Lina.

Somehow, everything had become worse since after I marked her.

I was actually going insane.Full novel: The rejected Luna returns — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

At first I thought I was just bitter because she had rejected and disgraced me, but it had to be more than that.

Because why else couldn’t I bear knowing someone else had marked her.

Why couldn’t I get her out of my head for even a moment.

I could think of only one solution.

Maybe this insanity could be tamed if she was near me.

I couldn’t bear the thought of her choosing someone else over me, but I also hated her too much to admit how much I wanted her to be mine.

The door to my room was forced open, and Brielle rushed over to me, her face burning with rage.

She slapped me, hard, forcing my face to the left.

“You thought I wouldn’t know?” She barked.

“You thought I wouldn’t sense that you marked another?

You pathetic cheater.” I turned to face her, a small smirk playing on my lips.

“You don’t have to act to feisty.

You know you’re the only one I want.” I wrapped my hands around her waist, pulling her closer.

“I just wanted to teach her a lesson for what she did.” I added.

Brielle’s eyes burned with fury.

For a moment, I thought she would slap me again.

But instead, both her hands slammed against my chest, shoving me back.

I stumbled a step, more surprised than hurt.

“Teach her a lesson?” she repeated, her voice shaking.

“By marking her?” A bitter laugh escaped her lips.

“Do you even hear yourself, Kain?” My jaw tightened.

The sting from her earlier slap still lingered, mixing unpleasantly with my rising irritation.

“You’re overreacting.” Her expression darkened.

“I’m overreacting?” she snapped, stepping closer.

“You marked another woman and I’m supposed to pretend that means nothing?” I scoffed, a smirk forming on my face.

“Look woman, you seem to have forgotten your place.

Have you forgotten how we got together in the first place?

Or should I refresh your memory?” I asked, my expression cold as I closed the distance between us.

I reached for her jaw, gripping it between my finger as I forced her face to look up at me.

Her rage melted instantly, her expression softening.

“You used a potion on me, and thanks to your fucking damn luck, it worked.

You thought I wouldn’t know?” “K–kain, you…” She breathed out, her eyes widening as she tired to back away.

“I knew right from the moment you approached me.

But I saw potential in you, of becoming my Luna.” I muttered deeply.

” Tell me, where did you get a dark witch to craft such potion for you?

I wonder, who exactly are you?” Her body stiffened, and I caught a flash of fear in her eyes.

She took a shaky step back, raising her hands like she expected me to strike.

“You… you tricked me,” she said, her voice trembling.

“Everything between us… it wasn’t real?” I let out a short, bitter laugh.

“Real?” I said, stepping closer, closing the space between us again.

“You thought the feelings a potion made me feel for you were real?

You’ve got a wild imagination.” I closed the distance between us again, trapping her against the wall.

“Lemme make this clear…

I’ve chosen you as my Luna, but I don’t give you the right to question my decisions.

Don’t let the act get in your head, know your place.” I could see the tears forming in her vision as she gave a reluctant nod.

“Yes, I’m sorry.” She muttered.

I pulled away, a smile forming on my lips, a contrast to my previous expression.

“Now now, you don’t have to apologize.” I muttered, leaning to kiss her.

“You’re still mine,” She forced a smile, wrapping her hands around my neck.

I could sense she was still afraid from how I acted just now.

I may have over done it.

I lifted her into my arms, carrying her towards the bed and laying her gently, my body hovering above her.

“You… you’re not going to hurt me, right?” she asked, her voice shaky.

I smirked.

“Do I look like someone who hurts his Luna?” I said, my voice calmer now, but still firm.

“Relax my love, I didn’t mean to scare you.” My gazed moved down to her rosy lips, which were parted slightly.

My thumb caressed her lower lip, and she sucked in a breath.

She smiled quietly, gripping my shirt and pulling me closer, making the first move.

I loved how forward she was.

Her tongue slid into my mouth as she tongue kissed me, moaning against my lips.

“I’ve missed this.” She whispered, wrapping her legs around my waist, wanting to feel my hard bulge between her legs.

I grounded against her with intentional rhythm, her breath catching from the sensation.

“I’m already hard for you.” I groaned, snuggling against her neck and planting soft kisses.

Brielle’s fingers dug into my shirt, pulling me even nearer.

“Kain… don’t scare me like that again,” she whispered, her voice trembling from awakening pleasure.

I growled quietly, “I won’t.” Just when things between us was starting to get heated, a knock interrupted, breaking the moment.

I pulled away reluctantly, sitting up and buttoning up my shirt which was already half undone.

Brielle also sat up, adjusting her gown to cover up her exposed boobs and ass.

I turned to her and quietly said, “I’ll be right back.” Then stood up to leave.

Outside, a servant stood with his head bowed.

“What’s the problem?” I asked flatly, my expression unimpressed, a bit pissed about the interrupted intimacy.

“It’s about miss Lina..she,” the servant paused, hesitating.

My expression darkened upon hearing her name, my heart made an unexpected flip.

“She what?” I asked impatiently.

“She moved to Alpha Louis’ quarters instead.”
