Changing places made He Sheng a little unaccustomed. When she reached for her toothpaste, she accidentally knocked it off. Because her vision was inconvenient, she could not find it on her own, so she asked Fu Hanye to come in and help.
Fu Hanye stared at her for a few seconds, then let out a heavy sigh.
He really had brought out a little ancestor.
The man searched beside the washstand, picked up the toothpaste from the floor, and stuffed it back into He Sheng’s hand.
“Hold it properly. If you drop it again, I won’t help you.”
He Sheng curled her lips into a smile that looked completely harmless.
Fu Hanye, however, did not know that this was not the end of it. After washing up, He Sheng went to the walk-in wardrobe to change clothes. It was unclear whether Sister-in-law Wang had been careless or not, but all the clothes prepared for her were small dresses with zippers at the back.
Let alone He Sheng’s poor eyesight—even with perfect vision, she would not have been able to zip them up by herself.
He Sheng could only manage to pull it up halfway, then went to find Fu Hanye for help.
Her cheeks slightly flushed as she walked to the sofa.
The man put down his phone and raised his brows slightly, letting out a soft “hm” as a response.
He Sheng turned around and swept her hair over one shoulder, revealing a porcelain-white, jade-smooth back and a slender, fragile nape.
Fu Hanye’s breathing paused. The next second, he pulled her directly onto his lap. His large palm gripped the back of her neck; the burning heat of his hand was almost scalding. He Sheng was not used to such warmth, nor did she like sitting on Fu Hanye’s lap. She braced herself on the sofa arm, trying to stand up.
“Don’t move.” Fu Hanye’s voice was tight, laced with danger. “Wasn’t it you who asked me for help? Or do you want to go out like this?”
He Sheng puffed her cheeks, twisted her neck slightly, and urged him to hurry.
A zipper took only a few seconds—what was he dragging his time for?
Sensing her dissatisfaction, Fu Hanye let out a low laugh. “Asking for help and you still have this attitude—little mute, you’re really arrogant.”
He Sheng rolled her eyes. Who exactly was arrogant here?
Fu Hanye pinched the small metal pull-tab and slowly pulled the zipper upward.
With a crisp click, the zipper reached the top. He Sheng sensed it immediately and was about to escape, but Fu Hanye hooked his arm around her waist.
“At least say thank you when I help you, right?” the man said lazily and wickedly. “Ah, right, I forgot—you can’t speak.”
Fu Hanye leaned closer, his warm breath brushing against her ear. “How about you kiss me instead?”
Harassment!
She was going to report him to the police—someone was harassing her here!
He Sheng was furious. If Fu Hanye had stayed obediently in Jing City, would she even need his help?
Whether it was because she was angry or because he was too close, her jade-like earlobe turned faint pink. Fu Hanye acted without hesitation and bit down on it.
Soft, cool, with a faint sweetness.
He Sheng’s heart jolted. What was this person doing? He did not even give a warning before attacking—absolutely despicable!
He Sheng pushed him away hard, covering her bitten ear as her eyes reddened with grievance.
Fu Hanye licked his lips. He was not satisfied yet.
If her earlobe tasted like this… then what about her cherry-like lips? Would they be even sweeter?
The thought arose instantly. Fu Hanye turned her around and leaned in to kiss her.
He Sheng had already anticipated this. She blocked him directly with her hand—and deliberately shoved her middle finger into his nostril.
The man’s expression changed instantly. He leaned back to avoid her hand, whose attack power was low but humiliation factor was extremely high.
He knew she would refuse, but sticking a finger in his nose was just too outrageous!
He Sheng even provoked him further, glaring at him with bright eyes full of accusation.
See that? You stinky dog. This is how it feels to be forced.
Taking the chance, He Sheng stood up, went to the bathroom, and carefully washed her hands before applying a fragrant hand cream.
Fu Hanye laughed in anger. Fine. Little mute, you’re really something.
During the day, they ate, drank, and played. Aside from a minor morning spat, Fu Hanye ignored her the entire time, leaving the visually impaired He Sheng to struggle on her own.
Fortunately, the hotel butler was observant and helped resolve most issues for her.
In the evening, Fu Hanye rented a jet ski and went out to ride the waves. From a distance, he saw He Sheng sitting on the balcony kicking her feet in the water. A malicious impulse rose in him. He accelerated sharply and then suddenly braked, sending up a huge splash like a wave that drenched He Sheng completely.
He Sheng: …I really say thank you.
Fu Hanye climbed up from another access stairway to the sea and said without any sincerity: “Oh, why are you here? I didn’t see you. Getting splashed by waves at the beach is normal.”
He Sheng turned her head away, showing him only the back of her head, then slowly pulled her feet back and stood up to walk inside.
She would settle the score later. Right now, she needed to take a shower first.
No matter how hostile they were during the day, at night they still tacitly shared the same bed.
He Sheng needed to replenish energy. Fu Hanye needed proper sleep. Since both had their own needs, they did not cause any trouble.
In the blink of an eye, ten days passed. Fu Hanye had finished filming enough material and had the hotel butler book their return flight back home.
Suddenly returning from warm Hawaii to cold Jing City, He Sheng was not used to it. When she got out of the car, she sneezed several silent times in a row.
Uncle Zhou quickly asked: “Miss He Sheng, did you catch a cold?”
He Sheng shook her head. She was fine—just ambushed by cold air.
Fu Hanye separated from her as soon as he arrived in Jing City. He had finally secured a major lipstick brand promotion, and both sides had agreed to meet today for detailed discussion. He went to finalize the deal.
After the promotion was settled, Fu Hanye had another problem.
The brand required him to submit three scripts for selection.
He could write a script for nothing. Every shoot he did was purely improvised.
But who could he get to write scripts for him?
He Sheng was not reliable. She still did not even know she had become an internet celebrity. As for Wang Hao and those lackeys, they were completely useless.
Fu Hanye sighed. If he had money now, he would just hire an advertising company to write the scripts and shoot the video at the same time.
The young master resigned himself and typed on the keyboard, carelessly producing three scripts.
Fortunately, the brand did not expect anything too sophisticated. They picked the most acceptable one and asked him to film and edit it for review before release.
Fu Hanye received the lipstick and gifts from the brand and, on a snowy day, took He Sheng to a pine forest outside Jing City.
He filmed with one hand while applying lipstick on her with the other.
Perhaps he did have some talent—he applied it decently well.
He Sheng was completely confused. What was Fu Hanye doing now? Dragging her out in freezing weather just to put lipstick on her?
He really had something wrong with him.
Exhausted, Fu Hanye edited the video and sent it to the brand. After approval, he uploaded it to his account.
At first, as usual, comments were all fangirling and “Miss He, so cute.“ but then someone posted:
“Am I the only one who thinks the hand applying lipstick is really nice-looking?”
The likes surged rapidly to the top, astonishingly fast.
Fu Hanye could not understand these people’s logic. He lifted his right hand to examine it and, without shame, thought:
—It really was quite good-looking. After all, it was a hand destined to sign billion-yuan contracts.
