Jiang You and the others subconsciously looked toward the source of the voice.

A man in a tuxedo stood there, his black hair slicked back impeccably. He had a handsome face with gentle, refined features. He wore black-framed glasses and exuded a steady, composed aura.

"Our young miss has other matters to attend to later, so she won’t be joining you," the man said, his voice gentle and cultured.Full novel: The System Ordered Every Insult—and They Heard It All — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"Who are you!" Yang Qi frowned, displeased. "We can’t go just because you say so?"

Jiang You also looked at the man in surprise. "Yeah, who are you?"

The man looked at Jiang You. His eyes were a light color—ash gray, upon closer inspection. He respectfully placed his right hand over his left breast, clasped his left hand behind his back, and bowed slightly. "I forgot to introduce myself, Young Miss. My name is Chi Chuan, your new housekeeper. From now on, all of your affairs will be handled by me alone."

Housekeeper Chi straightened up calmly after his brief bow and explained gently, his attitude respectful but firm, "I have already dismissed your previous driver. I will be taking you to and from school from now on."

He paused. "However, I will only be picking you up on weekends from now on. Your parents have received your report card from the start of the semester. They were quite displeased and have instructed me to arrange for you to board at the school. From now on, you will live at the school and focus on your studies."

Jiang You’s eye twitched. ’My parents already know I got a zero on the entrance exam?’

’And because of that, they’re making me live in the dorms to study better?’

’But the System won’t let me study in front of other people!’

’Even if they do this, it’s useless.’

Her three little lackeys exchanged glances and looked at Jiang You.

The dorms at Rose Liss School were two-person rooms. Only students with the golden rose brooch had special privileges.

If Jiang You boarded at the school, she would definitely have to share a room with someone.

’How am I supposed to study in secret then?’

"I’m not living in the dorms," Jiang You said with a frown.

"Young Miss, your fingerprints have already been removed from the villa’s security system. You won’t be able to get in even if you go back." Chi Chuan seemed to have anticipated her refusal. Before starting the job, he had naturally done his homework on his employer’s daughter’s preferences and personality, and had come prepared. "This is your parents’ decision. I hope you will be obedient."

Jiang You really felt like she was about to lose it.

’What about my milk tea, fried chicken, stir-fried noodles...’

’What am I going to do!’

’In the villa, I was all alone and didn’t have to maintain this persona. I could do whatever I wanted. How am I supposed to have milk tea and fried chicken in a school dorm!’

Although Jiang You was very reluctant, she had no choice but to follow Chi Chuan back to the school.

After all, her parents held the purse strings.

Her three lackeys and the sycophant had no choice but to leave.

Jiang You arrived at her dorm room to find that the housekeeper had already taken care of everything. All of her clothes, shoes, and cosmetics from the villa were here.

She could move right in.

Soon, Housekeeper Chi exchanged contact information with her, told her to contact him if she had any problems, and then left.

She was left alone in the dorm room. She didn’t know who her roommate was, and they hadn’t returned yet.

Jiang You sat on a rolling chair, casually scrolling through her terminal. She was wondering how she could find a place to study in secret without breaking character.

The four-person group chat.

It was her and her three lackeys.

Yu Lin: @Sister You, are you really not coming out to play?

Chen Yu: Yeah, Sister You, let’s skip evening self-study tonight and just go have fun.

Lin Xue: Right? What’s that housekeeper going to do? It’s not like he can run your life.

Jiang You didn’t want to go out. She had come up with a way to study alone in secret without breaking character!

[Mission 9 has been issued.]

Jiang You had already typed out a message saying she wouldn’t go, but she silently deleted it and typed something new.

Jiang You: Hmph. Of course. He’s just a housekeeper.

Jiang You: Send someone to pick me up. We’re going out tonight!

Her three lackeys immediately and excitedly agreed.

The thought of having to stir up trouble again brought a trace of melancholy to Jiang You’s face.

’This whole playing-the-villainess-side-character thing is a 24/7 job.’

Just as she was about to put down her terminal, she saw someone tag her in the ten-person group chat.

Yun Yue: @Jiang You, how’s your progress?

At first, Jiang You didn’t understand. She scrolled up through the chat history and realized why Yun Yue had suddenly tagged her.

It turned out that not long ago, Yun Yue had put on a big show in front of Zhou Yu.

She had sent people to beat up Zhou Yu, then descended like an angel. She pretended to scare the attackers away by brandishing her purple rose brooch. Then, full of feigned concern, she had walked to Zhou Yu’s side and offered to take him to the infirmary. But to her surprise, Zhou Yu wasn’t grateful at all. He just pushed her away and told her to get lost.

Yun Yue: As expected. These scholarship students with their inferiority complexes and holier-than-thou attitudes are always on guard at first. They’re a tough nut to crack. I just need to put on a few more shows and it’ll be fine!

Jiang You’s lip twitched as she listened to Yun Yue prattle on with such practiced expertise.

Yun Yue: @Jiang You, you haven’t forgotten our bet, have you? I heard you’ve set your sights on the four top dogs of our school? Even I wouldn’t dare to provoke them. You’ve got some nerve.

Jiang You: Mind your own business. I haven’t forgotten the bet. Just you wait. I’ll definitely win.

After sending the message, Jiang You couldn’t be bothered to say anything more to them.

’In any case, Zhou Yu likes the female lead.’

As she thought this, her train of thought suddenly halted. She remembered the person on the basketball court who had used his body to shield her from the ball.

’Why did Zhou Yu block the basketball for me?’

Jiang You frowned slightly, but quickly came up with a reasonable explanation for herself.

’The female lead was right next to me at the time. He must have been trying to block it for her. I was just an accident.’

’Yes, that’s it. That’s right!’

「In a bar booth.」

"Sister You, this is the peach-flavored fruit wine you like." Yang Qi squeezed in next to Jiang You, fawningly handing her a glass of pink fruit wine with a straw thoughtfully placed in it.

Jiang You accepted it with haughty reserve and began to sip it slowly. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed the young man mixing drinks at the bar.

He wore a black and white waiter’s vest. His hair was a bit long, the ends slightly damp as if he had just washed his face. His striking beauty was somewhat overshadowed by his gloomy aura. He mixed the drink expressionlessly, his sleeves rolled halfway up to reveal pale, sinewy arms. When he shook the cocktail shaker vigorously, the veins on his arms bulged slightly.

Under the dim, flickering lights of the bar, he possessed a unique charm that was both stunning and spectral.

’So Zhou Yu really does work part-time here.’

"Sister You, is it good? Want me to add a few lemon slices?" Yang Qi stared at Jiang You, mesmerized and lost in a daze. He couldn’t help but lean closer and closer as he spoke, his eyes fixed on the girl’s long eyelashes, her soft pink eyes, and her full, moist red lips. He gulped. "I heard adding lemon gives it a different flavor. Do you want to try, Sister You?"

Jiang You was preoccupied with her mission and didn’t hear a word the person next to her was saying.

Before Yang Qi could touch Jiang You, Yu Lin yanked him away. "Yang Qi, are you trying to get yourself killed, getting that close?!"
