Chatter filled the classroom. Rian Sinclair walked in, carrying the things she bought. She met Ash Sinclair’s gaze; the moment their eyes locked, Ash immediately sat up straight and focused on his test paper.
The boy sitting next to Ash greeted Rian.
[Ding! High-quality handsome man detected. Appearance rated at 90. Qualifies for the ten-times spending cashback!]
Rian raised an eyebrow. She hadn’t expected this kid, Miles Morton, to have such a high appearance score. It perfectly echoed the system’s previous words.
Handsome guys really did flock together.
Rian nodded in response and took a seat. Beside her, Old Landon could finally focus on grading the papers again. Earlier, the constant barrage of questions had completely killed his desire to grade.
When explaining the problems to them, Rian also tried her best to teach using the simplest methods.
Twenty minutes passed in a flash.
The bell for the end of evening self-study rang out, and the initially quiet floor instantly became clamorous.
Rian said her goodbyes to Old Landon, then walked toward Ash and tossed the items in her hands to him.
Miles Morton looked at the Granny Fleur bags, then turned to Ash. "Bro, are you being kept by a sugar mommy? Hermes bags, a Vacheron Constantin watch—this is obnoxiously rich!"
Ash flicked Miles hard on the forehead. "You dog, why are you blurting out the truth?" He slung an arm over Miles’s shoulder and jutted his chin toward his sister. "See that, bro? My sister is my sugar mommy. You’ve sure got a sharp pair of eyes!"
Miles turned around and looked at the Ferrari key in Rian’s hand, taking in her head-to-toe luxury brands. He instantly understood. Looking at Ash with a bitter expression, he asked, "Bro, does our sister need another younger brother?"
Hearing this, Ash immediately put Miles in a Throat Lock. "Get lost, this is my sister! Go home and ask your parents to make you one!"
Right after Ash finished speaking, he clutched his butt and jumped up. Rian glared at him. "You brat, is this what you learn at school? Watch your language."
Ash aggrievedly rubbed his kicked butt while Miles tried his hardest to stifle his laughter. Seeing his bro act like this, Miles really wanted to beat him up, but Rian was standing right there.
Ash quickly assessed the situation and smiled flatteringly. "Sister~ I was just joking earlier. Miles and I are great bros."
Rian couldn’t be bothered to watch his performance. "I’ve delivered your things, so I’m leaving. Be a good boy and focus on your classes at school. If the school calls me again, I’ll skin you alive."
Ash looked at his sister’s dangerously "gentle" smile and felt a chill run down his spine. "Then Old Man Morton and I will walk you out, sis."
Rian didn’t reject her younger brother’s offer. She lectured him on the way out. When the topic of living expenses came up, she stated outright that she wouldn’t give him any more money for the next half month. If he needed funds for other specific things, he could let her know.
Ash nodded. Even if his sister hadn’t brought it up, he would have mentioned it himself. After all, there was only a little over half a month left, and she had given him a full month’s allowance, so it would definitely be enough. Even if his sister didn’t provide for him, he could figure out ways to earn his own living expenses.
The two boys stopped at the school gate. Since they were still wearing their school uniforms, they weren’t allowed to leave the campus. Rian canceled her visitor registration, waved goodbye to the two kids, and walked toward her supercar parked not far away.
The two of them didn’t leave immediately, standing at the gate to watch Rian go. "Old Man Morton, I didn’t lie to you, did I? I told you my sister bought a LaFerrari and you didn’t believe me!"
"I mean, Old Man Sinclair, with that smug look on your face, I would’ve thought the car was yours." Miles was truly left speechless by Ash’s cocky expression.
But Ash felt differently. This was a prime moment to show off. Wasn’t it incredibly satisfying to flex in front of his ’good son’? So what if it wasn’t his? It was his sister’s! His biological sister at that! Wasn’t that worth being smug about? Of course it was!
Rian, unaware of the boys’ antics behind her, started the car and drove toward home.
The night scenery of Argent was beautiful, yet bustling. The gentle night breeze swept away the summer heat and soothed away any restless emotions. But this traffic was just way too congested!
Rian was extremely bored, her fingers tapping lightly on the steering wheel. She really had no idea how the roads could be this backed up so late at night. The gridlock suggested there had probably been a car accident up ahead. Even with the car windows rolled up, the clamor from outside still managed to reach Rian’s ears.

Bored out of her mind waiting in the car, Rian suddenly heard the system’s announcements. For a moment, she had no idea who Targets No. 2 and No. 3 were. After thinking for a bit, she figured they must be Miro and Miles Morton.
She had no idea what was going through those two guys’ heads for their affection values to inexplicably increase. Calling out to the system in her mind, she opened her personal status panel.

Rian looked at her panel, pressing the tip of her tongue against the roof of her mouth. These attribute points were really not enough! She decided to throw around some more money when she got back tonight, bring in some fresh men, and max out all her stats as early as possible.
Thirty points to charm value, five points to strength, and the rest to spirit.
[Ding! Allocation successful!]
Strength: [55 -> 60] charm value: [30 -> 60] Spirit: [64 -> 67]
After allocating the attribute points, Rian turned her attention back to the road. Seeing the severity of the traffic jam, she figured she would be stuck here for at least two hours, so she decided to change routes.
Slowly exiting the main road, Rian drove onto a secondary road. She was using Crappy Maps for navigation. Looking at its route guidance, Rian didn’t even harbor a single doubt about whether this road was actually passable.
But when she saw the woods right in front of her, she fell silent. She checked the navigation again. It really was Crappy Maps!
The surroundings weren’t exactly spooky, as there were still a few small shops open, but when this crappy navigation tried to lead her straight into the woods, Rian gave up. Just as she was about to reverse the car, she slammed on the brakes when she spotted a little white fluffball on the backup camera screen.
...
The car sped quickly down the road.
As Rian drove, the occasional sound of whimpering came from the passenger seat.
Taking advantage of a red light, Rian finally shifted her gaze to the little white fluffball.
It was a puppy.
Rian massaged her temples. Initially, she had thought it was someone’s pet that had accidentally run out, but after asking around, no one claimed it was theirs. Seeing that the puppy was only about a month old, she couldn’t bear to just leave it there, so she brought it into the passenger seat.
She glanced at the puppy before turning back to continue driving.
"Sigh~ I really am such a great person!" she thought.
The car came to a halt.
Rian carried the dog into a pet hospital. Since she had picked it up, it was only natural that she’d keep it.
After a series of checkups, it turned out the little guy was quite healthy, albeit slightly malnourished. What surprised Rian, however, was that this was actually a bear-type Samoyed with a fairly pure bloodline. Logically speaking, it shouldn’t have been abandoned.
But Rian couldn’t be bothered to figure out the reason. After having the little guy bathed at the pet hospital and buying a pile of puppy toys, milk, a dog bed, and dog food, she headed for home.
Sitting on the sofa, Rian watched the little guy sniff around everywhere. It would walk for a bit, then plop its entire body onto the floor. Even when there was an obstacle right in front of it, it wouldn’t dodge, but instead just crash straight into it, making Rian watch with a racing heart.
She picked the little guy up, cradling it in her arms and making eye contact. "Little guy, I’m your Mommy Mia~"
The little guy let out a soft whine. Finding it absolutely adorable, Rian said, "You’re so cute. How about I call you Bandage?"
Who knew if the little guy understood her or not, but it let out an enthusiastic barrage of YIP YIP YIPs, nuzzling up against Rian and trying to lick her.
And just like that, a new little family member named Bandage had arrived in their home.
