Walking out of Alex's villa, Lynette stood outside watching the night sky, gradually filled with stars.
Everything from minutes ago seems like a dream.
When she recalled the eagerness with which she'd planned to surprise Alex, and the heartbreaking outcome that followed, Lynette found it incredibly laughable, her own foolishness.
So be it
Alex Hale could finally be with the person he loved.
In Florida City's December, the winter wind was chilling, gusting intermittently, and the coldness seeped into Lynette's clothing, making her frame seem struggling to move forward.
15 minutes later.
In the Tipsy Crescent Bar , suited at the heart of Florida Metropolitan.
On the left axis of the down floor, two beautiful ladies sat facing each other.
Lynette had been drinking all night since she arrived, celebrating her freedom, or so she believed.
“ You guys really broke up?” Lila Quinn looked at Lynette opposite her with a look of disbelief.
“ Mm” Lynette poured another shot of alcohol into her glass and downed it in one breath.
Lila shuddered at the sight of Lynette downing shot after shot, as though the alcohol were mere water, “ What happened?, I thought surprising him was the whole point?”
Lynette curled her lips in contempt before tilting her head back to down another shot.
She looked battered and drunk, yet a faint traced of awareness still lingered in her eyes.
“ I thought so too.”
“ But guess what? I was the one who got surprised instead.”
Tsk…
Lynette let out a bitter laugh.
“ That bastard was cheating on me…with Daniella Salmon – his ex.”
“ Ha– hiccup –hahahaha…” She hiccuped and then burst into a broken, drunken laugh.
After listening to Lynette account of the situation, Lila Quinn was infuriated.
She sprung up immediately and slammed her fist on the table,
“What!”
“ What is wrong with Alex Hale? that bastard! scumbag! Have he no shame?”
Lila Quinn was making such a big ruckus that she quickly downed a shot of beer just to cool her temper.
“ And that green tea b*tch, Daniella… she's truly a vixen.”
“ It's good you broke up with him. He's a scumbag and doesn't deserve you.”
“Honestly, you should have demanded more money from them. Six million AUR is too small for what they did to you ” Lila Quinn's chest ached from all the rage that was bottled up within her.
Those scumbags, they're simply inhumane and hateful
Lynette gazed at Lila Quinn who seemed even angrier than her. She smiled in relief.
She was thankful and lucky to have such a good friend like Lila Quinn.
“ Come –hiccup– come, let's celebrate my freedom. Don't get worked up… they're not worth it – those scumbags.”
“ Yes …yes, come –let's celebrate our singlehood. Today, we must drink ourselves into a stupor… hehehehe.” Lila Quinn forced a cheer, even though her heart ached for Lynette.

At the same time, in the Greenvale Countryside, a black BMW luxury car came to a stop at the entrance of a vast mansion. A strikingly handsome man stepped out. His looks were sharp, edged with elegance and charisma, while his deep, dark eyes slightly tinged with red, held a magnetic intensity that often went unnoticed.
His black hair was tousled with a careful recklessness, like a rebellious playboy.
Every movement made him a heartthrob in the eyes of any woman who looked his way.
He walked into the expansive mansion. The luxurious living hall was magnificent. Although it was huge and luxurious, it turned scary and creepy when night falls.
Under the huge chandelier, every movement and gesture of the man showed his inborn aristocracy as he sat on the luxurious sofa.
“ Young Master Adrian”
Maid Alice bowed in greetings. She was struggling to hide the blush that was creeping up her cheeks and the admiration shimmering in her eyes by lowering her head.
Alice knew it was a taboo to harbor romantic feelings for her superiors, especially since it was strictly forbidden under the mansion's employment rules. Yet her heart betrayed her everytime she saw him.
But Alice knew, it was nothing more than a wishful thinking on her part.
Even so, Alice couldn't help but blush shyly whenever Adrian visited.
Adrian Alarico was the quiet heartthrob of many female servants in the mansion, though they hid their feelings well.
No one dared to show even a hint of admirations.
The fear of punishment and losing a well paid job keep their emotions tightly restrained.
Alice could only admire him from afar with respect like a loyal fan.
“Mm” He answered, his voice cold and indifferent, “ Where is Butler Thomas?”
“ He is in the restricted area of the east wing , Young Master.” Alice answered in a respectful tone .
“ Should I inform him of your arrival, Young Master Adrian?” She asked softly, her posture straight and respectful.
“ No need… leave,” He murmured, his hand gesturing her away with quiet indifference.
“ Yes, Young Master.” With a small bow, Alice turned and returned to her duties.
Adrian stood up and walked towards the kitchen. Two refrigerators lined the right side of the kitchen. One held an assortment of premium beverages and other drinks, While the other refrigerator contained rows of transparent glass jug filled to the brim with red liquids, resembling aged red wine.
Adrian stretched out his hand and took one of the transparent glass jugs filled with red liquid from the second refrigerator.
He turned around and picked up a few crystal glass mugs from the side shelf.
Everything in the mansion was high-end and luxurious; even the drinking mugs were crafted from pure crystal.
Adrian drained the red liquid in one gulp, his thoughts drifting to the restricted area of the East Wing and the mysteries it concealed.
The Prophecy…
Tsk…
He let out a bitter chuckle, shaking his head as if to erase the thought from his mind.
Looking at his right hand and the expensive gold chain adorning it, Adrian smirked arrogantly. His thoughts were shrouded in mist, yet his gaze held a strange affection.
