The buttons at the collar of Lu Yubai’s shirt had long been pulled open from the heat. Distressed and restless, he scratched at his reddened collarbone.
“Chi Chi, I want the sea salt flavor.”
Yan Chi’s brow furrowed slightly. A gentle ripple appeared in his dark eyes, and the countless swirling emotions in his pupils gradually cleared into transparency. He looked down at Lu Yubai’s incredibly alluring face, and his hand moved instinctively to stroke it. The restraint in his eyes turned into madness, slowly eroding his will.
Who told him to act this way?
Yan Chi knelt on the bed with one leg. The hand stroking Lu Yubai’s cheek slid down to his jaw. With a nudge of his thumb, he tilted up that face full of intense desire.
“Do not regret this,” Yan Chi said, his tone commanding.
Lu Yubai reached out and gripped Yan Chi’s wrist, his voice steady. “I do not regret it.”
Yan Chi leaned down and kissed his lips. The warm contact was something Lu Yubai craved deeply. In the darkness, the beast within his deep pupils, which had been suppressed for so long, broke out of its cage, crushing his usual gentleness into the moonlight.
Lu Yubai could not get enough. He greedily wrapped his arms around Yan Chi’s waist. When Yan Chi went to take a shower, Lu Yubai sneaked in after him. Under his scrutiny, Yan Chi’s face turned bright red before he pulled Lu Yubai in and pinned him against the wall to tease him.
After the shower, Yan Chi dried Lu Yubai’s hair. Lu Yubai restlessly buried his head against Yan Chi’s abdominal muscles, sniffing the faint scent of cedar on his body, and his hands became unruly. Consequently, Lu Yubai was “educated” once again.
He could not remember how he eventually fell asleep. He only knew that when he woke up, Yan Chi was not in the room, and he could no longer smell the cedar.
He ran out in a hurry, not even wearing shoes. When he found Yan Chi at the sink, Yan Chi was wiping his face. Lu Yubai burrowed into Yan Chi’s arms, hugging his waist and pestering him for candy.

During this period, Lu Yubai was extremely clingy. Yan Chi took a leave of absence because Lu Yubai needed him. No Enigma would leave their partner alone during heat to go to work. However, Yan Chi found that Lu Yubai was far too troublesome.
While he was cooking, Lu Yubai insisted on holding hands. Yan Chi pampered him, freeing up one hand to hold his. Lu Yubai was not satisfied and kept mischievously leaning in. Even when Yan Chi was chopping vegetables, Lu Yubai refused to let the opportunity pass, insisting on holding the vegetables for him.
Worried about cutting Lu Yubai’s hand, Yan Chi gave up on the dish and started boiling noodles instead. While the noodles were boiling, Lu Yubai leaned in again, saying he wanted a fried egg. As Yan Chi cracked the egg with one hand, Lu Yubai’s body brushed against him, seemingly intentionally.
Yan Chi’s face darkened instantly, and his grip on Lu Yubai’s hand tightened. Lu Yubai looked back at him, blinking his eyes with an innocent and pure expression. “The pan is dry; you need to add oil.”
Yan Chi was speechless. A flash of desire flickered in his eyes. He lifted the restless Lu Yubai onto the kitchen island and gazed at him with deep affection.
His voice was low and pleasant. “Fine, I will add oil.”
Furthermore, Lu Yubai would pester him for hugs like a child. A bridal carry was not enough; it had to be a koala hug. Most annoyingly, Lu Yubai even insisted on a hug when Yan Chi went to the bathroom. He was like an insecure child who needed to be coaxed and held.
“Chi Chi, hug me!” Lu Yubai rolled around on the bed.
When Yan Chi refused, Lu Yubai’s eyes immediately turned red. “Do you not love me anymore? I want a hug.”
Yan Chi replied, “Those are two different things.”
Lu Yubai promised, “I will not peek! Really, I promise! Chi Chi!”
Ultimately, under Lu Yubai’s relentless pestering, Yan Chi grit his teeth and agreed. However, Lu Yubai did not keep his promise at all. He breathed warmly into Yan Chi’s ear, “Chi Chi, I prefer the milk-colored one.”
Yan Chi’s face turned red and then pale. Yet, he did not find Lu Yubai annoying at all; instead, he quite enjoyed the days of being pestered.
Three whole days passed before Lu Yubai fully regained his senses. When he woke up, he was lying on the bed with his whole body limp, staring at the ceiling, and his legs were trembling uncontrollably.
Bastard! Yan Chi was a bastard!
While cursing under his breath, he shrunk his legs to crawl out of bed, but every movement made his waist ache and his back feel numb, as if he had been struck by electricity. Was Yan Chi trying to kill him?
Rubbing his waist, he twisted his body to get out of bed. He felt like he looked exactly like a zombie from a television drama. After washing up and going downstairs, he heard movement in the kitchen.
Lu Yubai supported his waist and walked in, finding Yan Chi frying eggs. When Yan Chi saw him, his gaze was not as cold as before, but his eyes were deep, as if he were avoiding something. There was fear and worry. He looked as if he wanted to ask something but hesitated, quickly lowering his eyelids and saying gently, “It is almost ready. Wait for me outside.”
As if reading his mind, Lu Yubai replied, “I do not regret it.”
Yan Chi’s expression improved significantly, and a trace of warmth appeared in his eyes. “We will talk in a moment. Sit down and wait for me.”
Lu Yubai sat down while supporting his waist, looking like an Omega who was eight or nine months pregnant and about to give birth. What kind of Enigma would exhaust their Alpha so miserably?
He let out a resentful sigh, and a cup of steaming milk was suddenly placed in front of him. He instinctively pushed it away.
Yan Chi pushed the milk back. “What is wrong?”

Lu Yubai was truly famished. He did not have time to talk to Yan Chi and buried his head in his meal. After finishing, he looked at the empty plate with lingering desire.
“Is there more?” He looked up at Yan Chi expectantly.
Yan Chi went back to the kitchen to boil some small wontons for him. This time, Lu Yubai was finally full. It had to be said that Yan Chi’s cooking was as good as ever. Combined with the excessive exercise over the last three days, Lu Yubai was too tired and hungry, so he ate a lot.
However, he did not drink the milk. Since he was six years old, he had not touched milk.
Lu Yubai waited for Yan Chi to finish his pasta in a refined and cold manner, which was a stark contrast to his own famished appearance. He looked Yan Chi up and down suspiciously.
“Are you not tired?”
Three days. Thirteen times. What normal man could handle that?

Lu Yubai was stunned. How could he say something so suggestive with such a straight face? He shivered in fear and quickly waved his hands. “No, no!” He was not built for that!
“Then, shall we have a proper talk?” Yan Chi asked seriously.
Lu Yubai nodded.
Yan Chi was the first to ask, “How did you manage these three years? Did you rely on inhibitors?”
