[Ding! Congratulations, Host! You have completed a task and earned 600 villain points, along with two lottery draws. Additionally, since your actions significantly altered the storyline, you’ve been rewarded with +20 charm points.]

The system announced, interrupting Yang Lu’s thoughts.

Yang Lu was more interested in this extra reward than in the villain points or lottery draws. Who knew altering the plot could bring him additional bonuses? This was a major benefit for him since his very existence was a shift from the original plot! But it seemed only big changes would yield these rewards; otherwise, he would have received more for the smaller alterations he’d made earlier.Full novel: The Villain Who Slapped the Heroines Until They Begged to Marry Him — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Regardless, this was good news. The upcoming birthday banquet was likely to be another major plot event.

“Alright, system, draw the lottery!” Yang Lu focused on the lottery, confident the system would not disappoint him.

[Ding! Congratulations, Host! You’ve won the Intelligence Reduction skill. This skill can only be used on the protagonist and lasts five minutes.]

Yang Lu chuckled at this.

In the novels he’d read, the protagonist often seemed surrounded by people with zero intelligence. Now, with this skill, he could reduce the protagonist’s intelligence to match that level, even if only for a short time. It was a shame the skill only lasted five minutes and could only be used once a day, but at least it didn’t require any villain points, unlike the Kneel command, which cost him hundreds each time.

[Ding! Congratulations, Host! You have obtained the second of six pieces of a special item. Keep it up!]

“Hmm, another fragment of this special item? I’m really curious what this item is. System, can you give me a hint?” Yang Lu asked.

[If Host consumes 1,000 villain points, the system can provide a clue.] This chapter is updated first at g.com.

“Forget it!” Yang Lu quickly dismissed the idea. Spending 1,000 villain points just to learn the name of the item? That was ridiculous. His points weren’t infinite, and even if they were, he wouldn’t waste them on something like that.

“Young Master, we’ve arrived at the Public Hospital,” his driver announced.

“Good.” Yang Lu stepped out and headed into the hospital, with his driver-bodyguard following close behind.

In the critical care ward, a young woman in her early twenties, her face pale and exhausted, was desperately gripping the arm of a bald doctor in a white coat.

“Please, Director, you have to give my brother the medicine. He won’t last long without it,” Song Weiwei begged. Her brother needed daily medication to survive, and without it, he wouldn’t hold out for much longer.

The doctor shook her off in annoyance. “You want the medication? Then come up with the money!”

At the mention of money, Song Weiwei’s face turned pale. “Money…” Money was exactly what her family lacked right now.

“No money? Then stop wasting my time. If you don’t pay by this afternoon, we’ll discharge him. This hospital is not a charity.” The doctor sneered, clearly irritated. He seemed disgusted by her desperation.

Song Weiwei felt helpless as she watched him turn to leave. Her eyes filled with despair. Was there really no hope for her brother? The nurses who witnessed the scene exchanged sympathetic glances, but they knew they couldn’t help. The treatment her brother needed was costly, and compassion alone wouldn’t cover the expenses.

Just then, two men blocked the doctor’s path.

Smack!

One of Yang Lu’s bodyguards slapped the doctor, sending a tooth flying. The onlookers were stunned, wondering what was going on.

Song Weiwei felt a surge of satisfaction. That director was nothing but a scumbag, and now he was finally getting what he deserved.

“You… You dare hit me?” the director stammered.

“What’s going on here?” A voice called out. The hospital director, accompanied by several others, approached. Seeing him, the bald doctor rushed over, ready to complain.

“Director, you’re just in time! This man is causing trouble. You have to help me!” He pleaded, as if the hospital director were his savior.

The director looked at Yang Lu and coldly asked, “Who are you to be causing such a scene here?”

Before Yang Lu could reply, his bodyguard spoke up, his tone filled with disdain. “This is Young Master Yang Lu of the Yang Group—your hospital’s largest shareholder.”

The director’s face paled as he realized they had made a serious mistake, and the bald doctor took a horrified step back. It seemed they hadn’t grasped just who they had been dealing with.
