Just when the netizens thought that six guests gathering together was already the limit, a single comment slowly drifted across the livestream.
【Um…… I saw Little Sister Zhiyan and Shen Aofu heading this way as well.】
Netizens: ?!
Many viewers who caught the news switched to Su Zhiyan’s livestream and immediately heard Shen Aofu’s worried voice.
“Zhiyan, are you sure you want to go to the haunted house?” Her tone was filled with concern for Su Zhiyan.
Su Zhiyan smiled at Shen Aofu. “Xiao Fu, don’t worry. My condition has improved a lot recently, and I really want to experience what a normal life feels like.”
Looking at the anticipation shining in Su Zhiyan’s eyes, Shen Aofu could not bring herself to say any words of refusal.
When the production team learned of Su Zhiyan’s decision to go to the haunted house, their heads nearly exploded. But considering that the Su family was the major sponsor behind the scenes, they ultimately gritted their teeth and agreed.
As a result of this incident, the production team decided to remove all highly stimulating games from the subsequent segments of the dating show.
Su Zhiyan and Shen Aofu entered through Entrance No. 1. Before they went in, the production team had already notified the doctors to stand by and cleared out all the frightening props at the entrance.
The eight guests were now each in different instances.
Su Zhiyan, Shen Aofu, and Bai Ye were in the campus haunted house instance.
Du Weihan was in the mental hospital instance.
Cheng Feiran and Jiang Guxue were in the chainsaw killer instance.
And Su Zhi and An Chenru were in the ghost bride instance.
The netizens excitedly rushed to the eight livestreams, planning a spur-of-the-moment haunted house adventure from the guests’ perspectives.
Su Zhi’s haters were different. They directly switched to the surveillance livestreams installed by the production team inside the haunted house, preparing to record Su Zhi’s ugly moments.
The time gap between the eight guests entering the haunted house was not large, so Su Zhiyan and Shen Aofu, who chose the same entrance as Bai Ye, soon ran into him.
When Su Zhiyan saw Bai Ye, surprise appeared on her face. “Brother Ye, I didn’t expect you to be in the haunted house too, and in the same instance as us. This is really such a coincidence.”
When Bai Ye saw Su Zhiyan, his expression softened considerably.
Among the four female guests, if one had to say who impressed him the most at first sight, that would undoubtedly be Su Zhi.
But if asked who he felt the most affection for, Bai Ye would not hesitate to say Su Zhiyan’s name.
From the very first moment he saw Su Zhiyan, Bai Ye could not help but be drawn to her.
After learning about her physical condition, he felt even more sympathy for her.
Especially when he saw Su Zhiyan give up forming a team for the sake of her friend. Bai Ye not only did not feel offended, but his fondness for her increased even more.
Bai Ye said gently to Su Zhiyan, “It really is a coincidence.”
As he spoke, his eyes— like they held starlight— reflected Su Zhiyan’s figure.
〖Ding! Current favorability level of target character: 30%. Please keep it up, Host!〗
Hearing Bai Ye’s favorability level, Su Zhiyan’s lips curved slightly upward.
Through years of calculating favorability values, she knew that when favorability reached 60%, fondness would transform into love; when favorability reached 80%, the target would fulfill all unreasonable demands; and when favorability reached 100%, the target would become obsessed, willing to trample morality and law for her.
What Su Zhiyan needed to do now, aside from eliminating Su Zhi in the dating show, was to use the system to win over the remaining three men besides An Chenru.
……
The viewers watching the livestream had no idea of Su Zhiyan’s thoughts. At this moment, they were fully immersed in the ambiguous atmosphere between Su Zhiyan and Bai Ye.
【Wow, I’m shipping this! I’m shipping this! This pair finally makes me feel like I’m watching a dating show. Before this, I seriously wondered if I’d come to the wrong channel!】
【It really is true. This CP looks so visually compatible. Bai Ye is such a gentleman, especially with those gold-rimmed glasses. He’s insanely handsome!】
【Everyone, hurry up and ship this with me. I really never imagined that the first CP I’d ship would be inside a haunted house!】
……
Completely different from Su Zhiyan’s pink-bubble-filled livestream, Du Weihan’s stream next door presented an entirely different style.
Fans watched Du Weihan with terror in his eyes, sprinting with all his strength while screaming from time to time, and fell into collective silence.
Especially when they remembered that just five minutes earlier, Du Weihan had confidently declared that Su Zhi would definitely cry as she ran out of the haunted house.
Whether Su Zhi would cry, the fans did not know. But Du Weihan looked like he was about to cry himself.
Feeling awkward, the fans could not help but shift the topic in the livestream.
【Ahem, um, do you guys know there’s a secret passage in this haunted house that leads to other instances?】
【What the hell? Where is it? How did I not know about that?!】
【Don’t even mention it. It’s insanely hidden. I was in the first instance before and searched for almost an hour and a half. I only found it after dismantling a blackboard……】
【Damn, hiding a secret passage inside a blackboard? Did the designer actually want people to find it?!】
Just as the fans were still complaining about how hidden the secret passage was, the production team’s broadcast suddenly echoed through all livestreams.
“Guests Su Zhi and An Chenru have triggered the ghost bride’s hatred. Battle Royale mode is now activated. If guests are caught by NPCs, all Heartbeat Coins will be cleared!”
At this moment, both the viewers watching the livestreams and the guests inside the haunted house were shocked.
Many netizens immediately switched to Su Zhi’s livestream to see what was going on.
What they saw next was Su Zhi and An Chenru sprinting through a blood-red corridor.
A large number of NPCs were chasing after them. The NPCs’ faces were painted with terrifying makeup, and paired with the horrifying BGM, it made many viewers’ hearts race.
【Holy crap! What did Su Zhi and An Chenru even do?! How unlucky do you have to be to trigger the ghost bride’s hatred? This is the fourth instance! How will they be able to solve this?!】
【Hahaha, serves her right! That’s why you shouldn’t get too smug. Pride invites disaster!】
【Pulling up a little stool and sitting here to watch Su Zhi get caught. Hehehe, last place in Heartbeat Coins will definitely be Su Zhi, no doubt about it!】
【The NPCs are almost here, the NPCs are almost here, look! Su Zhi is about to get caught!】
Just as the haters were grinning ear to ear, starting to celebrate Su Zhi taking last place, their smiles froze the very next second.
Because they saw Su Zhi nimbly dodge the NPCs’ pursuit, dash into the ghost groom’s room, and lock the door from the inside!
The haters were momentarily stunned by Su Zhi’s unexpected move. But after reacting, they began mocking her.
【Hehehe, you think locking the door means you can escape the NPCs? Impossible, okay! The ghost bride has the keys to every room. Trust me, within a minute, that door will 100% be opened!】
Reality indeed unfolded exactly as the haters said. After realizing Su Zhi had locked the door, the ghost bride NPC immediately used the keys on her body to open it.
Watching the ghost bride open the door, the haters started celebrating again in the livestream.
【Hahahaha, what an overestimation of oneself. Stop struggling already and wait for your Heartbeat Coins to be cleared!】
【Hey, the door’s open! I’ll count to three. Su Zhi will definitely be eliminated. One……】
But before the hater could type out ‘two’, she froze on the spot.
Because after the door opened, the room inside was completely empty!
Wait, where did Su Zhi go?! Where did she and An Chenru, two living people, disappear to?!
At that moment, a comment slowly drifted by.
【Su Zhi found the secret passage and took An Chenru to Du Weihan’s instance.】
