From outside the door came Mo Zilou's childish voice. He kicked open the door of Peach Snow Courtyard, rushed into the room, and shouted furiously, "So you were the one who poisoned me!"

Bai Ruoshui's face panicked, and she quickly shot Hongling a look.

Hongling hurried to the door and saw that Mo Zilou had run to Peach Snow Courtyard all by himself. Secretly relieved, she returned to the room and said to him, "Young Heir, you misheard everything just now. It was that fool—she's framing the Cousin for poisoning you…"Full novel: The Prince Regent’s Cast-Off Consort — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"Who are you calling a fool!" Mo Zilou kicked Hongling hard in the leg, then glared at Bai Ruoshui. "I'm going to tell Father and expose your true face."

Mo Zilou had been awake for two days now.

He felt that since waking up, his body was no longer as weak and powerless as before—his spirits were much better too. He knew it was the medicinal liquid Chu Fengge had injected into his body taking effect.

That night, Chu Fengge hadn't been trying to kill him—she had been trying to save him. Yet she had been framed by villains, and even his father didn't believe what he said. He was deeply disappointed.

So, taking advantage of the moment Steward Wang went to fetch medicine, he had run to Peach Snow Courtyard to visit Chu Fengge—only to overhear the conversation between Chu Fengge and Bai Ruoshui and learn the truth about the sweet cakes.

He turned to run out of the courtyard, but Hongling slammed the door shut ahead of him, blocking his way.

Bai Ruoshui also grabbed Mo Zilou's arm, a vicious gleam in her eyes, and said impatiently, "You want to tattle? Not a chance."

With that, Bai Ruoshui raised her palm and swung it at Mo Zilou!

Seeing this, Chu Fengge ignored the searing pain in her body, sprang up from the bed, and rushed to Bai Ruoshui's side, swiftly seizing her raised wrist and twisting it hard.

Crack!

"Ah—" A scream burst from Bai Ruoshui.

She yanked her hand back and released Mo Zilou with the other, clutching her aching right hand as she stumbled back several steps.

That hand had already been injured, and Chu Fengge's move had nearly made her pass out from the pain.

Her face twisted in agony, and just as she was about to curse Chu Fengge, she glimpsed through the window Mo Qianhan and Steward Wang stepping into the courtyard.

A malicious scheme flashed through Bai Ruoshui's eyes. In the next instant, she threw herself against the tea table. The tea set on it crashed to the floor with a loud clatter.

The table itself toppled over from the force, and Bai Ruoshui lay right on the broken porcelain shards, crying out in pain, "Ah…"

Hongling glanced at the people entering the courtyard and cried out in coordinated performance, "Heavens! Princess Consort, how could you push the Cousin? She only wanted to bring you some medicinal ointment, yet you accused her of poisoning the Shizi in front of the Young Heir, and now you've even attacked her! There's no justice—no justice at all!"

The door burst open with a bang, kicked violently from outside.

Chu Fengge turned to look—Mo Qianhan, dressed in court attire, strode in from outside, his face dark with fury.

In an instant, Chu Fengge saw through Bai Ruoshui's scheme.

This woman's tea-serving act was truly masterful.

And men, of all things, fell for exactly that!

By the time Mo Qianhan entered the room, Hongling had already helped Bai Ruoshui to her feet.

Bai Ruoshui tilted slightly, the bloodstains on her back wound just barely visible.

Mo Qianhan clenched his fists, suppressing the urge to kill Chu Fengge, and demanded in a cold, furious voice, "Chu Fengge, what do you think you're doing?"

"What was I doing?" Chu Fengge glanced down at Mo Zilou. Surely his son had told Mo Qianhan that this white lotus was going to hit him—there was no way he would believe it.

Since he had already decided in his heart that she was the villain, then fine—she might as well play the villain to the very end!

"I can demonstrate for Your Highness again what I was just doing!"

With that, Chu Fengge delivered a spinning kick and sent Bai Ruoshui flying!

As she landed, Bai Ruoshui's entire back pressed down onto the porcelain shards—far more painful than when she had lain down on them herself!

Her scream was like the squealing of pigs at a slaughterhouse: "Ahh—"
