For a moment, everyone looked toward the door.

The girl at the door looked no older than twenty, wearing a baseball cap and a T-shirt with straight-leg pants. She looked fairly fresh and clean, but to the Lin family, she seemed rather shabby.

"What kind of person is this? Who let her in!?" The eldest Lin brother stood up abruptly and demanded.Full novel: The True Heiress Returns from Prison: Her Four Brothers Beg for Forgiveness on Their Knees — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

But Lin Siyi became excited instead. "Xia You! It's you! You're back!"

Xia You looked at Lin Siyi and curled the corner of her mouth slightly. "To be precise, I'm out."

Seeing Lin Siyi so excited, everyone else's faces showed surprise.

Lin Siyi was known throughout the Lin family for being composed and steady. How could she become this excited just from seeing this girl?

Who exactly was she?

The Lin family members exchanged bewildered glances.

"Siyi, you know her?" the eldest sister-in-law asked suspiciously. "She's not some daughter you had out of wedlock, is she?"

Lin Siyi had now calmed down completely. She looked at Xia You and smiled. "She's the one who can save Mom."

Hearing this, everyone from the Lin family seated there erupted.

"What kind of joke are you playing?"

"Her? A little brat like her can save someone?"

"Are you sure you haven't been scammed? Mom's illness couldn't even be cured by the world's top specialists. She can cure it?"

"Haha, this is the person you said could save Mom? Lin Siyi, do you think this kind of joke is funny?"

…

From the elders to the younger generation, everyone in the Lin family was questioning her, and some had even started mocking whether Lin Siyi's brain was functioning properly.

Lin Siyi's expression darkened. "Xia You is someone I invited to treat Mom. If there's any problem, I'll take full responsibility."

Xia You didn't pay any attention to the rest of the Lin family at all. Instead, she directly asked Lin Siyi, "Did you bring what I need?"

Lin Siyi nodded. "I keep it with me at all times, especially today."

With that, she immediately signaled her secretary, who quickly took out a rosewood box from the Hermès bag in her hand.

Xia You took the rosewood box and opened it. Only then did everyone see that inside were nine silver needles as thin as strands of hair!

Xia You was very satisfied. After putting away the silver needles, she asked, "Where is the patient?"

"Wait, you're really going to let her treat Mom? Have you lost your mind?" The eldest brother stepped forward to block her.

Xia You swept a glance at him. "I said I can treat her."

The Lin family members wanted to say more, but they were interrupted by another voice.

"This young lady seems so confident. But what if you fail to cure her?"

The voice was clear and cool, with a hint of frivolity. Before the person even appeared, he already gave off an air of playful irreverence.

When he stepped into the room, his tall, lean figure and upright posture exuded a uniquely masculine charisma and tension.

The newcomer was around twenty years old, wearing a perfectly tailored bespoke suit. His features were as sharply carved as if chiseled, and combined together, they created an almost excessively handsome face.

A metallic ear stud adorned his left ear—defiant and flamboyant.

Behind him, over a dozen bodyguards stood in two rows on either side, each radiating an aura that warned strangers to keep their distance.

Xia You raised an eyebrow slightly.

That physique… was absolutely stunning.

Paired with that face.

Tsk.

The moment he arrived, the expressions of the Lin family members all changed. Even their eyes carried a hint of fawning.

A few of the younger members timidly shuffled back a step.

"Third Aunt." He curled his lips and greeted Lin Siyi.

"Why are you here?" Lin Siyi was also somewhat pleasantly surprised.

Lu Siche didn't answer. Instead, he looked at Xia You, his cold, sharp gaze looking down at her from above. "Miss, you still haven't answered my question from earlier."

Xia You tugged at the corner of her mouth. "If I can't cure her, you can be my dad. If I do cure her, I'll be your real dad. How about that?"
