“Brother, can you let me have this blue buff?”

Song Jinhe leaned close to her phone, pitching her voice even sweeter.

On the screen, the jungler who had been attacking the blue buff immediately stopped upon hearing this.Full novel: The Villainess is Acting Up Again? The Bankrupt Tycoon Dotes on Her — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Seeing this, Song Jinhe quickly maneuvered her character to take the blue buff. After securing it, she immediately pressed the microphone button and spoke in that same sugary tone.

“Thank you, jungler brother, for giving me the blue.”

“Love you.”

Xi Leyao heard every word of these two sentences, his dark gaze fixed on Song Jinhe from behind.

He stood at the doorway without saying a word, just watching quietly.

Song Jinhe felt a gaze on her. After finishing the team fight, she glanced toward the door and saw Xi Leyao standing there with a dark expression.

“You’re back?” Song Jinhe asked casually.

Xi Leyao placed the things in his hands on the dining table one by one, walked over to Song Jinhe, reached out to take her phone, then pinched her chin and stared at her as he slowly spoke.

“Song Jinhe, you’re calling other men ‘brother’ behind my back?”

“Is the word ‘love’ something you can say so casually and easily?”

Song Jinhe felt her chin aching terribly. She slapped his hand away forcefully and glared at him, questioning, “What’s wrong with you?”

“You get angry just because I’m playing a game? Are you hitting menopause?”

“Instead of being so suspicious, why don’t you go make more money?”

As she spoke, she pushed him away with her hand and reached for her phone. Luckily, they won this promotion match.

Xi Leyao just stood there, quietly watching her. After who knows how long, he finally asked, “You only care about money?”

“It’s money—who doesn’t care?” Song Jinhe collected her rewards and glanced at the time, realizing it was already 8 p.m.

No wonder this man was home.

“Hurry up and cook. I’m hungry.” Song Jinhe now ordered this man around without the slightest hint of guilt.

Xi Leyao didn’t leave. Instead, he cupped Song Jinhe’s head with one hand and pressed his lips against hers in a kiss.

Song Jinhe’s incessantly chattering mouth fell completely silent at that moment. Xi Leyao skillfully parted her lips and kissed her.

Song Jinhe’s eyes widened, a look of shock on her face.

He was kissing her!

When the kiss ended, Xi Leyao released her, his gaze fixed intently on her as he said, “Song Jinhe, from now on, you are not allowed to call other men ‘brother,’ nor are you allowed to say ‘love you’ to any other man.”

“If I hear it again, I’ll make you understand how to write the word ‘regret.'”

Song Jinhe wiped her swollen lips and glared at him fiercely, shouting, “Get out!”

“Go cook!”

Xi Leyao grabbed her foot, his expression still impassive as he asked, “Understood?”

With her foot caught, Song Jinhe tried to pull it back but found her ankle tightly gripped in his hand, which only made her angrier.

“Let go of my foot! Go cook!” Song Jinhe struggled to free her foot as she yelled.

Xi Leyao said nothing and didn’t move, just watching her quietly.

Finally, Song Jinhe sighed helplessly and said, “I understand. Now get out.”

“Then kiss me.” Xi Leyao pushed his luck.

Song Jinhe was utterly furious. She kicked him in the chest with her other foot, her delicate and beautiful face contorted with anger.

Though her expression was one of anger, to Xi Leyao, it appeared radiant and captivating.

“Don’t think that just because it’s legal, you can do whatever you want. Want me to kiss you? Dream on!” Song Jinhe shouted.

Just as Song Jinhe was about to unleash her fury and make this man understand that she was the boss of this household, he immediately released her ankle, stood up, and said, “I’ll go cook.”

“The milk tea and flowers are on the table, and the cake will be delivered later.”

Xi Leyao seemed to be talking more today, perhaps because he was provoked.

He was also afraid that while working, he might suddenly receive a call from Song Jinhe asking for a divorce.

Song Jinhe sat up straight, watching his retreating figure with tightly furrowed brows.

This man seemed different today.

In the past, whenever he returned, he was like a silent gourd, unwilling to say anything, just quietly going about his tasks.

Glancing at the milk tea he had bought—strawberry mochi, her favorite—Song Jinhe clicked her tongue, her mind drifting back to the scene of their kiss just moments ago.

This man’s lips were surprisingly soft.

And his kissing skills were quite impressive—seemed like he’d had plenty of practice.

At least she had finally gotten a taste of something.

Song Jinhe’s gaze fell on his waist, wondering if it would be thrilling to see it in motion.

Tsk, if only he could dance a hip-swaying routine for her.

[Ding-dong—]

WeChat vibrated again. Song Jinhe exited the video and opened it to find another friend request.

Another stranger.

Who on earth kept trying to add her?

Could it be that she had a treasure map hidden on her?

To uncover the other person’s intentions, Song Jinhe tapped “Accept.”

As soon as she accepted, two voice messages immediately came through.

Song Jinhe glanced at them and tapped to play, but she was so used to being unrestrained at home.

The voice message played aloud, its volume loud enough for both people in the room to hear every word clearly.

[Blue Sky: Sister, you must be bored all alone at home. Would you like to learn about our door-to-door service?]

[Blue Sky: Innocent and fiery, aloof male god, cute puppy, wild wolf, restrained CEO—we have them all here.]

Song Jinhe paused mid-sip of her milk tea, and even Xi Leyao, who was washing meat at the sink, stopped what he was doing.

Just then, WeChat dinged again.

Song Jinhe hurriedly turned off her phone, looking particularly guilty as she whispered to Xi Leyao, “Don’t get the wrong idea. I’m not planning to cheat on you.”

“So you were planning to cheat on me?” Xi Leyao turned to look at her, asking with a forced smile.

“Ahem—” Song Jinhe quickly coughed and said, “What nonsense are you thinking? If I wanted to cheat on you, would I wait until now? There are plenty of men waiting for me to reach out.”

Xi Leyao looked at her, swallowing the words he wanted to say and letting out a sigh instead.

His wife was too beautiful, but her mind was too restless. Without money, things really wouldn’t work.

Once the steak was cooked, the ordered cake arrived.

Xi Leyao opened the door to retrieve the cake and placed it on the dining table. Song Jinhe immediately opened it.

Let’s see what this cake, which cost at least a thousand yuan, looked like.

Layer by layer, the packaging was peeled away, revealing a pure white swan-shaped cake inside.

A faint scent of cream wafted over, and Song Jinhe sniffed appreciatively.

The cream smelled wonderful. This thousand yuan was definitely well spent.

She set up the camera and handed it to Xi Leyao. “Help me take a photo.”

Song Jinhe held the cake, with a large bouquet of flowers beside her. The milk tea, half-finished, was discarded nearby.

Facing the camera, the corners of her lips lifted, revealing a bright smile.
