“He Sheng! What do you mean by this!” He Kun flew into a rage. “It’s Grandpa’s seventieth birthday, and you actually sent a clock!”

Giving an elder a clock was not an auspicious gesture; in Chinese it sounded like “sending someone off.“ which implied death. The meaning was self-evident.

The old master He felt as though he had suffered a heavy blow. He clutched his chest and staggered backward. Old Madam He and He Qingmei quickly supported him to prevent him from falling to the ground.Full novel: The Poor Little Girl Survives by Clinging to a Yandere Villain — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He Lang said bitterly and indignantly: “He Sheng, even if you have some misunderstanding with the family, you shouldn’t have pulled something like this today. This is completely outrageous!”

“He Sheng, you unfilial brat! If your parents were still alive, you would have driven them to death too!” Old Madam He’s voice was full of a shrewish edge as soon as she spoke. “When you were born, I should have strangled you with my own hands! It would’ve saved your father and mother from being harmed by you. Now you even want to bring misfortune to your grandfather!”

He Sheng ignored them completely. It was a pity she could not speak; otherwise, she would have torn these people apart with words.

“What are you all shouting about?” The man beside her spoke lazily. “Are you annoying or what? Last year, for Uncle He’s inheritance, you almost forced He Sheng to death in the hospital. Do you really think she forgot just because time passed?”

“I don’t even know where you get the face to hypocritically invite her to this ridiculous birthday banquet.”

“You should have some self-awareness. Of course, that assumes you’re even human. From now on, stay away from her. Otherwise, next time it won’t just be a clock.”

Fu Hanye lowered his gaze. “Anything else you want to add?”

He Sheng stood there blankly. Good heavens, was Fu Hanye some kind of worm in her stomach? How did he know exactly what she wanted to say?

It seemed he was not only her life-saving treasure, but also her mouthpiece.

Fu Hanye raised his brows slightly, his dark eyes flickering with a mischievous, deep glint.

A dazed little rabbit.

He helped her today—did that mean he could… collect some reward?

Seeing that Fu Hanye was about to take He Sheng away, an unwilling He Kun rushed forward to block them.

“This is the He family’s business. It’s not your place, someone surnamed Fu, to interfere! He Sheng, if you don’t want your uncle’s life’s work to be ruined, you’d better hand the company over to me. You’re just useless now and can’t do anything. What’s the point of clinging to it? I’m about to graduate. If you give me the company, I promise I’ll give you dividends every year so you’ll live comfortably.”

He Sheng looked at this cousin who had bullied the original owner since childhood and, without hesitation, raised her hand and slapped him.

What trash crawled out from nowhere, spouting nonsense without any sense.

Fu Jingnian managed operations, taking only a management fee each year while all other profits belonged to her.

Even if Fu Jingnian did not want to manage it in the future, she could hire a professional manager. No matter what, it would still be better than He Kun.

What he said was nothing more than the same greed as a year ago—coveting what did not belong to him.

“He Sheng, why are you hitting people when we’re speaking properly!” Liu Jingjing, who had been silent all this time, finally could not hold back when she saw her son being struck. She stepped forward. “Your cousin is the only male heir of the He family! If you ruin him, the He family will have no successor!”

He Sheng shifted her gaze to the woman walking over and, without hesitation, slapped her as well.

Liu Jingjing was no good either—she was rotten to the core.

Back then, she had secretly cut the oxygen tube of the unconscious Original Owner. If not for a nurse discovering it in time, the Original Owner would have already died.

After slapping two people in succession, the remaining He family members all turned livid. He Lang was especially furious.

This was outrageous—how could a young girl openly hit his wife and son in front of everyone? If he did not reclaim his dignity today, how could he ever hold his head up again?

However, before he could even reach He Sheng, Fu Hanye kicked him three meters away. He Lang crashed heavily into the base of a standing clock and clutched his abdomen, groaning in pain.

“Dad!”

“Hubby!”

Cries of alarm erupted one after another. The He family rushed around He Lang, checking on him and hurriedly calling for an ambulance.

He Sheng was extremely satisfied. A sweet smile formed on her lips, revealing two small dimples filled with delight.

She tugged at Fu Hanye, and he understood immediately, leaving the hotel with her.

No one noticed that at the edge of the stage, a girl was still standing there. She was Tang Lin, the daughter of He Qingmei. She stared in a trance at the direction where Fu Hanye had disappeared.

Tang Guoqing noticed his daughter’s unusual expression. Ignoring the chaotic He family, he patted Tang Lin’s shoulder and said gravely: “If you like him, then go after him.”

Tang Lin reluctantly withdrew her gaze. “I understand, Dad. I will definitely get him.”

……

After getting into the car, the corners of He Sheng’s lips still had not lowered, clearly showing she was in a very good mood.

What could be more satisfying than dealing with scum?

“Hey, how are you going to thank me?” Fu Hanye, who had little patience, immediately demanded his reward. “Without my kick just now, your uncle’s slap would’ve landed on your face.”

He Sheng took out pen and paper: Didn’t I already…

Before she could finish writing, Fu Hanye interrupted her.

“Coming with you is one matter. Helping you deal with He Lang is another price.”

He Sheng pressed her lips together. What a shameless man—raising the price on the spot!

She had not even asked him to intervene!

Seeing the little mute puffing up her cheeks, Fu Hanye felt inexplicably pleased. He lifted his leg and placed it directly on her lap.

“Here. Massage my leg. That will count as payment for helping you deal with He Lang.”

He Sheng truly did not know what to say. She pushed his leg away and hugged her arms, curling into the corner in silent refusal.

Fu Hanye, however, refused to let it go. He moved closer, bracing one hand against the car wall, trapping her in the corner.

“Little mute, are you resisting me?”

His voice was low and deep, like a devil whispering. “Being so disobedient… how should I punish you?”

He Sheng shivered inexplicably. She parted her red lips slightly and looked up in surprise.

This… this was exactly what the darkened Fu Hanye loved to say in those cage-play storylines.

Fu Hanye did not notice anything wrong with his words. Darkness swirled in his eyes, blocking out all light.

“Hmm? Have you decided?”

He Sheng pressed the inside of her cheek lightly with her tongue. Suddenly, she wrapped her arms around Fu Hanye’s neck and gently nuzzled into his neck.

Warm skin rubbed against skin—soft, smooth, and warm.

This small, animal-like gesture greatly pleased Fu Hanye and calmed his emotions.

His right arm tightened around her slender waist. Still not satisfied, he simply pulled her onto his lap.

His large hand slid from the back of her neck down to her waist. He clicked his tongue. “Too thin.”

He Sheng rolled her eyes at him secretly.

Of course she was thin.

The Original Owner had not eaten properly for nearly a year and was malnourished. She had only arrived for a few days—how could she possibly have gained weight?

But that was no excuse for him to take advantage of her!

He Sheng grabbed the paper and pen again, writing angrily: None of your business!

Stay out of a beautiful woman’s affairs!

Fu Hanye replied lazily: “Of course it’s my business. Being too thin makes it uncomfortable to hold—you affect my experience.”
