“No need,” Shang Jingwu replied.

The old man’s expectations were dashed, and he sighed slightly. However, seeing that Shang Jingwu only refused and did not get angry as he used to when he heard about seeing a doctor, he was somewhat pleased.

Fearing that further persuasion would offend Shang Jingwu, the old man quickly steered the conversation back to the vacation, saying, “Then you and Xiao Yi should relax and have fun. Be careful on the road and bring a few more people with you.”Full novel: The simple-minded bride of a disabled tycoon to bring him good fortune — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Yes, I will, thank you Grandpa,” Shang Jingwu replied.

“Alright, then you can go back now and get some rest,” the old man said wearily.

“Grandpa, you should get some rest too.” Shang Jingwu said before leaving.

On his way back from the old man’s place, he ran into Shang Xingzhi again. After exchanging a few polite words, Shang Xingzhi, putting on airs of an elder, asked, “Have you arranged everything at the company?”

After the old man fell ill, he handed over the management of the Shang Group to Shang Jingwu. Shang Xingzhi, as the uncle, had to work under his nephew, which made him very resentful. However, Shang Jingwu never made any mistakes at work and instead increased the group’s stock value. Moreover, he was very patient at a young age and would go to work at the company all year round as long as he was not sick. Even if Shang Xingzhi wanted to find fault with him, he couldn’t find anything to criticize.

A while ago, Shang Jingwu brought He Yi to the company and caused a scene. The news spread like wildfire throughout the company. When he came back, he told the old man that it was very improper for Shang Jingwu to make the financial director get a spanking in public. Unexpectedly, the old man actually laughed and said that the punishment was quite interesting, which made him furious.

Shang Jingwu and He Yi went on vacation this time, turning down several days of work. This was a rare opportunity for him, so he couldn’t help but ask.

Shang Jingwu glanced at him and said calmly, “It’s all arranged, Second Uncle. You just need to do what you’re supposed to do.”

Shang Xingzhi originally thought that since he had taken the initiative to ask, Shang Jingwu would at least give him face and let him help manage the company for a few days. He didn’t expect that this brat Shang Jingwu would not give him any face at all. He was so angry that he glared at Shang Jingwu and said, “Why don’t I have to worry about you? We’re all family. Shouldn’t I, as your uncle, keep an eye on things for you while you’re gone?”

Shang Jingwu said unhurriedly, “I have already handed over the reins to Lu Shengyuan. You just need to manage your subordinates as usual.”

Many of Shang Xingzhi’s subordinates got in through nepotism. Not only did they not work, but they also always dragged others down. Shang Jingwu deliberately put them all in the same branch company for Shang Xingzhi to manage himself. However, these troublemakers would occasionally cause trouble for the head office. When things got out of hand, Shang Jingwu would have to clean up their messes. So, Shang Jingwu’s statement was already a big favor to Shang Xingzhi.

Shang Xingzhi retorted, unconvinced, “Lu Shengyuan is, after all, an outsider…”

Shang Jingwu was too lazy to listen to his nepotism principles and didn’t want to repeat what he had said many times before, so he interrupted him directly and said, “Second Uncle, I have to go back and rest.”

Shang Xingzhi got angry at Shang Jingwu’s mature and composed demeanor, snorted coldly, and turned away.

Shang Jingwu ignored him and went straight back to his room.

Because he was going out to play with Shang Jingwu, He Yi was as excited as a primary school student going on his first school trip. He made a fuss for a while and couldn’t fall asleep. In the end, Shang Jingwu, who couldn’t stand it anymore, threatened that if he didn’t fall asleep, he wouldn’t take him out. Only then did he force himself to go to sleep.

Although he went to bed late, he woke up very early the next morning. As soon as he opened his eyes, he shook Shang Jingwu’s arm and said, “Honey, honey, it’s time to get up. The sun is already high in the sky.”

Shang Jingwu was suddenly woken up, angrily swatted his hand away, and cursed fiercely, “Get out of here!”

He Yi immediately rolled over on the bed, then climbed back to Shang Jingwu’s side and said, “I’m done rolling, honey, get up quickly, we’re going out to play today, did you forget?”

Shang Jingwu’s morning grumpiness was largely worn away by He Yi. He really had no way to deal with this shameless little fool.

He sat up irritably, glanced at the time and saw it was only a little past five. Thinking about how the little guy had kept him up until one or two in the morning last night, his temper flared up again. He grabbed He Yi’s face and demanded sharply, “Look at the time! Your flight is at ten and you got up at five? What did I tell you yesterday?”

He Yi, wincing from being pinched, said, “I’m sorry, I was just too excited. Honey, why don’t you sleep a little longer?”

Shang Jingwu had already been woken up and couldn’t fall back asleep, so he could only get out of bed, holding his breath.

While eating breakfast, He Yi noticed that Shang Jingwu was eating less than usual, and asked anxiously, “Honey, are you full? Do you want to eat some more?”

Ever since Shang Jingyun said that Shang Jingwu wouldn’t live long, He Yi has been worried. Every time he sees that Shang Jingwu is eating little, he can’t help but urge Shang Jingwu to eat more.

Shang Jingwu got up too early today, and his morning grumpiness hadn’t subsided yet, so he had no appetite at all. However, seeing He Yi’s worried look, he still symbolically drank a few more mouthfuls of porridge.

Seeing this, He Yi happily praised him, “My husband is great, eat more next time too!”

Shang Jingwu reached out and ruffled his soft hair, saying irritably, “Just eat your food.”

He Yi chuckled twice. “I’m eating.”

After breakfast, Shang Jingwu saw that there was still plenty of time, so he led He Yi to say goodbye to the old man before heading to the airport.

He Yi had never been on an airplane before, and he was as excited as a puppy that had been cooped up for a long time before finally going out. He jumped on and started touching and looking at everything, asking all sorts of questions.

Shang Jingwu found him noisy and couldn’t be bothered with him, so he left him to Du Yuwei to deal with.

The private jet was spacious enough that He Yi excitedly wandered around inside several times. However, when the plane was about to take off, he suddenly became a little scared. He ran to Shang Jingwu’s side, grabbed Shang Jingwu’s arm, and asked, “Honey, honey, are we going to take off? Will we crash?”

“No,” Shang Jingwu replied.

“Are you sure you won’t?” He Yi was still a little worried.

After saying that, he peeked out the window again, and seeing the buildings below getting smaller and smaller, he quickly pulled his head back and asked Shang Jingwu, “Honey, do airplanes fly as high as elevators?”

“Higher than that.”

He Yi was both scared and excited. Every time he looked out, he would hold onto Shang Jingwu’s arm tightly. Only when he saw large swaths of white clouds obscuring the landscape did he forget his fear and excitedly shout, “So many clouds! Honey, look! So many beautiful clouds!”

“I saw it,” Shang Jingwu replied dismissively.

He Yi pressed his face against the windowpane, excitedly exclaiming as he looked inside, “It’s so beautiful! It looks so soft, I want to lie down and roll around in it!”

“Cotton candy! Honey, look, those clouds over there look like cotton candy, they look so delicious…”

Shang Jingwu saw that He Yi had squeezed his face out of shape and was drooling at the clouds outside. He was amused and reached out to pull him back, saying, “Okay, stop looking. Your eyes will hurt if you look for too long. I’ll take you to eat after we get off the plane.”

“Really? Thank you, honey.” He Yi excitedly leaned over and kissed Shang Jingwu.

Seeing that he had run away after kissing him, Shang Jingwu grabbed his waist, pulled him into his arms, pinched his chin, and kissed him.

He Yi hummed twice, then relaxed and enjoyed it. After kissing him, he wanted to continue, lingering on Shang Jingwu for a while before finally getting off.

Noticing the changing clouds outside, he couldn’t resist leaning out the window to look again. Seeing this, Shang Jingwu took out a pair of sunglasses and put them on him, worried that he might get snow blindness if he looked for too long.

Their first destination was a seaside food city, where He Yi tried all the local delicacies before going to the beach with Shang Jingwu.

A few white clouds drifted across the azure sky, and the blue sea shimmered under the sunlight. Seagulls cried out in the distance, and the moist sea breeze carried the unique scent of the ocean. A few tourists lay scattered on the golden sand, and some people were swimming and surfing on the beach.

He Yi, wearing brightly colored beach shorts, ran towards the beach yelling while holding a swimming ring. Halfway there, he suddenly tripped and fell. He simply threw the swimming ring off and started rolling around on the soft sand. After rolling around, he got up and shouted to Shang Jingwu, “Honey, come quick! The sand here is so soft, it’s so much fun!”

Shang Jingwu’s wheelchair couldn’t move on the beach, so he shook his head at He Yi and raised his voice, saying, “Go play by yourself, I’ll wait for you here.”

He Yi hesitated for a moment, but ultimately couldn’t resist the allure of the sea and happily ran towards the beach.

Afraid that he might drown, Ah Hu stayed close behind him.

He Yi splashed around on the beach for a while with a swimming ring on him. Seeing how cool the other children were swimming, he begged Ah Hu to teach him to swim. After struggling for a long time, he only learned to doggy paddle a little.

Nevertheless, he couldn’t help but run back to Shang Jingwu and boast, “Honey, I’ve learned to swim!”

Seeing that his face was flushed from the sun, Shang Jingwu tossed him a towel soaked in cold water and said, “You’re great, wipe your sweat off.”

He Yi rubbed his face with a towel and shook his wet hair. “Of course, I’m very smart.”

Shang Jingwu smiled and handed him a bottle of ice-cold cola. He Yi gulped down more than half of it in one go. Suddenly, he saw tourists drinking coconut juice not far away and asked curiously, “Honey, what’s that?”

“Coconut, would you like some?” Shang Jingwu asked.

He Yi nodded frantically, “I want to drink, I want to drink.”

Shang Jingwu then asked Ah Hu to bring over two freshly picked coconuts, and then personally took a knife and opened one for He Yi.

He Yi admired Shang Jingwu’s skillful movements with a look of admiration, and said excitedly, “Honey, you’re so amazing! I want to play this too, can you teach me?”

Seeing that he was in high spirits, Shang Jingwu handed him the knife with some apprehension, reminding him, “Be careful, don’t cut yourself.”

He Yi nodded and said, “I will!”

Shang Jingwu gestured at the top of the coconut and instructed He Yi, “Start cutting from here, and then…”

He Yi obediently did as Shang Jingwu said and successfully opened a coconut. He was overjoyed and danced with excitement, saying, “Honey, look, I’ve done it!”

“Well done,” Shang Jingwu praised him, then said, “Don’t move, give me the knife.”

He Yi handed the knife back to Shang Jingwu, and presented the coconut he had just opened to him like a treasure, saying excitedly, “Honey, try it and see if it’s good.”

Shang Jingwu inserted a straw, took a sip from He Yi’s hand, and commented, “Delicious.”

He Yi laughed so hard his eyes almost disappeared. He leaned over and took a big gulp through the straw Shang Jingwu had used. After swallowing, he said with satisfaction, “It really tastes so good. Honey, you can keep drinking. I’ll go try the one you just opened.”
