Xi Leyao looked at her, thought for a moment, and said, “Then give me a kiss.”

Huh?

Song Jinhe’s eyes instantly lit up—this was his request, after all.

She immediately reached out, wrapped her arms around Xi Leyao’s neck, and pressed her lips directly against his thin ones.

Song Jinhe was a bold girl; she imitated techniques from videos and stuck out her tongue.

Xi Leyao had thought she would let go after the kiss, never expecting her to take the next step.

But he only paused for a moment before wrapping his arms around Song Jinhe and reclaiming the initiative.

“I’ll work hard to earn money,” Xi Leyao responded, then lowered his head to capture Song Jinhe’s tender red lips.

Afterward, Xi Leyao carried her to the bathroom to wash up. Once everything was tidied, Song Jinhe lay on the bed, her eyelids too heavy to lift.

Xi Leyao stood by the bed, adjusting the fan to blow directly at Song Jinhe.

Only after doing this did he lie down, wrap his arm around her waist, and close his eyes contentedly.

Song Jinhe didn’t wake until half past twelve the next day. Sitting up in bed, she felt nothing but aches and pains all over.

“Dog man,” Song Jinhe muttered, rubbing her waist, though the corners of her mouth were turned upward.

Not bad at all.

[Host, you… this isn’t right,] the System spoke up cautiously at this moment.

[You should go find those wealthy men and solidify your gold-digging, materialistic persona.]

Instead of fooling around with the male lead—this is just outrageous.

But Song Jinhe ignored it. Why look for other men when the one at home was perfectly fine?

She got out of bed, washed up, and sat at the dining table. The rice cooker had been kept warm, and when she opened it, she found glutinous rice chicken and shumai—her favorites these past few days.

There were also two boiled eggs.

A bottle of yogurt sat nearby.

Song Jinhe was lactose intolerant and would get diarrhea every time she drank regular milk. After Xi Leyao noticed, he stopped buying it.

She reached for a shumai and took a bite—delicious.

After eating, Song Jinhe sipped her yogurt while scrolling through her phone. The manager of Blue Sky Bar had sent a lot of messages.

A red circle with “99+” made Song Jinhe raise an eyebrow. Why was this manager sending her so many messages?

After reading through them, Song Jinhe came to one conclusion.

He wanted her to come to the bar—some rich second-generation heir wanted to meet her.

If she could win over that rich kid, she wouldn’t have to suffer with Xi Leyao anymore.

The manager even pushed over the rich kid’s WeChat—three of them, in fact.

This manager had been quiet for so many days; why was he bothering her again today?

How strange.

Song Jinhe ignored it, exited WeChat, and started scrolling through videos.

Just as she was getting into it, a friend request popped up on WeChat.

She glanced at it, and her eyes lit up.

The God of Wealth had come knocking on her door!

After accepting, Song Jinhe immediately sent a message.

[Song Jinhe: Hello.]

Soon, “The other party is typing…” appeared. Song Jinhe was thrilled—another side gig was on the way.

The other side quickly stated their needs and requirements, then asked about the price.

Song Jinhe quoted based on their requirements and duration. Since the video they wanted edited was quite long, it would take more time.

She directly quoted 800 yuan. If they agreed, she’d start working right away. If not, it just meant they weren’t meant to work together.

To my surprise, the other party agreed directly and with great enthusiasm.

This made Song Jinhe even more excited.

Hahaha, I’m going to make money!

Song Jinhe lay on the sofa, using a cushion to support her back as she got to work.

Xi Leyao returned unusually early today, carrying large and small bags filled with meat, vegetables, and various seasonings.

“You’re back so early today?” Song Jinhe looked at him and asked.

“Are you planning to give up on making money?”

Xi Leyao shook his head, took out a small cake he was holding, and placed it beside her.

“I remember you like cakes from this shop.”

Song Jinhe glanced at the time—it was only half past one in the afternoon. He had returned so quickly.

She opened the cake and took a bite. The taste was truly delightful—not overly sweet, with a rich milky aroma and a hint of fruity sweetness.

Halfway through eating, she noticed Xi Leyao preparing ingredients and finally realized he intended to set up a stall.

This man’s efficiency was truly impressive.

She had thought it would take a few more days before they officially started selling.

“How many dishes are you planning to make?” Song Jinhe stopped eating her cake, walked over to him, and whispered.

“Just five dishes. Time is tight, so I can’t make too many,” Xi Leyao replied, glancing at the ingredients in front of him.

“Do you need my help?” Song Jinhe nodded.

“No need. Go enjoy your cake,” Xi Leyao declined.

With nothing else to do, Song Jinhe sat at the dining table, working on her videos while eating her cake.

However, Song Jinhe couldn’t bring herself to let Xi Leyao handle everything while she did nothing.

Like a little shadow, she followed behind Xi Leyao, helping wherever needed.

Cooking rice, preparing ingredients, and stir-frying took time. Even though Xi Leyao was quick, it was already half past five by the time all the dishes were ready.

After loading everything onto the tricycle, Song Jinhe smiled and said, “I’ll go with you.”

Before Xi Leyao could suggest she rest at the rental apartment, Song Jinhe had already taken the initiative to sit in the driver’s seat.

“Let’s go quickly. If we don’t hurry, we won’t be able to sell anything,” Song Jinhe waved at him and called out.

Seeing her like this, Xi Leyao couldn’t help but smile.

They drove the tricycle to the construction site, where workers were gradually finishing their shifts.

Several other tricycles selling fast food were parked nearby, each with long lines of customers in front.

Song Jinhe got off the tricycle and helped Xi Leyao set up the tables and chairs.

Once everything was ready, Xi Leyao placed a price list he had prepared earlier nearby.

Someone noticed it was a new stall and walked over to take a look, asking, “Just selling these few dishes?”

“This is our first time setting up a stall. We didn’t have enough time to prepare many dishes,” Song Jinhe replied with a smile.
