A dim yellow lightbulb flickered weakly in the night breeze.

Its glow illuminated six hands intertwined on the bed.Full novel: The ‘Ugly’ Girl of the 70s is Too Tempting: Two Big Shots are Fighting Over Her — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Pain…

Su Nuannuan’s consciousness blurred, feeling as if her bones were about to split apart!

Her slender willow-leaf brows furrowed tightly.

Fatigue, pain, and an indescribable mix of agony and pleasure made her tremble all over. Her mind was engulfed by towering waves, her body stiffened, and she plunged abruptly into darkness.

“This is the room! We’ve received a report that someone is engaging in illicit relations here. Open the door immediately for inspection!”

A domineering male voice suddenly rang out outside the door.

Footsteps drew closer and closer.

“Yes, yes, I’ll get the spare key right away.”

The sound of metal clattering followed—the attendant frantically fumbling for the keys.

A mechanical voice echoed in Su Nuannuan’s mind.

[Ding! The Succubus 007 System has detected that the host has harvested two Children of Fortune. Reward: Beauty Points +10.]

[Current Beauty Points: 10]

[Figure: 0, scrawny bean sprout]

[Voice: 40, soft and gentle]

[Health Points: 10, on the brink of death]

[Combat Power: 0, weakling]

[The system has detected imminent danger. Thirty seconds remaining for the host to escape. An escape route has been planned. Successfully escaping will reward 2 Health Points. Failure will result in immediate Erasure!]

Erasure?

Su Nuannuan sat up abruptly, her eyes darting around in panic. The room was unfamiliar and shabby.

A rattan-wrapped thermos, a white porcelain cup printed with a worker’s portrait, and beside the small 1.5-meter wooden bed lay a messy pile of clothes.

Two black leather belts were tangled together, and a woman’s floral-patterned undershirt peeked out from under a pair of army-green trousers.

Her gaze fixed blankly on the calendar hanging on the opposite wall.

July 1975?

Wasn’t she just pulling an all-nighter in the lab, crunching data? Where on earth had she ended up?

Before she could ponder further, a piercing alarm blared in her mind.

[Escape countdown initiated: 10, 9, 8…]

Su Nuannuan’s heart clenched violently, her hair standing on end. A glowing screen appeared before her eyes, displaying the scene within a ten-meter radius.

The doorway was crowded with people. Several individuals wearing red armbands glared menacingly at the door, while the attendant inserted the key into the lock.

Catching adulterers?

The term flashed inexplicably in Su Nuannuan’s mind. She glanced down and felt her scalp tingle.

Her underdeveloped body was covered in bruises of varying shades. Two arms were still wrapped around her waist—one fair and toned, the other muscular and thicker than her thigh.

Two faint breaths brushed against her back from behind, sending a wave of panic through Su Nuannuan.

Not daring to look at the debauched scene behind her, she gritted her teeth against the pain, pried the hands from her waist, hastily pulled on her clothes, leaped off the bed, and fled along the escape route provided by the system.

Run!

In this era, being caught for “worn shoes” was a matter of life and death.

Besides…

The arrow on the glowing screen pointed directly at the window.

Pushing the window open, a gust of hot wind carrying the scent of earth rushed toward her face.

Su Nuannuan glanced down. It was two stories high, with nothing but bare stone pavement below.

She bit her lip, her voice trembling. “System, are you sure this is the escape route and not a suicide jump?”

With her current frail body, jumping would shatter her remaining 10 Health Points in an instant.

[Three seconds remaining. Erasure countdown: 3, 2…]

The system’s icy voice hung over the back of her neck like a butcher’s knife.

Su Nuannuan gritted her teeth. “Stop! Stop counting! I’ll jump!”

“Crack!”

The lock turned, and the tightly shut door was pushed open from the outside.

Su Nuannuan closed her eyes and jumped from the second floor.

A group of people charged into the room aggressively, led by a man who shouted sternly, “Don’t move! Arrest everyone inside!”

“Yes!”

Several soldiers rolled up their sleeves and rushed toward the messy bed.

The room fell silent. The men stood by the bed with strange expressions, their eyes wide and dazed.

Such handsome men.

On the messy bed lay two men with distinctly different styles.

One had fair skin, delicate features, and dark hair scattered messily across his forehead, exuding an intimidating air of nobility.

The other had sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, with a face defined by angular lines. His muscular arms were exposed outside the blanket, and he sported a buzz cut. Even with his eyes closed, the sharp aura around him was unmistakable.

He was like a sword forged from mountains of corpses and seas of blood, making the men’s knees go weak.

“What are you all standing around for? Get moving! Hurry up and arrest them!” a male voice urged impatiently.

“Brother… Brother Hui, isn’t there a mistake? These… these are two men,” a young soldier stammered.

Upon hearing this, the attendant’s eyes lit up, and he secretly breathed a sigh of relief. He squeezed his way in, and upon seeing the scene on the bed, his tense body seemed to lose all strength, his straight spine slumping.

Great, his job was safe.

Wiping the cold sweat from his forehead, he laughed heartily and said, “So it was a misunderstanding. I said it all along—how could anyone slip past my eagle eyes and sneak in to engage in illicit affairs? Gentlemen, let’s step outside and not disturb the guests’ rest.”

Brother Hui sniffed the air, a flash of malice in his fierce eyes.

“Something’s off. With such a strong scent, someone must have been here. Search the place, don’t leave a single inch unchecked.”

“Huh? Scent?” The young soldiers instinctively took deep breaths.

They exchanged confused glances. “What scent?”

Brother Hui kicked one of them and cursed angrily, “Get lost! If you could smell it, I’d have to step down as captain. Hurry up and search!”

The soldiers jumped aside, clutching their buttocks, not daring to ask further questions. They rushed to every hiding spot in the room.

Soon, they called out, sweating profusely, “Brother Hui, we’ve searched everywhere. No one’s here.”

Brother Hui frowned tightly, his sharp gaze shifting to the wide-open window. He strode forward and ran his fingers over the footprints on the windowsill.

A sinister smile curled his lips. “So they escaped from here.”

Dusting off his hands, he ordered coldly, “There’s only one road below. Go after them. Take these two men away for questioning.”

Below, the night was deep and thick, the chirping of summer insects echoing in the silent darkness.

At the corner of an alley.

Su Nuannuan clutched her aching waist, bent over, gasping for breath, her face deathly pale.

Her thighs throbbed with a piercing pain, especially her chest, where some bastard had bitten her. The broken skin stung as sweat washed over it.

“I can’t go on. I can’t run anymore. It should be safe now, right?”

Succubus 007: [The Red Armbands are on their way. Estimated arrival in three minutes.]

“Still coming?” Su Nuannuan leaned against the wall, panting heavily as she sat down. “I can’t do it. Just Erasure me, quick and clean. Give me a swift end.”

Succubus 007: …

In the narrow, shadowy alley, the sound of barking dogs echoed.

Footsteps grew closer and closer.

Su Nuannuan swallowed her dry throat, “System, we’re in a cooperative relationship now. If I’m good, you’re good, everyone’s good. If I die, you’ll definitely be punished too. How about sending a newbie gift pack?”

“Not asking for much, just casually give me something like invisibility, light-footedness, or something.”

Succubus 007: …What kind of thing did it bind with?

Invisibility, light-footedness, and casually?
