The morning sun filtered softly through the intricate canopy leaves, casting warm, dappled golden patterns across the beautifully sculpted wooden walls of the guest lounge inside the Canopy Sanctuary.
Raizael lay relaxed on the soft, plush bedding, his messy ink-black hair splayed across the pillows as he slept with absolute, quiet composure. The heavy silk of his dark crimson royal robes was slightly loose, exposing his sharp collarbones and pale alabaster skin to the cool morning air.
The sound of soft, hesitant footsteps clicked against the wooden floorboards as Princess Sylphiri stepped into the room. She was fully dressed in her emerald-green silk dress, her eyes looking at his peaceful face with a mixture of fondness and urgency. Her long, pointed elven ears twitched softly as she walked up to the edge of the mattress, leaning down over him.
"Raizael... wake up," Sylphiri whispered softly, her fingers gently brushing a loose strand of black hair away from his forehead. "The sun is already rising over the treetops. If we do not mobilize the vanguard units soon, we will be severely delayed on our march to the borders. Raizael...?"
Before she could even finish her sentence, Raizael’s crimson eyes cracked open slightly, flashing with a lazy, sudden amusement. With fluid, lightning-fast reflexes, his long, pale arm shot out from beneath the sheets, wrapping firmly around her narrow, snatched waist.
"Ah—!" Sylphiri let out a soft, startled gasp as he effortlessly pulled her down.
Raizael buried his face slightly against her neck, his deep baritone voice a low, inaudible murmur that vibrated right against her skin, sending a violent shiver down her spine. Sylphiri’s entire face instantly flushed a brilliant, explosive pink shade. Her heart began to pound frantically against her ribs as she reflexively placed her hands against his broad chest, trying to push herself away from his firm hold.
"R-Raizael, stop it! Someone might walk in!" she stammered, her voice a breathless, flustered whisper as her ears blushed deep crimson. "Let me go, we truly have to leave..."
Instead of releasing her, Raizael simply tightened his grip around her waist, effortlessly pulling her hyper-voluptuous body completely onto the bed, trapping her securely flush against his chest as he closed his eyes to sleep for just a few moments longer. Sylphiri struggled weakly for another second, but as his steady warmth completely enveloped her, her resistance completely melted away. She calmed down, letting her body go soft against his muscular frame. Looking up at his handsome, peacefully sleeping face, a tender smile broke across her lips, and she softly leaned up, planting a gentle, affectionate kiss directly onto his pale cheek.

Meanwhile, on the lower levels of the central world tree, a completely different, high-tension conversation was unfolding inside a secluded, heavily guarded chamber.
Mireya stood before the ancient tribal shaman, her hands tightly twisting the fabric of her cloak as she spoke to the Elder in hushed, trembling tones. The details of her midnight prophecy—the blinding golden chains and the mysterious pink-haired woman screaming Raizael's name, hung heavily in the quiet room.
The Elder stood entirely still, leaning heavily on her wooden staff as she listened patiently to the vision. Her weathered face wrinkled with deep, somber contemplation, her eyes tracking the shifting patterns of the forest shadows outside.
"If that is truly the case... if the threads of his destiny are tied to a tragedy of that magnitude," the Elder spoke, her ancient voice cracking with absolute gravity, "then you must go with them, Mireya."
Mireya’s golden eyes widened in absolute shock and panicked worry, her breath hitching in her throat. "What?! Elder, I... I cannot leave the village like this! My duty is here, protecting our borders and keeping Kaelia out of trouble! How can I just abandon our people to follow a demon prince into a war zone?!"
"You must go, child, and you must be there by his side for the sake of the future," the Elder countered firmly, her tone leaving zero room for argument. "Your shamanistic blood was chosen to see that fire for a reason. If you do not guide his path, the flames in your vision will swallow us all."
"But Elder—" Mireya started, her voice desperate.
"She’s right. You should go," a sharp, familiar voice cut through the chamber.
Mireya and the Elder rapidly whirled around to see Kaelia standing firmly at the threshold of the wooden doorway. The hyper-confident younger sister was leaning heavily against the doorframe for support, a tight bandage wrapped beneath her leather armor to soothe her fractured back from yesterday’s gravity crush. Her golden eyes were completely serious, devoid of her usual arrogance as she looked at her older sister.
"Kaelia... you're supposed to be resting," Mireya whispered.
"I'm fine," Kaelia grunted, crossing her arms stubbornly. "Go with the Regent, Mireya. The Elder and I will take absolute, flawless care of the village while you're away. You don't need to worry about a single thing here."
The Elder gave a slow, approving nod, but she raised a warning finger toward Mireya. "However, listen to me carefully. Prince Raizael absolutely cannot know the real reason why you are traveling with him. The weights of prophecy must remain hidden from his ears. We will tell him the truth only when the time is right. Do you understand?"
Mireya swallowed the lump of anxiety in her throat, looking between her sister and the shaman before delivering a heavy, submissive nod. "I understand, Elder."
Just then, the heavy wooden doors of the central hall creaked open. Raizael, Commander Karon, and a beautifully composed Sylphiri walked into the clearing to officially say their goodbyes to the Serpentine leadership before mounting their steeds.
"Ah, Sovereign Regent! You are awake," the Elder greeted smoothly, a warm, hospitality-filled smile instantly replacing her previous severity. "It was an absolute honor hosting your vanguard. Please, ensure you visit our Canopy Sanctuary more often in the future. Furthermore... I have a final diplomatic request to make before you depart."
Raizael raised a brow, his realistic, toned-down crimson eyes tracking the old shaman. "Speak, Elder."
"I wish for Mireya to accompany your party on this deployment," the Elder requested smoothly, gesturing to the shy older sister. "She is intimately familiar with the outermost border terrains. She can guide your vanguard through a highly secret, untracked Serpent Kin passage that leads directly to the Elyrian kingdom."
Raizael’s lips curled into a subtle, highly satisfied smirk. "A secret passage that bypasses the outer nets? That is an exceptionally valuable asset, Elder. We gladly accept her guidance." Karon and Sylphiri both stepped forward, offering their respectful thanks to the clan for the massive strategic favor.
Before they could finalize the line, Kaelia marched aggressively right up to Raizael. She stopped inches from his chest, her golden eyes burning with intense malice as she pointed a finger at his face, her voice a sharp, venomous hiss. "Listen to me, demon prince. If a single hair on my sister's head gets harmed while she is guiding your stupid army... I don't care how much gravity you can drop on me, I will personally rip your throat out. Do you hear me?!"
Raizael let out a lazy, deeply mocking chuckle, leaning down slightly to look right into her eyes with pure, taunting confidence. "A bold threat for a commander who was eating my volcanic dirt just twenty-four hours ago, Kaelia. Perhaps I should add a bit more weight to your shoulders to remind you of your place?"
"Why you—! Try it, you arrogant brat! I'll slice you to ribbons before you can even point that finger!" Kaelia roared, her scales flushing red as she reached for her daggers.
"Ah! Stop it, both of you! We are supposed to be allies now!" Princess Sylphiri cried out frantically, trying to step between them. But as Kaelia’s dark serpentine aura and Raizael’s suffocating, dominant crimson pressure violently crashed against each other in the center of the hall, the sheer kinetic force made the elven princess jump back, her face turning pale with sudden fear as she got thoroughly scared by their intense hostility.
"Enough, Kaelia! Control your tongue!" the Elder snapped, slamming her wooden staff against the floor with a booming thud that instantly shattered the tension and forced the pouting younger sister to back down with a sharp hmpf.
Minutes later, the specialized vanguard was officially moving out. At the village gates, Kaelia wrapped her arms tightly around Mireya, hugging her fiercely. "Stay safe out there, big sis," she whispered softly. Mireya smiled warmly, nodding her head as she started leaving. With the shy older sister leading the way into the secret forest path, Raizael’s army plunged back into the shadows.
.....
Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, deep inside the pristine, white marble walls of The Celestrix Empire, the atmosphere was radiating with a dark, impending storm.
King Malakor Sol-Zenith sat heavily upon his soaring golden throne, his fingers tightly gripping the carved armrests. His expression was deeply troubled, his blue eyes staring vacantly into the grand hall as he silently prayed to the light for his son Caelum’s safe return from his grand adventure.
Suddenly, the heavy iron-rimmed sanctuary doors burst open. The Supreme Commander of the imperial human army marched into the hall, his heavy silver plate armor clanking loudly before he threw himself down onto one knee before the dais, his face pale with high-tension data.
"Speak, Commander! What news do you bring of our outer borders?" Malakor demanded, his voice echoing through the vaulted ceiling.
"Your Majesty... after all these grueling months of searching for the fugitive, the Former Holy Saintess, Morrigan, has finally been found!" the Commander reported breathlessly. "Our deep network of secret spies has just delivered absolute confirmation. She is currently residing deep within the heart of the Demon Kingdom, fully protected by the royal court!"
Malakor’s face violently contorted with pure, unadulterated fury, his knuckles turning white against the gold throne. "The traitorous, impure wretch... What else?!"
"One more thing, Your Majesty," the Commander hesitated for a brief, terrifying second before forcing the words out. "Our scouts report that the newly declared Sovereign Regent, Prince Raizael, has officially mobilized an elite vanguard battalion. He has left the capital spires and is currently journeying through the western border sectors."
Malakor’s eyes narrowed into sharp, dangerous points, a sudden wave of panic hitting his chest. "Journeying? To what specific destination?!"
The Commander swallowed hard, his voice dropping into a tense whisper. "To the ruins of The Kingdom of Elyria, Your Majesty."
"WHAT?!" Malakor roared, standing up from his throne as his holy light aura violently exploded across the room, shattering a nearby marble pillar into dust. "The demon lineage dares to step foot on my late wife’s broken homeland?! They are trying to intercept my son!"
The King paced frantically across the golden dais, his breathing dangerously ragged as his frustration reached a boiling point. "Listen to my executive decrees, Commander! Send an immediate, massive reinforcement battalion of our elite holy knights after Caelum’s party to fortify his flanks! He must not face that regent alone!"
Malakor stopped, his face twisting into a look of absolute, ruthless pride and religious zealotry. "And as for the Demon Kingdom... ever since that traitorous and impure Saintess escaped our execution cells, the high-society nobles and the citizens have completely lost their trust in our holy authority! Our pride has been thoroughly dragged through the dirt! We must reclaim our absolute dominance at all costs! Gather the primary legions! I want you and our entire massive, unstoppable grand army to launch a full-scale, bloody crusade and attack the Demon Kingdom directly! We will burn their spires to ash!"
The drums of a total continental war had officially begun to beat, completely setting the stage for an explosive, multi-front collision.
