Life always moved forward.

People rarely questioned the impossible.

They simply called it coincidence…

And continued living.

— Inside the small stone house…

The atmosphere was very different.

The baby’s father had finally returned.

His broad shoulders carried the weight of long days spent beyond the village.

The moment he stepped through the door…

His tired eyes met the tiny child sleeping peacefully in the wooden cradle.

For several long seconds…

He couldn’t move.

Then a smile slowly appeared on his face.

“So…” he whispered.

“This is my son.” The young mother nodded with tearful eyes.

“He was waiting for you.” The man gently lifted the child into his arms.

The baby slowly opened his eyes.

For the first time…

Father and son looked at one another.

Neither spoke.

Neither needed to.

Some bonds were formed long before words.

— The old midwife watched silently.

A warm smile appeared on her face.

Yet…

The uneasiness in her heart remained.

She still couldn’t forget the stopped clock…

The silent forest…

Or the impossible movements inside the house.

She said nothing.

Some mysteries…

Were better left untouched.

— “We should name him today,” the father said.

“The elders are already waiting.” The young mother smiled.

“I promised I would wait for you.” The father looked down at the child again.

“I’ve carried one name in my heart for many years.” “If it’s a boy…” “I want him to bear the name of my grandfather.” He paused.

Then spoke softly.

“Aarav.” The baby smiled.

Almost as if he had heard it.

The room fell strangely quiet.

Outside…

A sudden breeze swept through the village.

The wind bells hanging beneath the roof chimed together.

The old midwife slowly turned toward the window.

Something…

Had just changed.

— News of the naming ceremony spread quickly through Eldervale.

By noon, villagers had begun gathering near the village square.

Children laughed as they chased one another between the wooden houses.

The elders prepared the small stone altar that had stood in the center of the village for generations.

For hundreds of years…

Every child born in Eldervale had received a name before that altar.

Today…

No one expected this ceremony to be any different.

— The baby’s father carried him carefully through the village.

His mother walked beside him.

The old midwife followed a few steps behind.

Smiles greeted them from every direction.

“Congratulations!” “A healthy boy!” “May he bring honor to your family.” The father thanked everyone politely.

Yet…

He couldn’t explain why his heart felt unusually heavy.

— The village elder stood beside the altar.

His silver hair danced gently in the afternoon breeze.

He smiled warmly.

“So…” “The newest child of Eldervale has finally arrived.” He looked toward the baby.

“What name has his family chosen?” The father stepped forward proudly.

“My son’s name…” “…will be Aarav.” The elder nodded with satisfaction.

“A fine name.” He raised both hands to begin the traditional blessing.

Suddenly…

The wind stopped.

Every bell hanging around the square became silent.

The elder slowly lowered his hands.

His eyes lifted toward the sky.

“…Strange.” — No clouds covered the sun.

No storm approached.

Yet…

For one impossible heartbeat…

Every shadow in the village disappeared.

Then…

Everything returned exactly as before.

The ceremony continued.

As though nothing unusual had happened.

— The elder gently placed his hand upon the baby’s forehead.

“From this day forward…” “You shall be known as Aarav.” The villagers applauded softly.

The baby’s mother smiled through happy tears.

His father couldn’t hide his pride.

Everything seemed perfect.

Then…

The baby slowly opened his eyes.

At that exact moment…

The ancient stone altar beneath the elder’s feet emitted a faint vibration.

So small…

That only the elder noticed it.

His expression froze.

The altar had stood there longer than anyone could remember.

It had never moved.

Not once.

— The elder quietly removed his hand.

He looked at the child once again.

The baby simply smiled back.

An ordinary smile.

Yet…

Something deep inside the elder whispered…

Nothing about this child was ordinary.

— Far beyond the village…

The mysterious traveler watched from the top of a distant hill.

He could not hear the ceremony.

But he didn’t need to.

The strange compass rested silently in his hand.

For the first time since he had found Eldervale…

Its needle pointed nowhere.

It had become completely still.

The traveler closed his eyes.

“So…” “It has begun.” — As evening approached…

The villagers slowly returned to their homes.

The laughter faded.

The celebration ended.

Life in Eldervale returned to normal.

Or so everyone believed.

— The old village elder remained alone beside the ancient stone altar.

Something continued to trouble him.

He gently placed his hand upon the weathered stone.

It was warm.

His breathing stopped.

For generations…

The altar had always been cold.

Even beneath the hottest summer sun.

Slowly…

He stepped back.

His eyes filled with disbelief.

“…Impossible.” — At the same moment…

Far beyond the mountains…

The old man walking toward Eldervale suddenly stopped.

He looked toward the distant horizon.

The black crystal inside his hand had become brighter than ever before.

Without another word…

He quickened his pace.

— Night fell once again.

Inside the small stone house…

Baby Aarav slept peacefully.

His tiny fingers remained tightly closed.

Outside the window…

A shooting star crossed the night sky.

No one noticed it.

Except…

The mysterious traveler.

He watched the fading light disappear beyond the horizon.

Then quietly whispered, “The countdown has begun.” > The child had finally received a name…

But somewhere beyond the world’s sight…

Something had already begun calling him by another.
