Ren stood on the rooftop, Jowy clutched tightly in his arms, the city lights glittering far below. She was thrashing wildly against him, elbows and knees digging into his suit.

"Put me down right fucking now, or I swear to God..." she snarled, voice raw with fury.

"We don’t have time for this." Ren tried to keep his grip steady, muscles straining under the suit. He wanted to launch, to jump to the next building, but her constant struggling made balancing impossible.Full novel: The Villain's Broadcast: A Harem of Heroines and Villainesses. — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

[VillainEater: what does this dumb bitch think she’s doing??]

[bro just leave her on the roof and BOUNCE]

[loving every second. she’s fine though. the legs man]

[Bonker205: that girl is gonna get you killed Glitch. drop her]

The chat flooded in. Ren exhaled sharply and set Jowy down, letting her find her own feet on the concrete rooftop.

"Where the hell are you taking me?" She shoved him hard in the chest. He didn’t budge. Then her eyes ran over the black-and-gold costume, and realization hit. "Glitch."

"Ma’am." His voice was edged with impatience. "We need to go."

『If this wasn’t the objective, I’d leave you right here. I don’t have the energy for people who won’t use their brain. 』

[bro is FRUSTRATED 😄😄]

[beauty, zero brains]

Bright spotlights from the news helicopters suddenly swept over them, pinning the pair in white light. The choppers had finally found them.

Ren grabbed Jowy’s hand and pulled her into a sprint across the rooftop.

"Stupid content creator," she spat, still running beside him. "You just wanted fresh content for your little army of idiots and figured—"

She stopped mid-sentence. They had reached the edge of the building.

The police chopper rose into view, rotors thumping loudly. A masked man had stepped between the law, and there was no version of this where he walked away — not with the whole world watching.

"What are we doing?" Jowy asked, every spotlight now locked on them, wind whipping her hair. "I’d rather go to prison than die with some fool who thinks everything’s about content."

Ren looked at her.

『You’re really pushing it. 』

He grabbed her firmly by the ass, lifting her. "Trust me. We’re not dying tonight."

Jowy wrapped her legs tightly around his waist and locked her arms around his neck. Without another word, Ren stepped off the edge.

They plunged toward the ground. Jowy screamed, clinging desperately to him as the street rushed up to meet them, wind roaring past.

[Well, Well, Well. WHAT did Glitch just do]

[that was his last broadcast fellas]

[this is a literal movie. I cannot do a single day without Glitch]

[GlitchObsessed: the way he grabbed her might have half of us planning bank robberies for one Glitch touch]

[Freelancer008: @GlitchObsessed you’re unwell and I love it 😂😂]

The police chopper scrambled to track them. At the last second, Ren slammed the anti-gravity button. Their fall stopped dead in mid-air. He planted his feet against the side of the bank building, bracing Jowy securely against him, then fired the force thrusters.

They rocketed off the wall like a launched missile, cutting through the night sky toward the next building in a sharp, powerful arc.

[VillainEater has donated $1,000]

[GlitchObsessed has donated $500]

[NewGlitchFan has donated $6,000]

Ren caught the massive final donation as the rest poured in alongside the comments. Jowy was still clinging tightly to him, breathing hard against his chest, her legs locked around his waist.

『Who drops six thousand dollars? This is insane. 』

The system pinged in his ear.

[Viewers: 405K]

[Points tonight: 5,000]

[Donations so far: $20,557]

[The chopper has lost your position, but the authorities are now monitoring the broadcast itself. Your safety requires ending the live. Give your closing remarks.]

"Chat," Ren said, steadying himself on the rooftop edge with Jowy still wrapped around him. "Good ride tonight. We’ll link up again soon." He signed off.

The stream ended.

[NO we still had action left 😭]

[bro’s about to get laid on a rooftop. lucky bastard]

[GlitchObsessed: you people are clueless. the police were tracking him. they could’ve used the live to find him.]

The chat kept moving even after Glitch went dark.

[he’s nothing special honestly. content creation, that’s all it is]

[says the fat dude typing this from his mom’s basement]

***

Ren and Jowy sat at the edge of another rooftop, both disguised, legs dangling over the dizzying drop. Far below, cars crawled like slow-moving lights through the dark streets, distant sirens still wailing.

"It’s settled now," Ren said. "I should drop you somewhere on the street."

"Sure." Jowy didn’t fight it. "But you still haven’t told me why you saved me."

"No reason." He was tired of the rooftop, tired of the whole arrangement.

『Hope Izzy’s okay. 』

"So you don’t want anything from me for it?" Jowy asked, leaning in closer, clearly intrigued by the rescue. "Because I could pay you right here. Top of this building. I promise it’s fun."

"Let’s go," Ren said, standing.

"At least give me a name. One name." She tilted her head, blue eyes glinting above her bandana. "You never know. I might return the favor someday."

He stood. "We need to move. It’s late."

"Late?" Jowy laughed, still seated, legs swinging playfully over the edge. "You sound like you’ve got a curfew. You still live with your parents? At your mom’s place?" She finally got up, drifting back from the edge.

"No." Ren’s real voice slipped out, sharper than intended.

"Are you some sort of a teen?"

"No." Too fast. Too defensive. "Why would you even think that?"

She closed the distance between them, a sly smile visible in her eyes. "No reason. My legs are cold, though. Want to warm them up?"

"No." He stepped in to carry her down.

『You’re insane. Who robs a bank in a skirt this short. What if—』

Jowy was already holding on tight. "For the record, my name’s Jowy Lana. In case you don’t want this to be the last time, Mr. Glitch."

"Good for you." Ren answered as he took hold of her.

『I don’t want to see you again. You started out crazy and you’ve only gotten worse. Who acts like this?』

Jowy pressed a small magnet tracker against the back of his suit while he wasn’t looking.

Ren dropped off the edge, angling for a clear street below. They’d been up there for three hours.

『Drop you off. Last time we ever meet. 』
