Yu Yanzhuo had sent that bullet comment purely out of a playful mood. However, if Shi Jingyan was truly willing to return, he would not mind spending that small amount of money to welcome him back.

Meanwhile, the live stream’s comment section refreshed rapidly because of his words.

Big Boss’s shocking statement! It seems Big Boss still has not added the streamer on WeChat today. What does Big Boss actually do? Why is he so powerful? Same request for the previous streamer’s return! In front of the camera, the male streamer showed a conflicted expression. He turned his head to exchange a few words with the staff behind him, seemingly hesitating over whether he should disclose this information. Finally, the assistant whispered, “You continue for now. I will go report this to President Shi.”

Just as they had suspected last time, this viewer’s identity was definitely not simple, and a thousand orders was certainly no small sum. The assistant quickly left the live-streaming room, went upstairs to the executive office, and knocked on the door.

Perhaps it was a coincidence, but Shi Jingyan had stayed at the company tonight to handle work and had not yet returned home. Shi Jingyan’s usual calm and cold voice came from inside, telling him to enter. The assistant adjusted his expression and walked in, truthfully relaying what had just happened in the live stream to Shi Jingyan.

“Based on the previous situation, that viewer is not just talking big; he is likely serious. Moreover, he indeed has the financial strength.”

After the assistant finished speaking, he stared at Shi Jingyan’s expression somewhat nervously. Regardless, asking the boss to personally host a live stream felt a bit strange. In fact, there were precedents of bosses personally entering the fray, and some were even praised for increasing brand trust because of it. However, this contradicted their original arrangements.

Shi Jingyan listened to the assistant’s words expressionlessly and opened his phone to enter the live stream. The comments in the room were heatedly discussing what that person had said. That person had not sent another message after that sentence, as if they had just said something in passing, or as if they were waiting for him to actually go back and take over the stream as requested.

Shi Jingyan stared at the screen for a moment, then looked up at the assistant. “Mhm, I understand.”

The assistant froze. What did “I understand” mean? Was President Shi really going back there? Shi Jingyan lowered his eyes and clicked on the avatar at the very top of the live stream’s gift leaderboard.

“Brother Yan, what are you looking at so intently?”

During the interval of a red light, Ling Lu turned her head to say a few words to Yu Yanzhuo, only to see him leaning to one side with his chin resting on his hand. His eyes were fixed on his phone screen as if he were waiting for something. She glanced at his screen; he seemed to be watching a live stream. And it was an e-commerce stream at that.

Did Brother Yan have this kind of interest?

“What is so special about this live stream?”

Ling Lu leaned closer. The male streamer in the center of the screen was decent-looking, but he was only “decent.” He did not look like the type Brother Yan would like.

Yu Yanzhuo glanced at her. “Right now, there is indeed nothing special about it.”

The light turned green at that moment. Ling Lu shifted her gaze back to the road ahead. Honestly, he was speaking in riddles again. Seeing that Ling Lu did not press further, Yu Yanzhuo returned his gaze to the screen. About ten minutes had passed since he sent that message, and the one on screen was still that same male streamer.

Shi Jingyan did not seem to intend to return. It made sense. Although a thousand orders indeed counted as a major client, if the boss came running eagerly just because of a viewer’s comment, others would likely have different ideas. Yu Yanzhuo could understand it, but he did not intend to accept it.

In the eyes of outsiders, Yu Yanzhuo had a very good temper; this was a consensus within their circle. Compared to those young masters and mistresses who would fly into a rage because a waiter was clumsy or had a dissatisfactory attitude, he was a rather unique existence.

He had never lost his temper with anyone, even though, given his family background and status, he had more than enough leeway to make any random “Second Generation” crawl out in front of the crowd. That exquisite face always wore a shallow smile capable of bewitching hearts. His golden eyes were filled with affection; he looked even at a dog with deep sentiment. Even when a reckless waiter once spilled wine on him, he had comforted the young man, who was already shaking with panic, without showing a hint of anger.

But that was not everything.

Hand in hand with his well-known “good temper” was the fact that Young Master Yu’s playful nature was exceptionally heavy. He once called Huan Lian at three in the morning just because he wanted to go drag racing in the middle of the night, bringing along others as well, even if someone was currently attending a late-night party they could not leave, or was resting early for an important meeting the next morning.

Yu Yanzhuo did not force them to come; he would just smile lazily and express his understanding, saying it was too late and they did not have to come. But the consequence everyone knew was that, afterward, Yu Yanzhuo would likely no longer have any interest in interacting with such people. Because they could not satisfy his spur-of-the-moment whims, they were too boring.

At the Sotheby’s New York Spring Auction a year ago, the most eye-catching Northern Song Dynasty Ru Kiln Sky-Blue Glazed Washer was bought by Yu Yanzhuo for an astronomical price. The incident was sparked simply because an upstart in the circle had loudly proclaimed his determination to get this item before the bidding started.

He himself had no interest in porcelain or similar collectibles; he only became interested after seeing that upstart’s expression. He followed him the entire time, raising his paddle to bid slightly higher, until the price was several times the estimate. Even for the sake of his pride, that person could no longer endure and had to give up. After the auction ended, however, Yu Yanzhuo walked up to him with a lazy, playful expression and a smiling tone, casually gifting that priceless piece of porcelain directly to the man.

After all, he had no interest in porcelain anyway. Since then, the wealthy youths in the circle who had heard the rumors became clear on one thing: Yu Yanzhuo indeed had a good temper, but he was also extremely capricious and wicked, someone they absolutely could not afford to offend.

And at this moment, Yu Yanzhuo had been brushed off by Shi Jingyan like this. Perhaps in their eyes, he was merely a deep-pocketed viewer. If Shi Jingyan did not come out to stream, there seemed to be no point in continuing to watch this boring live-streaming room. Perhaps there was no point in it continuing to exist?

As he pondered, his gaze fell unconsciously on the screen, only to see a dialogue box pop up at the top. He raised an eyebrow and clicked in.

“Hello, thank you again for your support of our brand. I am the substitute streamer from that day. I am very sorry that due to my busy personal schedule and lack of professionalism, I cannot appear in the live room as a long-term streamer. We hope for your understanding.”

It was a message from Shi Jingyan. He did not state his identity, likely assuming Yu Yanzhuo did not know who he actually was.

“We are deeply honored by your support of our brand. If you are interested in our products, you can contact us; we will provide you with more detailed service and close-range offline explanations. If you have any opinions or suggestions, you are also welcome to raise them.”

Offline? The corners of Yu Yanzhuo’s lips curled up slightly. If they actually met offline, Shi Jingyan would likely have to change his attitude and expression again.

“Streamer, add me on WeChat”: “What if I want to see you in the live room?”

The message was quickly marked as read, but no reply came back. Yu Yanzhuo guessed that Shi Jingyan was likely stunned.

“Streamer, add me on WeChat”: “I do not have much interest in your products, but if you are the one explaining them, I am very interested.”

“Streamer, add me on WeChat”: “How about this? You set aside one hour a week to substitute as a streamer, and I can consider contacting your company for business cooperation.”

After a while, the “typing” status finally jumped up above the other person’s head.

“Your suggestion, I will relay to the person in charge. The specific details still need to be discussed, and we will get back to you later. Thank you very much.”

It was a very business-like response. Yu Yanzhuo chuckled and put down his phone. He would just wait and see, then.
