After much coaxing, Chi Wenqiu finally drank a few sips of the warm chicken soup. Qu Jing’s hands immediately moved to his waist again, restless. “Now that you’ve eaten, let’s continue. You still have plenty of energy.”
“What?” Chi Wenqiu looked at him in shock.
Does this brat not know the meaning of moderation? Does he really intend to drain me dry?
Chi Wenqiu wasn’t driven by lust, and usually, Qu Jing wasn’t either. But for a young man who had just tasted forbidden fruit, falling this deep was abnormal.
Chi Wenqiu tried to reason with him: “Regardless of whether you like me or not, you can’t just do this recklessly. Do you think your body is made of iron and can take any abuse? Even if you can, I can’t.”
Qu Jing held him close, inhaling his cool scent deeply. “I’m not Qu Sinian with one foot in the grave. I can satisfy you. Even if I don’t have experience, I have energy. I feel like you weren’t particularly satisfied with me. It is okay, I learn fast. Give me another chance!”
“I’ll tell you the truth: I don’t like sex. In fact, I find it a bit repulsive. If I hadn’t been angry last night, I would have used a different outlet rather than letting you truly reach adulthood.”
Qu Jing seemed dazed, not quite understanding. “So, you don’t like being with me?”
The moment Chi Wenqiu nodded, the other pounced, pinning him down: “What exactly is the difference between me and Qu Sinian! You said it yourself, I’m younger, more vigorous, and we have more in common! Was that all a lie? No, no, it couldn’t be!”
“You aren’t worse than him. I simply don’t like it.” Chi Wenqiu’s voice was flat, as cold as the whistling night wind outside. It drenched the love-struck Qu Jing like ice water. Tears spilled from his wide eyes.
After a long silence, he still couldn’t accept the rejection.
“Then, then why did you provoke me? We haven’t known each other long, but we’ve been through hardships. You used to teach me, share your troubles, tell me your dreams. It’s okay if you don’t remember, I do. But why say such heartless things?”
He could no longer lie to himself. Recalling Chi Wenqiu’s previous coldness, he realized the man truly didn’t care about anything.
A metallic taste of blood spread in his mouth. Qu Jing agonized, unconsciously biting his finger until it bled, yet he felt no pain, only a sharp ache in his chest that made breathing difficult.
He cried harder than he had when he found out Qu Sinian wasn’t his biological father. But Chi Wenqiu wouldn’t comfort him this time; he simply looked away and walked back to his room alone.
He was so, so sleepy. He wanted to sleep and never wake up.
He had been deprived of the right to eternal rest, forced to operate like a numb robot, either until he broke down completely or until he forgot his own name and lost himself.
While still lucid, Chi Wenqiu intended to enjoy what he could. Without extra intervention from the System, he didn’t care about the lives of others. As for Qu Jing? Words of love and affection were just things people said; who was to say they wouldn’t change their minds tomorrow? He didn’t believe in emotional promises.
Chi Wenqiu closed his eyes the moment he lay down and quickly fell into a deep sleep.
He had a strange dream: because he was too cold-hearted, he was cast into the eighteenth level of hell to suffer humiliation. No matter how tragic the dream, it couldn’t shake him. He knew it was just a dream.
The blanket covering him vanished. His messy pajamas were undone. A cold draft rushed in, sending goosebumps across his skin.
Chi Wenqiu, not yet fully awake, writhed uncomfortably. The person intentionally disrupting his sleep had no intention of letting him go, kissing his swollen red lips repeatedly as his actions grew more excessive.
Chi Wenqiu opened his eyes and looked coldly at the spiraling boy. Qu Jing couldn’t stand that intense gaze and tried to block it with his hand, saying hoarsely, “Brother Wenqiu, don’t look at me like that. I really, really like you.”
“You’re no different from your father.”
Qu Jing shuddered, snapping back angrily: “He is not my father!”
“He isn’t? You enjoy his reputation, you received the treatment of a biological son, you inherited his entire company, and you’re pinning down the person he loves. Even if you aren’t his, you’ll never escape his shadow. Without him, you are nothing.”
Qu Jing’s eyes were blood-red with humiliation. “No, don’t say that.”
“Go cry somewhere else. Don’t wake me up!” Chi Wenqiu tried to pull his clothes back on, but the red-eyed puppy grabbed him. His expression was heartbroken and pitiful, yet his large frame loomed over Chi Wenqiu like a collapsing mountain.
He began to take possession, claiming ownership with his scent.
“You,” Chi Wenqiu’s curse was cut short, leaving him only able to let out muffled whimpers. He was lifted by the waist. Qu Jing, with his stunningly powerful build, stared intensely at his flushed, alluring face. Only in moments like these would Chi Wenqiu stop saying such cruel things.
I clearly love his voice. I love his face, his eyes, his soul.
“Chi Wenqiu, don’t provoke me. I don’t ask for much, just seeing you is enough. You don’t like eating? Fine, I’ll feed you myself. But I don’t want you going to Qu Sinian. At least in front of me, you don’t have to pretend to love me, but don’t love anyone else either. I beg you, I beg you!” The innocent puppy murmured with red eyes, working hard while speaking madness.
Chi Wenqiu was somewhat delirious, yet he could hear the words: Master, Little Mom, Brother. It was like a different kind of roleplay to him, constantly on the boy’s lips.
His scalp felt numb. Chi Wenqiu wasn’t as sturdy as Qu Jing; after a night of tossing and turning, he was exhausted. Now, forced into high-intensity work again, his brain felt like it was melting. He simply relaxed his body and let himself be manipulated, unable to even keep his eyes open.
The System had no way to help him, other than lowering his pain index to the minimum. Still, Chi Wenqiu was too sore to speak. He felt no pleasure in his exhaustion, only wishing for time to pass and for this to end.
The moment it was over, he would leave and never look back.
Qu Jing seemed to sense his intent. He stopped talking and focused silently on the task at hand.
Beneath him was a disheveled Chi Wenqiu, yet in his mind, he was remembering all the care Chi Wenqiu had once shown him. He was still reminiscing about the heartbeat he felt at the airport, and the comfort he received on his breaking nights. His thoughts wandered further, to the sight of Chi Wenqiu leaving his room only to go straight to Qu Sinian.
In Qu Jing’s heart, Chi Wenqiu was sacred and inviolable, regardless of how Qu Sinian had used him before; he was willing to love and respect him as a brother. But, why did he have to shatter the beautiful filter? Could he not be a little more soft-hearted and cooperative?
Qu Jing was being driven mad. Tears flowed freely as he sobbed quietly. The sound annoyed Chi Wenqiu, who finally shouted: “When you’re done, get lost! I don’t want to see you again in this life!”
The sobbing behind him stopped instantly. Even his breathing grew light, though the sensation of fullness didn’t diminish.
After a long time, so long that Chi Wenqiu thought Qu Jing might actually pull away, he heard a raspy voice: “Chi Wenqiu, am I just some pathetic person to you?”
“Yes!” Chi Wenqiu gritted his teeth.
“I see.” Qu Jing stared at a small bone at the back of his neck. Tears blurred his vision. He blinked, and the tears fell rapidly. He leaned down tenderly to kiss him. “Then let me make you hate me. I won’t let you go, no matter what. Scold me if you want; it doesn’t matter. If I lose you, that’s when I’ll truly go crazy.”
He finally understood why Qu Sinian had been so forceful with Chi Wenqiu. The man was like a heartless person who didn’t understand love; talking about feelings was a waste of time. Since he liked doing this, then they would do it.
Until death.
Qu Jing’s internal struggle had raged for a long time before finally settling like a stone. He gripped that supple, slender waist with both hands, finally feeling a sense of security.
Adults don’t talk about love; they just take what they want.
…
Fck!
Chi Wenqiu had lost consciousness several times, only to be jolted awake. He had no idea how much time had passed. His aching body was a map of blue and purple; his original pale skin was barely visible.
This was beyond the scope of a normal human. Qu Jing was truly trying to fck him to death!
He was manipulated through round after round of positions until he was numb. He couldn’t even feel the kisses anymore, only waking up when he choked for air. Qu Jing was constantly tracing his features with a sorrowful, deep gaze.
He looked like the one being bullied. Chi Wenqiu’s eyes hurt just looking at him; he wanted to close them to find peace, but Qu Jing would deliberately lick his eyelids, forcing him to look.
The lights must have been bright, but everything looked dark. His temples throbbed painfully. It felt exactly like the aftermath of staying up for two days straight, extreme mental exhaustion, making every movement a struggle.
A pair of hands rested on his neck, fitting perfectly. It was as if his hands were made to clasp that beautiful, jade-like neck, locking him in place like a shackle so he could never escape.
Qu Jing’s eyes grew hot as he whispered: “I heard from the servants, they often saw you coming out of Qu Sinian’s room with finger marks on you. On your neck, and elsewhere. Do you like being mistreated?”
His voice was devoid of emotion, yet Chi Wenqiu saw clear tear tracks on his face.
He was still crying.
As the air was slowly cut off, Chi Wenqiu struggled instinctively. As he began to cough and suffocate, the System panicked: 【Host, the target’s vital signs are weakening!】
What? Does that mean Qu Sinian?
Chi Wenqiu struggled to speak: “Qu, Qu Jing, Qu Sinian, he”
“You still love him, don’t you?” Hearing the name he hated most, Qu Jing’s sorrow was beyond words. He leaned down and kissed Chi Wenqiu with savage brutality, refusing to let him utter another word.
Chi Wenqiu couldn’t breathe. He felt like he was dying of discomfort, but it wasn’t over.
Qu Jing pushed with extreme force, as if venting all his dissatisfaction and unrequited love, filling Chi Wenqiu inch by inch like a vessel.
“Even so, I still love you,” the trembling voice was saturated with infinite love as the rhythm finally slowed.
Chi Wenqiu suddenly lost consciousness, and his neural link with the System severed.
Three years ago, Chi Wenqiu was like a thorn, his striking beauty was sharp and stinging. He wore simple, cheap white shirts and black pants, and was eventually talked into working at a bar.
He was just a lowly waiter. Even with a mask on, his small, elegant chin and lips, along with his graceful posture, made him stand out. He was like a dimly glowing pearl, instantly capturing Qu Sinian’s attention amidst the crowd. Qu Sinian watched coldly as the fresh graduate entered the “red dust” of the world, waiting for his eyes to be stained by the vulgarity of money, waiting for him to fall.
But he didn’t. He politely refused the excessive demands of guests, his gaze remaining calm and indifferent. Even stacks of cash placed before him failed to move him.
Qu Sinian suddenly wanted to know what he desired. This question haunted him for three years.
Normally, the lives of others were none of his business. No matter how interested he was in Chi Wenqiu, Qu Sinian wouldn’t have stepped in to save him for no reason. But as he approached Chi Wenqiu, he heard a voice in his ear: 【Host, this target can only be conquered through the emotional line.】
He wanted to see exactly how Chi Wenqiu would conquer him.
In their subsequent time together, Qu Sinian never heard that cold electronic voice again. Chi Wenqiu was perfectly obedient, as if he only submitted because he needed the money. Yet he clearly loathed serving with his body, recoiling at the slightest touch.
One day, after drinking too much, Qu Sinian crossed the line. He pinned the young man down and looked straight into eyes filled with shock and rage. He was clearly unwilling, yet his body instinctively cooperated, leading Qu Sinian to believe he simply didn’t know how to express his feelings correctly.
Since then, he never felt any emotion from Chi Wenqiu.
There was no love, no hate, nothing. He was as flat as a pool of stagnant water. Even if you stirred the water violently, it would quickly return to its still state.
What did he actually want?
Qu Sinian asked him directly. The beautiful housekeeper only responded with a gentle smile, though his eyes were full of mockery. Qu Sinian thought he was mocking himself; only later did he realize the man was mocking him.
Without breaking a sweat, Chi Wenqiu had made a man, who had been cold and hard for over thirty years, bow to him. Qu Sinian had even smugly believed he was deeply loved.
He could even imagine that if Chi Wenqiu ever got what he wanted, he would instantly turn into a stranger and stab him with the cruelest blade.
Even more tragically, Qu Sinian seemed almost happy to see that happen.
After a minor argument with his heartless beloved, Qu Sinian went alone to a reservoir he had visited as a child. The water was surging, and the warning signs were prominent. He sat on the shore against the howling cold wind, picked up a broken fishing rod from the ground, and pretended to fish.
He knew he wouldn’t catch anything, but he enjoyed it. If he hadn’t stayed so clear-headed over the past three years, constantly baiting the hook, Chi Wenqiu would have escaped long ago.
A fish won’t bite a hook without bait.
Qu Sinian was falling while wide awake. He fell deeper and deeper, realizing he loved Chi Wenqiu far more than himself. He became paranoid, terrified that others might covet him. Even though his little assistant often said “Yes, Master,” his heart was never so submissive.
To keep him hooked, Qu Sinian had exhausted his efforts. Eventually, Chi Wenqiu’s patience ran out, and he gradually stopped pretending, sometimes even trying to resist him. Qu Sinian also grew volatile, using extreme methods to test him, methods that almost caused the hook to be lost forever.
He hadn’t expected his son to be so susceptible to Chi Wenqiu’s charms, actually trying to steal from his own father. In a fit of jealousy, Qu Sinian thought of a wicked plan. Since he couldn’t bear to let Chi Wenqiu successfully complete his mission and leave, he would simply terminate the mission.
To make the man remember him for a lifetime this way, it was worth it.
After waiting all night without seeing him, the man pushed himself up on stiff limbs. Carrying an air of unshakeable nobility, he slowly walked down.
The icy water swallowed him mercilessly. The rapid current slapped against him, eager to drag him into the bottomless abyss.
Perhaps people would never understand why the glorious head of the Qu family chose to end his life so abruptly.
He didn’t know either. He only knew he wanted to love that person until the very last moment.
【Ding! Target deceased. Mission failed!】
