He Yi has never actually shared food with anyone, not even his mother who has taken care of him for many years.
Because he had autism, he had almost no empathy at that time and did not consider other people’s feelings at all. He only knew that he wanted to eat and was afraid that he would go hungry if he was alone at home. So he guarded all the food he liked in the house like a dog guarding its food. He would not give it to his mother when she tried to take it away, and sometimes he would even go crazy and attack her.
I never expected that my first attempt to share this with Shang Jingwu would be rejected.
He Yi didn’t quite understand why Shang Jingwu wouldn’t eat such delicious food, but he didn’t really care to figure it out. After being rejected, he happily ate the food alone.
The hotel where they ate was owned by the Shang Group. The manager was both excited and nervous when he heard that the big boss was coming. He personally led Shang Jingwu and He Yi into the best private room and carefully served them while they ordered.
The Shangs has many businesses, and someone like Mr. Shang is not someone a small hotel manager like him can easily meet.
I heard that although President Shang has a bad temper, he is fair in rewarding and punishing. As long as you do your job well, you will have no shortage of opportunities for promotion and salary increase. So the manager couldn’t help but want to show off in front of Shang Jingwu and was particularly attentive.
He Yi had only been married to Shang Jingwu for a short time, and none of the managers or employees recognized him. When they saw him having dinner with Shang Jingwu, they all began to speculate about his identity.
He Yi already looked young, and with snacks in his hands, he looked like he wasn’t even an adult yet. Plus, everyone thought that President Shang wouldn’t be interested in a fool, so no one guessed that he was the young mistress of the Shang family. They all thought he was some kind of relative of the Shang family.
Shang Jingwu selected two dishes he wanted to eat, and then asked He Yi to continue ordering. He Yi looked at the beautiful pictures on the menu and felt that everything looked delicious, so he checked off a bunch of dishes.
”There’s too much; we can’t finish it,” Shang Jingwu reminded him.
He Yi withdrew his paw and said, looking aggrieved, “But all these dishes look so delicious…”
Shang Jingwu didn’t indulge him, saying, “Come back later if you want to eat, don’t waste food.”
He Yi had no choice but to choose a few more of the dishes he wanted to eat, and then continued to eat snacks while waiting for the food to be served.
Seeing this, the manager became even more certain that this handsome young man was a relative of the big boss. But the next second, he heard He Yi say to Shang Jingwu, “Honey, I need to pee. Is there a restroom here?”
The manager was so surprised that he only came to his senses after being glanced at by Shang Jingwu. He coughed and quickly said to He Yi, “Yes, yes, yes, I’ll take you there.”
He Yi put down the snacks in his hand and went to the restroom. He didn’t notice that the manager and the waiter were secretly looking at him. As soon as he entered the room, he ran to Shang Jingwu with a smile and said, “Honey, I’m back.”
Seeing that his hands were wet, Shang Jingwu handed him a handkerchief and said, “Wipe them clean.”
He Yi obediently took the handkerchief, wiped his face, and then skillfully stuffed the used handkerchief haphazardly into his pocket before continuing to eat his snacks.
Seeing this, the manager was very puzzled. Everyone said that the person President Shang was supposed to marry was a fool, but this one didn’t seem like it at all; he was just a little naive.
And wasn’t it said that President Shang didn’t like him? Why does he seem to dote on him so much?
Shang Jingwu noticed the probing gazes fixed on He Yi and immediately sent everyone out.
He Yi seamlessly transitioned between snacks and lunch. When he was about 70-80% full, he suddenly looked up at Shang Jingwu, who had already stopped eating, and asked in confusion, “Honey, are you full?”
Shang Jingwu glanced at He Yi with considerable surprise and gave a faint “hmm”.
This little guy usually gets so engrossed in eating that he forgets everything else, but today he’s unusually concerned about me.
“But honey, you’re eating so little. Won’t you get hungry soon?” He Yi asked again.
”No, just eat your meal,” Shang Jingwu said.
He Yi said “Oh,” and continued eating, still not quite understanding why Shang Jingwu always ate so little.
By the time he had eaten and drunk his fill, it was almost one o’clock. He had a class in the first period of the afternoon and didn’t have time to go home for a lunch break, so Shang Jingwu took him to a hotel upstairs and booked a room. He also arranged for someone to get him a house near the school so that he could take a nap during his lunch break.
The manager prepared the best suite in the entire hotel for them. The double bed inside was large and soft. As soon as He Yi saw it, he couldn’t help but fall into it and start rolling around. He only calmed down when Shang Jingwu told him to go to sleep.
He Yi cuddled Shang Jingwu and took a nap, feeling very content. When it was time to go to class, he immediately got up and was full of energy.
Seeing this, Shang Jingwu jokingly asked him, “So eager, are you trying to get a scholarship?”
He Yi’s eyes lit up as he asked, “Are there scholarships? How much are they?”
His current concept of money is that it can be used to buy delicious food, so he gets especially excited when he hears about scholarships.
”How many do you want?” Shang Jingwu asked in return.
”Of course, the more the better!” He Yi said, a money-grubber.
Then he couldn’t help but ask, “Does getting first place guarantee a scholarship?”
”Well, you can definitely get first place in your major, but there are a lot of people in your major. Are you sure you can get first place?” Shang Jingwu asked doubtfully.
Even He Yi from before probably wouldn’t have been able to get first place in the Computer Science Department at C University.
”Yes, we can! We definitely can!” He Yi said confidently.
Shang Jingwu smiled and said, “Then good luck.”
If He Yi doesn’t get first place, he’ll just have someone create a new award and secretly give it to the kid.
You can’t dampen your own child’s enthusiasm.
He Yi was unaware of Shang Jingwu’s plans. Full of fighting spirit and dreaming of winning the highest scholarship, he returned to school. He became more and more serious in class and even went to his study to do his homework in the evening.
After Shang Jingwu finished processing the documents, he saw him writing advanced mathematics problems. He couldn’t help but peek over and found that he had actually solved them all correctly. He suddenly felt a sense of pride, just like when he suddenly discovered that his silly dog was actually very smart.
He Yi was very focused on his homework and didn’t even notice that Shang Jingwu was observing him. He finished all his homework in one go before putting down his pen and stretching.
Seeing this, Shang Jingwu put down his English novel and asked, “Finished writing?”
”I’m done writing!” He Yi said happily.
Then he rubbed his rumbling stomach, snuggled up to Shang Jingwu, and asked in a coquettish tone, “Honey, I think I’m hungry again. Can I have some late-night snacks?”
Shang Jingwu had anticipated that he would be hungry and had already had food prepared for him.
He Yi had only intended to have some snacks to tide him over, but he was overjoyed to be able to enjoy a hot and delicious meal. He enthusiastically invited, “Honey, come and eat too!”
Before Shang Jingwu could answer, He Yi’s phone suddenly rang. He glanced at the caller ID and saw a girl’s name. He asked coldly, “Your classmate?”
He Yi paused for a moment before realizing what he meant, then smiled and said, “She’s a classmate I just met today, from our class.”
”Why didn’t you answer?” Shang Jingwu asked.
He Yi then swiped to answer the call, stammered a few words to the other person, and felt the aroma of the food in front of him wafting into his nose. He told the classmate directly, “I’m going to have a late-night snack, I’ll hang up now.”
After saying that, he hung up the phone and then couldn’t wait to drink a mouthful of fragrant pigeon soup.
”Is there something you need that’s calling you so late?” Shang Jingwu asked again.
He Yi swallowed the soup in his mouth before saying, “She asked me if I wanted to have lunch together tomorrow.”
Shang Jingwu’s face darkened even more, but he didn’t say anything more and left in his wheelchair.
He Yi was busy eating and didn’t notice Shang Jingwu’s unusual behavior. When it was time for bed, he quietly squeezed next to Shang Jingwu and whispered, “Honey, you promised to keep kissing me during the day.”
Shang Jingwu closed his eyes and ignored him.
He Yi nuzzled Shang Jingwu with his calf and asked softly, “Honey? Are you asleep?”
Shang Jingwu remained silent.
He Yi stared at Shang Jingwu’s face for a while, finding it more and more handsome. He slowly leaned in, carefully kissed Shang Jingwu’s lips, and then stuck out his tongue to lick them.
Shang Jingwu originally didn’t want to pay attention to him, but now that he had made such a fuss, he suddenly got angry again, flipped over and pinned him down for a deep kiss.
He Yi didn’t know how to hide his feelings; once he got a taste of success, he couldn’t help but want more.
They had played the game of helping each other a few times before, but this time Shang Jingwu didn’t want to just dabble in it anymore.
Both of them were novices, and Shang Jingwu was holding back his temper, so he was inevitably a little impatient. He accidentally hurt He Yi, who immediately cried out, “It hurts so much, honey, I don’t want to continue, I don’t want to play anymore!”
”It won’t hurt in a little while,” Shang Jingwu coaxed him in a hoarse voice.
He Yi was still crying: “But it really hurts so much, my butt feels like it’s on fire, sob sob…”
Seeing how pitifully he was crying, Shang Jingwu had no choice but to let him go for the time being.
Although He Yi was hurt, he still snuggled up and hugged Shang Jingwu as usual when they went to sleep.
Seeing how dependent and unguarded He Yi was, Shang Jingwu’s jealousy subsided a little, and he fell asleep with his arms around He Yi’s waist.
He Yi never learns from a bad experience. The next morning, as soon as he woke up, he started pestering Shang Jingwu for kisses again, and they almost went too far with the kiss early in the morning.
Shang Jingwu said helplessly, “Stop fooling around, breakfast will get cold if you don’t get up now.”
He Yi was thinking about having breakfast, so he quickly got up to wash up.
During class in the morning, He Yi saw the same girls from yesterday again. They all warmly invited him to have lunch together, and He Yi felt embarrassed to refuse, so he agreed.
Shang Jingwu learned of this news from Ah Hu, and when Ah Hu told him that He Yi was having a great time chatting with those girls, he felt uneasy again.
The little guy was his pet, and he couldn’t let someone else take him away. With that thought in mind, Shang Jingwu abandoned the documents he was reading and went straight to the school to confront the person.
After school, He Yi heard that Shang Jingwu had come over again, and without hesitation, he abandoned the female classmates he had just met and ran off to find his husband.
”Does he have a girlfriend? He’s running so fast, he must be on his way to see her,” one of the girls guessed, watching his hurried figure.
”No way, he looks so dull, would he even have a girlfriend?” the girl who called He Yi last night said skeptically.
”Maybe it was his girlfriend who took the initiative. There must be a lot of people who like this kind of naturally naive and handsome guy.”
”Not necessarily. We can just ask him later. Even if he has a girlfriend, we can still steal him away. Third sister, you still have a chance.”
They are a few girls in the same dormitory, and they have gotten along quite well these past few days, so they don’t hold back when they talk.
Upon hearing this, the third sister blushed and scolded, “How can you be so shameless! I’m not trying to steal someone else’s boyfriend, I just want to take a few more glances at the handsome young man.”
He Yi was unaware that these girls were talking about him behind his back. As soon as he saw Shang Jingwu, he asked with delight, “Honey, what brings you here again? Aren’t you busy at work?”
Shang Jingwu actually had a lot to do today, but he still told He Yi, “I’m not busy, I’ll just have a meal with you and then go back.”
He Yi, unsuspecting, said, “Let’s go back to the restaurant from yesterday. I still have several dishes I haven’t tried yet.”
Shang Jingwu didn’t care where they ate, so he went with him. Unexpectedly, they ran into Shang Jingyun as soon as they entered the hotel lobby.
When Shang Jingyun saw them, he smiled and went up to them, asking, “Are you here for dinner too, eldest cousin and sister-in-law?”
He Yi replied, “Yes, yes, little brother, are you here to eat too?”
After he finished speaking, he remembered that Shang Jingwu forbade him to have contact with his younger brother, so he quickly covered his mouth, wanting to take back what he had just said.
Seeing this, Shang Jingyun asked with concern, “What’s wrong, sister-in-law? Are you feeling unwell?”
He Yi quickly shook his head, but didn’t put his hand down, afraid that he might accidentally echo Shang Jingyun’s words again.
