothes, and he looked as bedraggled as a drowned rat.
But as if he couldn’t feel the cold, he followed Su Jingyan step by step, quietly, his eyes filled with a sickly obsession from beginning to end.
Lu Yichen’s feet stepped into puddles without making the slightest sound, as if the owner of those legs didn’t want to be discovered by the person he was following, and so was being very careful.
Senior is so cute!
Hehe.
Su Jingyan’s footsteps stopped, and he stayed where he was. Perhaps he had a premonition, because he suddenly turned his head and glanced behind him.
But there was nothing there.
The way he went home was through a rather secluded little alley, and he rarely met anyone along it.
And such a narrow, enclosed space easily gave rise to unpleasant thoughts.
Su Jingyan continued walking, quickening his pace.
Because of the rain, and because it was already autumn, the sky had grown quite dark even though it was still early, and it was starting to look almost like nightfall.
“Crash.” It sounded like a glass bottle had been smashed on the ground.
Su Jingyan was startled, and his whole body shuddered.
The next moment, a drunk man stumbled out from around the corner.
The man’s face was covered in pockmarks and acne scars, and he had a sunken nose and thick lips. He was completely drenched by the rain, and his big belly, the size of a six-month pregnant woman’s, bounced up and down as he walked. In his hand, he held the neck of a smashed beer bottle, which made him look very dangerous.
Su Jingyan frowned and walked forward step by step along the wall, tilting his umbrella down a little to partly cover his face, intending to pretend he hadn’t seen anything.
He walked forward in silence, but just as he was about to brush past the man, he was suddenly hit by a wave of dizziness and shoved against the wall. The snack bag and umbrella fell from his hands as he tilted over.
Before he could resist, something suddenly rushed out from the corner like a wild beast released from its cage. As if someone had violated its territory, it was furious, and it bared its sharp fangs and shoved the man pinning Su Jingyan away.
With a single punch, the newcomer knocked the man to the ground. Then, as if possessed, he straddled the man and brought his fists down on the man’s head again and again, each blow savage and deadly.
Lu Yichen’s whole body was twitching, his eyes bulging, the veins on his arms standing out. His expression was terrifying, like a demon crawling out of hell, and the killing intent in his eyes could not be hidden.
The man kept struggling. Twisting around, he picked up the broken beer bottle by its neck and smashed it toward Lu Yichen’s head.
Standing behind them, Su Jingyan witnessed the man smash the broken bottle against the boy’s temple with a deafening crack. The boy’s blood flowed from his head and down his neck.
But Lu Yichen didn’t seem to feel any pain at all. His fists kept landing on the man’s head, one after another, and with one hand he even clamped down on the man’s throat, strangling him until he could barely breathe.
How dare your dirty hands touch my senior?
Die! Go die!
How dare you!
The man was beaten so badly that his nose was bruised and his face was swollen. One of his teeth had been knocked clean out. He was nearly unconscious and had completely lost the ability to resist, dizzily letting the boy continue his reckless attack.
Su Jingyan rushed forward, his eyes red with panic, and grabbed Lu Yichen’s hand. “Stop, Lu Yichen, stop! If you beat him to death, you’ll go to jail. He isn’t worth it!” he shouted.
Because of the recoil from the punches, Lu Yichen’s hands were covered with wounds of all sizes, and his knuckles were bleeding profusely, a shocking sight.
As Su Jingyan rushed up and pulled at his hand, the punch Lu Yichen had already swung froze in midair for fear of hurting him.
It must have taken a tremendous amount of strength to stop so abruptly.
Only then did Su Jingyan notice that the boy’s eyes were bloodshot and that his whole body was trembling. He couldn’t tell whether it was from anger or fear.
The sight made Su Jingyan’s heart ache. He didn’t care that Lu Yichen was drenched in rain and blood and looked like a miserable rat in a gutter. He hugged Lu Yichen’s waist from behind and, weeping, begged, “Let’s go. Forget about him!”
Lu Yichen froze in place, his eyes unfocused, while the man beneath him had long since passed out.
He sat on top of the man without any expression. He was already so pale he seemed bloodless, and now he looked like a walking corpse, without a trace of vitality.
Were it not for his eyes moving twice in Su Jingyan’s direction, he would have looked exactly like a vengeful ghost come to claim a life.
Silently, in his heart, he let out a delighted, deeply satisfied cackle.
Senior.
He hugged me!
So happy.
Su Jingyan helped Lu Yichen up and checked the man’s breathing to make sure he wasn’t dead. Then, without hesitation, he slapped the face that had already been beaten into a pig’s head.
That slap was on Lu Yichen’s behalf.
Su Jingyan’s eyes were also a little bloodshot, and it was clear he was furious as well.
He picked up the umbrella he had dropped in fright, grabbed the boy’s hand, and led him toward the end of the alley without the slightest hesitation.
Lu Yichen gazed greedily at Su Jingyan’s profile and breathed in the scent that belonged to his senior alone. The frenzied desire in his heart, along with his sinful urges, surfaced once again.
“Own him! Own him! Kill him and make him a specimen. Then he’ll belong to you forever!”
Shut up!
Lu Yichen’s eyes flickered slightly.
Only a senior with nobody but him in his eyes was the most beautiful.
Su Jingyan noticed that something was wrong with the boy. Thinking the wound on his head was serious, he said anxiously, “My house is nearby. Hold on a little longer, and I’ll take you to bandage your wound right away!”
Lu Yichen’s dejected, lifeless eyes were fixed intently on his beloved.
I’m so happy!
I never knew the Senior could pay so much attention to me!
If only it could be like this all the time!
Senior, do you know how dangerous it is to take someone home who has improper thoughts about you?
Tsk.
I will definitely hold myself back from killing you!
The alley, where no one passed by, fell silent once again, with only the pattering rain beating against the ground.
The man who had passed out was suddenly enveloped in a cloud of dark mist.
He opened his eyes in a daze.
Before he could react, something invisible suddenly clamped around his neck, dragged him up off the ground, and pinned him against the wall.
Unable to breathe, the man stuck out his tongue, his expression hideous and horribly contorted. His legs kicked wildly, and his hands kept trying to tear away whatever was strangling him, but it was all in vain.
He struggled for a while, but nothing could change the outcome. After one last frenzied struggle, the alley fell silent once more.
Only the pattering of the rain could be heard.
The pork floss roll that had been dropped on the ground was lifted by a sinister wind that came from nowhere. Before it could fall back to the ground, it vanished completely in the next second, as if it had never existed.
As for the corpse…
Ah.
Of course, it would be fed to the poor cats and dogs with no food, for the benefit of all.
How wonderful.
