The Great Demon King was a newcomer to this world.

She had absolutely no understanding of human romance, nor did she know what marriage entailed or what was required of it.

She only knew that when two people were together, everything was shared.Full novel: The Villainess Refuses the Scripts — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Take Mr.

and Mrs.

Jacobs, for example; their property was jointly owned.

If she took him as a husband, she could get the company without having to split it in half.

How perfect!

Yet she was completely unaware of the kind of shock her naive words would bring to others!

Especially to the person standing right in front of her.

The system was utterly astounded!

Its limited-capacity little brain was screaming “holy shit” in disbelief.

As expected of the reckless Great Demon King!

What kind of wild talk was this?!

To prevent her from slitting her own throat out of shame once she recovered her memories of the main world, the system kindly reminded her, “Host, this is your brother!”

“He’s not related by blood!” Juno retorted righteously.

The morals and values of this world were nothing but bullshit to her!

Even though she didn’t have her memories of the main world, Juno firmly believed that since she was going to be a human, she absolutely couldn’t allow herself to be at a disadvantage!

But seeing the sudden turbulent emotions in the man’s eyes and how his breathing seemed to hitch, she reconsidered.

It seemed that in this world, women were supposed to marry men.

“Otherwise…

Anyway, this ten billion dollars…”

Before she had time to finish, the man turned around and walked away swiftly.

Juno stood stunned at the door, her head full of question marks.

“If you don’t want to get married, then don’t.

Why won’t you even give me the company anymore?”

She closed the door unhappily, completely missing how red the tips of the man’s ears had become the moment he turned around, let alone knowing what kind of mood he was in.

Juno just tapped her little head, feeling a bit upset.

She thought, “Damn it!

I finally thought of the perfect way to make money, and it just inexplicably fell through?”

The system choked speechlessly.

It thought, “Is that really inexplicable?

Such wild talk would scare off any normal person!

Let alone him…”

That night, Juno tossed and turned, unable to sleep well at all.

It wasn’t because her marriage proposal had failed, but because she was agonizing over how to make a ton of cash.

However, she had worried all night for nothing.

Early the next morning, there was a knock on her door.

The young girl opened it, her hair a messy bird’s nest and her eyes heavy with sleep.

“Get dressed.” Jayden leaned against the doorframe, his arms crossed over his chest, a suit jacket that matched his pants draped casually over his arm.

Juno didn’t know if she was just too smart or if her sixth sense was too accurate, but her half-asleep eyes suddenly lit up.

“Are you giving Zenith Entertainment to me?”

“Everything in the Jacobs Family is yours,” Jayden said, his tone gentle and his amber eyes clear.

It seemed that as long as she asked, he was willing to give her anything.

The young girl was ecstatic.

Standing on her tiptoes, she wanted to plant a kiss right on that handsome face that was looking more and more pleasing to her eyes!

But the moment she met his gaze, she instantly sobered up, shocked by her own strange impulse!

With a loud BAM, she slammed the door shut. This story is hosted at g.com.

Jayden, who had been leaning against the doorframe, was hit squarely in the face.

Ten minutes later, Juno rapidly finished brushing her teeth, washing up, and changing clothes.

As soon as she opened the door, she was greeted by the sight of a dark-faced man—and his suspiciously red nose.

“What’s wrong with your nose?”

Walking ahead of her, Jayden suddenly paused his steps and let out a deep breath.

“Go say hi to Mom.”

After saying that, he left.

He seemed to have left in a huff?

Juno’s head was full of question marks again.

She only had one thought in her mind, “Men are truly difficult creatures!

Especially Jayden!”

Next to Juno’s room was Mandy Lawson and Derek Jacobs’s bedroom.

It was specially arranged this way.

Mandy wished she could just have Juno sleep in her own room, but her daughter was grown up now, and with her husband there, it was inconvenient.

So she had moved the room the original owner lived in on the third floor before she went missing down to the second floor, right next to hers.

Knowing her daughter was going to the company, Mandy was very reluctant to let her go.

After all, with the Jacobs Family’s wealth, even if Juno did absolutely nothing and just rolled in piles of money while eating and drinking to her heart’s content for the rest of her life, it would be more than enough.

But Juno insisted, and Mandy couldn’t bear to stop her, so she yielded.

She even specifically instructed her husband and son that no matter what their daughter needed, they must fully support her!

She had even shoved her entire private stash of savings, accumulated over many years, into Juno’s hands.

The mission progress, which originally had 99.7% remaining, instantly dropped to 93% because of this single gesture.

It showed just how many dollars were loaded onto those cards Mandy had given her…
