Perhaps it was because too many things happened the night before and her emotions had fluctuated too much, but her biological clock, which was always punctual, failed to wake her up.

When she opened her eyes, it was already nearly eight o'clock. Wen Wanning quickly did her hair and makeup and went downstairs, only to find that everyone had already arrived and was sitting in a circle around the dining table.

She put on her microphone and sat down, hearing Teacher Jiang Yun chatting nearby, "I don't know if it's my menopause causing hallucinations or what, but my room is by the terrace, and I keep feeling like there are footsteps outside."Full novel: The Restless Spring Mountain — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"Did any of you others staying on the second floor hear anything?"

Qiao Li had been feeling groggy, but upon hearing this, she widened her eyes completely, "No, Teacher Jiang, don't scare me..."

"I heard it several times. A moment later, I would go over to check, and I even specially opened the door to look."

Wen Wanning choked on a mouthful of coffee, coughing for a long time, her face and ears turning bright red.

Wei Yinghuai apologized with a bow toward them and quickly raised his hand to claim responsibility, "My fault, my fault!"

"I usually like to post street photography on Weibo. Since I'm out recording the show these past two days, some fans asked when I would update, so I impulsively changed my clothes and went out."

"I realized halfway that I hadn't installed the battery, so I came back. Sorry about that."

"…As long as it was a person," Qi Jiujiu said, patting her chest, "I don't really get it. What could you possibly photograph going out in the middle of the night? A beautiful older sister who came for a vacation?"

"The old town area has quite a vibe at night," Wei Yinghuai picked up a piece of bread and lowered his head to take a bite, looking quite shy, "I actually did photograph a beautiful older sister, but just as I raised my camera, she happened to be making out with her boyfriend, so I was scared and ran away immediately."

Qiao Li found it funny, "They were the ones kissing, not you. Why did you run?"

Wei Yinghuai gestured with his hands, "Hey, no, you guys don't understand the scene."

"The older sister's boyfriend seemed to be a high school student. He might have noticed me, and with a very possessive attitude, he covered both of them with his school uniform shirt and started kissing her fiercely."

"I heard that high school boys around here are very intense. I saw his back was so tall, and I was afraid he would beat me up."

Everyone burst into laughter.

Wen Wanning had been listening with her heart in her throat for a long time. After confirming repeatedly that no one realized it was her, she breathed a small sigh of relief and tried to join the discussion as naturally as possible, "How did you know she was an older sister?"

She had tried so hard to project a youthful vibe yesterday, yet it was still that obvious?

Female celebrities are particularly sensitive about their age. In just a few minutes, she had already thought about what medical beauty procedures she would get upon returning to Shen Cheng.

"Ah?" Wei Yinghuai was stunned for a moment before explaining somewhat bashfully, "Well, it's just that she was too beautiful. I didn't see her face, though. She was that kind of big sister type—"

"Don't post that photo."

Ling Ye had been sitting leaning to the side the whole time. He spoke out of the blue, and Wei Yinghuai didn't even react, "What?"

"The one where you photographed the older sister, don't post it on Weibo," Ling Ye looked at him deeply, "The high school boy is still a minor. The protection laws here are quite strict, and it would be very troublesome if you get sued."

Even though his tone was one of well-meaning advice, Wei Yinghuai was inexplicably stunned for a moment and said sheepishly, "I was just saying it casually."

Today's itinerary was for charity and was relatively relaxed.

The local tourism bureau sent a tour guide to take all the guests to an elephant sanctuary to experience making paper from elephant dung and to bathe and feed the elephants.

It was a rare moment of leisure after working, and everyone had a great time. Even the initial game of matching elephant names caused quite a few jokes.

The good memory of a veteran actor was on full display; Wen Wanning and Jiang Yun joined forces and were almost invincible.

The headshots in the director's hands kept switching. After Wen Wanning said the name of the fifth baby elephant, Qiao Li was dumbfounded, "Is there any difference? Even their own mothers often recognize them wrong by smell. Can you tell them apart just by looking at their faces?"

Wei Yinghuai stood to the side, struggling to learn Thai from the tour guide, and quickly chimed in, "Is there any difference between the big diamonds Sister Qiao is wearing today and the ones from yesterday?"

Qi Jiujiu thought for two seconds, "Expensive and more expensive, I guess."

Qiao Li: "..."

People are controllable, but small animals are free-spirited by nature, especially baby elephants that haven't been born long, which are so lively that unexpected situations occur frequently.

Coupled with the gibbon protection project in the afternoon, the production crew successfully gathered a large amount of material for editing.

On the way back, the director team announced the upcoming arrangements.

"To make this journey more interesting, a flying guest will be joining everyone in the next few days!"

"The new team member has come from afar. To show the program group's hospitality, we have sent Ling Ye as a representative to pick him up personally. We will keep his identity information confidential for now; you will be able to see him once he arrives at the destination."

Meanwhile, in the old town area of Phuket.

Jose was carrying a huge mountaineering backpack and holding a coconut he had just bought. He stared at Ling Ye in front of him in disbelief, "Brother, you said you were driving to pick me up, and you meant this little thing?"

It was a fluorescent pink paint job with a baby sidecar on the left—the kind of sidecar motorcycle that had been quite popular online recently... usually used for taking dogs out.

Ling Ye propped one straight, long leg against the roadside, held the handlebars with his left hand, and fished a matching helmet out of the sidecar with his right, tossing it to him, "The program group helped rent it. If you don't want to go, forget it."

Jose looked at him several times, wanting to say something but holding back. He reached up to smooth his brown curly hair and buckled the helmet on.

He was used to wearing full-coverage heavy helmets while racing, so he wasn't very accustomed to this light, women's-style motorcycle helmet. Fortunately, his head was small, so he could barely squeeze into it.

The baby sidecar was only so big. Jose crouched inside tightly, holding his luggage and the coconut stacked above his head. He swayed as the vehicle started, "Do you know that I promised the team leader I would start a live broadcast as soon as I got off the airplane?"

Ling Ye glanced at him nonchalantly, "Then go ahead and start it."

"It's embarrassing," Jose couldn't even be bothered to deal with him, his mixed-race blue eyes full of accusation, "In the middle of a perfectly good off-season, other teams are buying airplanes, yachts, skiing, and playing golf with beauties, and here we are at Mercedes-Benz riding a tricycle."

Both of them were handsome guys with height and small faces. Riding this cute-style motorcycle, they attracted a high rate of attention.

Jose winked at a few girls passing by, turned his head, and continued to say to him, "I saw the hot search yesterday. Brother, you were selling smiles and showing skin on the street. Hey, what exactly are you thinking? Didn't you say you didn't like people staring at you and only wanted to race well and break records?"

"After so much training, I even wanted to run the simulator in my sleep, and it turns out it was all just to travel across the ocean to come back and be a 'male bodhisattva'."
