“Sis, don’t be scared.
I’m here.” A torrential killing intent washed over the men opposite him, and Lin Yu’s rage surged forth like a mighty river.
The black dog’s frantic barking stopped abruptly.
The tattooed man stumbled back several steps, his eyes wide with terror as he stared at Lin Yu.
Snapping out of his shock, the tattooed man pointed at Lin Yu and roared, “So, you’ve decided not to pay up, have you?”
“First, break his damn legs.
Then I’m going to gouge out his sister’s eyes right in front of him.”
Several of the tattooed man’s lackeys immediately rushed Lin Yu, throwing punches and kicks at him while laughing contemptuously.
Lin Yu was thin and wiry; they thought he’d go down with just a few punches.
With a grim expression, Lin Yu unleashed a series of kicks.
With a few loud THUDS, the men were sent flying.
They hit the ground and began to wail in agony.
“You dare touch my men?
I think you’ve got a death wish.” Seeing how easily Lin Yu had dealt with his goons, the tattooed man’s eyes filled with disbelief, which quickly turned to rage.
He charged at Lin Yu and thrust a knife toward his neck.
Just as the blade was about to pierce Lin Yu’s neck, Lin Yu grabbed the tattooed man’s wrist.
With a sharp twist and a sickening SNAP, the bone broke.
The tattooed man howled in pain, his eyes now filled with fear as he looked at Lin Yu.
“I was just trying to scare you!
Don’t take it seriously!”
“First, apologize to my sister.
Then take your dog and get out.”
Lin Yu’s icy gaze made the tattooed man flinch and shrink back.
After a long moment, the tattooed man finally recovered from his shock and stammered, “I-I’m sorry.”
“Get lost,” Lin Yu said coldly.
‘Killing these few would be as easy as lifting a finger, but I don’t want to do it in front of my sister.’
The tattooed man hurriedly helped his fallen men to their feet.
He shot Lin Yu a venomous glare before turning and running off with his black dog, not daring to look back.
“Sis, don’t be afraid.
I chased them away.” Lin Yu turned to look at He Xiaoqi, who was too frightened to speak, but the rage in his heart was impossible to quell.
“Bro, are they really not coming back?” He Xiaoqi trembled, her voice barely a whisper.
Before Lin Yu got out of prison, the tattooed man and his crew had inflicted an indelible trauma on her.
As she spoke, she started crying again.
“I promise, no one will ever dare to torment you again.”
Lin Yu’s eyes turned blood-red once more.
Dong Liya, Xie Mingcheng…
‘I’ll make it so you can’t live, but you can’t die either.’
“Sis, you get some rest.
I’ll be right back.”
Lin Yu had to go to Dong Liya’s house and vent his sister’s anger.
Locking the door, Lin Yu left home.
When he arrived at the bus stop, his heart was still churning with unquelled fury.
A bus pulled up.
Lin Yu took two crumpled bills from his old wallet, deposited them into the fare box, and walked to a seat in the back.
A few stops later, a beautiful girl in a white dress boarded the bus.
Her beauty and poise stunned everyone on board.
The girl, however, looked hurried.
When she squeezed through the crowd and came face-to-face with Lin Yu, she froze for a moment.
She realized that besides Lin Yu, every other passenger on the bus was middle-aged or elderly.
She quickly smiled at Lin Yu and said politely, “Excuse me, sir, could you do me a favor?”
Lin Yu looked at the girl, momentarily taken aback.
“What is it?” he asked, puzzled.
The girl glanced out the window and saw several men in suits chasing after the bus, having almost caught up to the front.
Her voice immediately grew more urgent.
“Sir, please let me hide behind you.
If those men outside get on and ask if you’ve seen me, just say you haven’t.”
Lin Yu nodded.
“Alright.
I’ll stand up, you can hide behind me.”
The girl nodded profusely.
“Thank you so much,” she said gratefully.
Lin Yu stood up, letting the girl duck behind him.
At the same time, a few kind-hearted passengers shifted to block the gaps around Lin Yu, completely concealing the girl.
After the men in suits got on the bus, led by a man with a square face, the others searched the front section before returning to him.
“She’s not up front,” one of the men reported to the square-faced man.
The square-faced man nodded.
“Then let’s check the back.”
The group then walked toward the back of the bus and stopped in front of Lin Yu.
The square-faced man tried to peer past him, but his view was completely blocked by Lin Yu.
He couldn’t see anything.
The square-faced man then addressed Lin Yu, “Sir, excuse me.
Did you happen to see a girl in a white dress get on the bus?”
Lin Yu shook his head.
“Didn’t see anyone.”
The square-faced man nodded.
“Then please step aside.”
“No.” Lin Yu’s reply was blunt, which seemed to surprise the square-faced man and his companions.
The square-faced man repeated, “Please move.”
Lin Yu said firmly, “I said no.”
The square-faced man’s expression darkened.
“Right now, I’m asking nicely,” he said coldly.
“In a minute, that’s not going to be my attitude.”
Lin Yu smirked.
“This bus doesn’t belong to you.
Why should I move just because you tell me to?”
The square-faced man’s face fell, his voice laced with anger.
“So you’re dead set on not moving?”
Lin Yu nodded without a word.
The girl hiding behind Lin Yu couldn’t help but grow more tense, clenching her fists tightly.
But she couldn’t make a sound.
All she could do was pray silently that a conflict wouldn’t break out.
The square-faced man’s expression turned completely grim.
He turned to the men beside him and ordered, “Since he won’t move, don’t blame us for getting rough.
You two, go haul him out of the way.”
Lin Yu’s gaze hardened.
“What?
You’re going to try and get physical with me?” he said, clearly displeased.
With a somber face, the square-faced man didn’t answer and just waved his hand.
Two men in suits stepped up to Lin Yu, grabbed his arms, and tried to drag him away, but to their surprise, he didn’t budge an inch.
‘Does this kid have roots growing out of his feet?’
The square-faced man then personally walked up to Lin Yu, grabbed his arm, and pulled with all his might.
He quickly realized that even with all three of them using every ounce of their strength…
…the young man stood there like an ancient pine, unmovable.
“My patience has its limits, and you’ve successfully worn all of it away.” Enraged, the square-faced man threw a punch at Lin Yu.
THUMP!
The man’s fist slammed into Lin Yu’s chest.
It felt like punching a steel plate, and the impact sent a sharp, agonizing pain through his knuckles.
Stumbling back two steps, the square-faced man looked horrified.
“Now that you’ve had your turn, it’s mine.” The corners of Lin Yu’s mouth curled up as he unleashed a series of kicks as fast as lightning.
A few dull thuds later, the square-faced man and his lackeys were all kicked to the ground.
They glared at Lin Yu, their eyes blazing with fury, sucking in sharp breaths against the pain.
At the same time, they were utterly stunned.
None of them had even seen how he’d kicked.
“Get lost.” Lin Yu spat out the two words coolly.
