After discussing, it was agreed that Faker and Kariette should not enter the club, especially Kariette, because both were well-known in the shadow society.

Moreover, Kariette was a target of that faction.Full novel: The Return of Asura Who Suddenly Becomes a Father — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

So, Gavin was the only one who could undertake this task.

Gavin selected a pipe and a fist-sized rock to store in his alternate dimensional magic.

After adjusting his clothes, he walked in, and of course, there were two men blocking the entrance.

“Sir, we’ve never seen you before.

Are you from out of town?”

“Yes, I’m from Chiang City,” Gavin replied honestly.

“Oh, a guest from Chiang City visiting our humble club, what an honor.”

“I heard from someone that this club has interesting drinks.

Being a connoisseur myself, I wanted to try some exquisite liquor.”

“You’ve come to the right place!

Our club offers a variety of drinks, both domestic and imported.

If it’s not too intrusive, may we know who recommended our club to you?”

“His name is Theory.

I met him at a roadside bar where we hit it off well, so he suggested I come here.”

“I see!

Theory is a regular here.

But before you enter, would it be a problem if we search you?”

“Go ahead,” Gavin raised his arms for the search.

They even checked his wallet, but Gavin wasn’t worried about them finding anything suspicious since he had everything stored in his alternate dimensional magic.

Not even a grand sorcerer could detect what he had brought.

As for the man named Theory, he was adept at erasing magical traces.

The person using thunder magic to short-circuit was named Tony.

Gavin entered the club as if he was just another visitor.

The club belonged to the Venomous Cobras gang.

If they were hosting a celebration, it would likely be in a private room.

He surveyed the club for escape routes before flagging down a waiter.

“Young man, do you have a moment?”

“May I assist you with anything?”

“I’m here on business with Boss Joe.

Has he arrived yet?”

“Boss Joe is engaged elsewhere tonight, sir.

We only have Vice Boss Cisco here.

May I know your name?”

“I’m Jony.”

“Mr.

Jony, did you have an appointment with Boss Joe?” The waiter was curious.

“No, I heard Boss Joe would be here with some fine drinks, so I traveled from Chiang City.”

“I see.

Would you like to order a drink, sir?”

“Bring me a bottle of Absolut.”

“Right away, sir.” The waiter nodded and walked away.

Meanwhile, Gavin immediately texted on his phone.

Ashura: Ice Witch, get me the birthdates of the boss and the vice boss and send them to me.

Ding!

Ice Witch: Boss 11/3/87, Vice Boss 29/9/91.

Kariette replied quickly, seemingly in tune with his needs, extracting information from the two men before he even asked.

Gavin smiled slightly and concentrated.

‘Clairvoyance’ – Gavin’s garnet eyes emitted a faint glow.

In his vision, myriad stars shone brightly, as if he was peering into the universe’s possible courses, with these stars representing the fates of all beings on Earth.

‘Boss Joe, real name Henry Joe, born on a Wednesday, March 11, 1987.

Vice Boss Cisco, real name Cisco Keith, born on a Sunday, September 29, 1991.’ Gavin snapped his fingers, and among the countless stars, two shone unusually bright.

The star of Boss Joe was neither too small nor too large, but it was surrounded by several satellite stars, three of which were prominent.

Two out of these three had been damaged and were gradually distancing from their central star.

If Gavin’s observation was correct, those two stars represented Theory and Tony, whom they had just disciplined.

This was the art of foresight, the practice of clairvoyance and astrological prediction.

It allowed the user to glimpse the destinies of individuals, though finding the fates of a few people among billions of stars was exceedingly challenging.

Birthdates were essential for this search, and he found them.

Gavin combined the club’s location with the astrological fates of Vice Boss Cisco, then held three dodecahedron dice, not ordinary but with numbers from zero to nine.

When he rolled them, they showed:

609

Gavin looked towards room number 609, presumably where Vice Boss Cisco was reveling.

Since Boss Joe wasn’t present, he had to extract Cisco.

Approaching room 609, Gavin encountered resistance.

“Sorry, sir, this room is not open to outsiders.”

“I have business with Vice Boss Cisco.”

“Do you have an invitation?”

“No.” Gavin’s reply made the guards scrutinize him.

“I’m an old friend of Vice Boss Cisco.”

“…”

“…”

An old friend?

But given the age difference, it seemed plausible.

Vice Boss Cisco was about twenty-nine, while the man in front of them appeared to be only twenty-five to twenty-six.

“Tell Vice Boss Cisco that my name is Jony from Kokka District, a student from Kokka High School, class 39.”

“Uh…”

The two guards exchanged looks, pondering if it could be true.

One decided to report inside before returning with a blank expression.

“Please, come inside,” the guard allowed Gavin.

Nodding satisfactorily, Gavin entered and found many men in their late twenties to mid-thirties, surrounded by attractive women.

In the center, a rather ordinary-looking twenty-nine-year-old man watched Gavin with suspicion.

Gavin smiled naturally at everyone and focused on Cisco.

“Brother Cisco!

It’s me, Jony.

Do you remember me?”

“I don’t have a friend named Jony.”

“Come on!

Has Brother Cisco forgotten me already?

No surprise, though.

I was the younger brother of one of your friends.

He took me to your house twice, near Grandma Bie’s grocery shop, just before the curve leading to the district office.

Opposite your house was a game shop.

You tried to court a girl in our class but got rejected.

Two months later, you shifted your attention to a senior.

You weren’t rejected this time, but later you found out she had a boyfriend.

You ended up getting beaten up by her boyfriend, and then you organized a group to fight back, sending him to the hospital.

After that, the police-”

“Enough!

I believe you.

I apologize for not remembering you,” Vice Boss Cisco exclaimed, utterly shocked that this stranger could divulge his youthful escapades as if he had witnessed them firsthand.

Even his gang members had never heard these dark tales from the past, yet this man knew them!

“Jony, I’m glad to see you again,” Vice Boss Cisco released the arms of the two women and shook hands with Gavin.

He was unsure of the stranger’s origins but decided to play along for now.

“What brings you here?”

“Oh, I was in Chiang for business, and my brother suggested I drop by to see you.

I also heard from someone that the drinks here are excellent, so I took the opportunity to visit while I was free.”

“That’s great!

Everyone, a toast to my old friend.”

“Cheers!”

“To the Vice Boss’s old friend!”

Everyone raised their glasses, and Gavin smoothly reciprocated the gesture and began to drink.

“May I know your brother’s name?”

“My brother’s name is Joey.

I hope you remember him.”

“Joey?

Oh!!

Now I remember.

Joey indeed.” Vice Boss Cisco was stunned for a moment.

He finally remembered.

Joey had a younger brother, but he didn’t recall his face or name since he and Joey weren’t that close.

But at least he was more than halfway convinced that this man indeed knew him.

“What business do you have, young brother?

Although I’m not a big shot, I might be able to help.” Vice Boss Cisco increases the level of intimacy.

“That’s actually why I came to see you, Brother Cisco.”

“Oh!” Cisco was already suspicious; no one made such a trip without expecting something.

He was eager to find out what the young man wanted his help with.

“It’s like this.

I had a little issue with someone, but it turns out his family is influential.

I was hoping you could teach him a lesson for me.

Of course!

I wouldn’t expect you guys to do this for free.

I have compensation for your time.”

“Speak up!

Who are they?”

“The guy’s name is Kurt Coford.

I had a minor conflict with him, and now I feel uneasy moving around in Chiang.”

“Coford!

Ha, just Coford.

What’s there to fear?”

“Brother Cisco…

if I’m not mistaken, Kurt is the younger brother of the Ice Witch.”

“The Ice Witch?

Are you in the shadow society too?”

“Yes,” Gavin nodded, causing Vice Boss Cisco to be slightly surprised but understanding.

Even a country bumpkin like him had a chance to know the shadow society; it made sense to welcome someone from his hometown reaching the same point!

“Don’t worry!

I’ll take care of him myself.

Both the brother and the sister.”

“Hmm…

I’ve heard that the Ice Witch has a daughter very dear to her.

Kidnapping the daughter would make that guy cry like a whipped dog for sure.”

“Kidnap?

Oh, easy.

But we need some time.”

“You’re seriously taking this job?

You know it’ll mean trouble with the Ice Witch, right?”

“Just the Ice Witch.

She isn’t as powerful as the rumors suggest.

Let me tell you, today I sent two guys to mess with the Ice Witch herself.

If I dared to mess with her once, doing it again is nothing.

Just a small kid.

That’s all I ask for, a fair price for townsmen.” Vice Boss Cisco spread his five fingers apart.

“Fifty thousand?”

“Five hundred thousand.”

“Oh…” Gavin smiled, but it wasn’t the warm smile from before but a cold one.

Suddenly there was a loud thwack, and Vice Boss Cisco collapsed to the floor.

Everyone in the room stood up in alarm, noticing the lead pipe in the guest’s hand.

“You scum!

You dare to kidnap my daughter?” Gavin snarled, swinging the pipe at the back of Vice Boss Cisco’s head again.

“Aaah!!”

“An intruder!

Seize him!”

“What are you doing?

Help the Vice Boss out!”

As each person rushed towards Gavin hoping to capture him, they found themselves overpowered and knocked to the ground or against the walls.

The young man’s strength was beyond their comprehension, surpassing even that of an Olympic athlete!

“You all are filthier than a public toilet seat.

Seeing dog feces brings me more comfort than your faces.

Daring to mess with my woman wasn’t enough; you even dared to kidnap my daughter.

If I don’t teach your gang a lesson, don’t call me big brother.”
