Feng Shuying was sleeping fitfully when she felt a hand reaching into her bodice.

Without even opening her eyes, she grabbed the hand and snapped it backward.

A blood-curdling scream followed, accompanied by a furious roar: “Feng Shuying, are you crazy?”Full novel: The Princess Consort Lacks Virtue — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Feng Shuying’s eyes flew open. She saw a handsome face, though it was somewhat sallow and pale from excessive debauchery.

Subconsciously, she glanced at his Minggong. It was pitch black—a physiognomy found only in those about to die.

A flood of memories surged into her mind. She tentatively called out, “Chen Yansheng?”

Chen Yansheng clutched his hand, which she had nearly broken, and said with a look of displeasure, “You’re insane! How dare you lay a hand on me?”

“Don’t forget, in a few days, you’re supposed to marry that sickly wretch, Chu Wang. You were the one who begged me to take you away and elope!”

Feng Shuying: “…”

His words matched the memories that had just entered her head, and they also perfectly aligned with the plot of a novel her cousin had been reading a few days ago.

Because the name of the villainous female supporting character in the novel was exactly the same as hers, her cousin had insisted on dragging her along to read a few chapters.

She hadn’t finished it because the plot was too melodramatic. Then, while out with her master to check some Feng Shui, she had been caught in a mudslide. When she woke up, she was right in the middle of the most cliché and distasteful scene in the entire book.

Because the original owner of this body had a special Mingge, her family was sending her to be Chu Wang’s primary consort for a Chongxi marriage. Not wanting to marry Chu Wang, she had sought out Chen Yansheng to elope.

Chen Yansheng was a scoundrel who lusted after her body and craved her money. He had convinced her to bring her silver to a meditation room in a Buddhist temple to spend a night with him before he would take her away.

The original owner was foolish enough to believe him and brought all her valuables with her.

However, after sleeping with her, Chen Yansheng planned to make off with her silver, bring a beggar into her room, and then her cousin would lead a crowd to catch them in the act…

These plot points were already melodramatic enough, but the most absurd part was that Chu Wang was right next door when it happened, listening to everything!

When she was “caught in bed,” Chu Wang, who was so ill he had only one breath left, would take a sword and pierce her straight through the heart…

Feng Shuying couldn’t help but shiver at the thought.

Don’t panic. She hadn’t been slept with by Chen Yansheng yet, and the “adultery” hadn’t been caught. She could still save her little life!

She tried to sit up, but nearly strangled herself. As she struggled, she realized her legs couldn’t move either.

She suddenly remembered that to satisfy Chen Yansheng’s perverted fetishes, the original owner had been coaxed into tying her own neck to the headboard with a rope and binding her legs to the foot of the bed.

Right now, except for her hands, she couldn’t move her head or feet.

Crap!

The original owner’s actions were absolutely insane!

Chen Yansheng’s hand reached toward her chest again. “You’d better be a good girl. Once I’ve had my fun, maybe I’ll still be willing to take you away.”

This time, without a second thought, Feng Shuying grabbed his hand and twisted it. “Elope my foot! This lady is going to marry Chu Wang!”

Chen Yansheng let out another scream and swung his other hand to slap her. “You little bitch, I gave you face and you threw it back at me!”

She caught his hand. With one hand broken, he used his foot to stomp on the rope tied to her neck. As the rope tightened, the sensation of suffocation washed over her.

Feng Shuying was forced to let go to pull at the rope around her neck. Chen Yansheng immediately reached out to tear at her clothes.

A cruel grin spread across his face. “I’ve never slept with a corpse before. Today, I’ll kill you first, then I’ll have my way with you!”

Feng Shuying: “…You sick freak!”

She raised her hand and slammed it hard against Chen Yansheng’s temple. His head buzzed, and he stumbled back several steps.

With a powerful surge, she snapped one of the ropes binding her legs. Her leg freed, she immediately kicked Chen Yansheng square in the face.

He was kicked back several more steps, and the rope around her neck slackened. She quickly untied it and landed a punch right on Chen Yansheng’s nose.

Chen Yansheng let go in pain. She rolled up her sleeves and pinned him under her foot. “You sick freak. If a tiger doesn’t show its strength, do you really take me for a sick cat?”

“Today, this lady will teach you how to be a human being!”

With that, she brought her foot down hard on Chen Yansheng’s chest, breaking several of his ribs.

Right at that moment, the door was suddenly burst open. Feng Shuying’s cousin, Lin Wanting, rushed in with a group of people.

As Lin Wanting charged in, she cried out, “Cousin, how could you do something so scandalous—”

She froze when she saw the scene inside the room.

Feng Shuying also snapped out of her anger. Remembering Chu Wang was next door, she realized she had to keep the act going.

The corners of her mouth twitched slightly, but she immediately put on a look of seeing a savior and cried out piteously, “Cousin, save me! Chen Yansheng tried to violate me!”

Lin Wanting: “…”

Today’s events had been orchestrated by her and Chen Yansheng.

She had assumed that given Feng Shuying’s temperament, she would certainly lose her virtue to Chen Yansheng today. But what was this scene in front of her?

She feigned a look of deep concern and asked, “Cousin, what happened to your clothes? Why are you in such a state?”

Feng Shuying felt that Lin Wanting was blind. She was holding a rope and nearly killed, yet Lin Wanting didn’t see that—she only saw her torn clothes.

Just as she was about to speak, Chen Yansheng clutched his chest and beat her to it: “What else could it be?”

“She wanted to escape the marriage! She seduced me and told me to take her away. After I agreed and met her here, she actually tried to kill me!”

He finished and grabbed Feng Shuying. “You shameless slut! You were already stripped bare in front of me, so why act like a chaste woman now?”

Lin Wanting sighed softly and said, “Cousin, even if you didn’t want to marry Chu Wang, you shouldn’t have done something so disgraceful!”

“Fornicating without a matchmaker… even if I am your cousin, I cannot protect you! Someone like you deserves to be put in a Jinzhulong.”

Feng Shuying sniffled and said, “From beginning to end, I have only ever had Chu Wang in my heart! I have never had anyone else!”

“In this life, I will marry no one but Chu Wang. It was Chen Yansheng who harbored wicked intentions!”

Chen Yansheng sneered. “Who are you trying to fool with those lies? Everyone knows Chu Wang is a sickly wretch. How could you possibly be willing to marry him!”

“This Prince is a sickly wretch? How is it that I didn’t know?” A gentle male voice drifted in as the closed door of the meditation room opposite was pushed open by a slender hand.
