After arriving home, Song Zhiyuan stared at his phone, debating whether he should call Fu Xingnian.

When all was said and done, Fu Xingnian had helped him again today; it was only right to say thank you. However, as his finger hovered over Fu Xingnian’s name, Song Zhiyuan put the phone back down. On second thought, he decided against it. Fu Xingnian hadn’t messaged him, so why should he go chasing after the man?

Fu Xingnian clearly seemed like the type of person who disliked being pestered or followed too closely, and Song Zhiyuan happened to be someone who disliked clinging to others. Looking at the time, he figured Fu Xingnian must be busy so late at night. He didn’t want to disturb him; perhaps Fu Xingnian was with someone else right now, and he didn’t want to make a fool of himself.Full novel: The Wealthy Old Man’s Palm-Sized Pet — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

With those thoughts in mind, Song Zhiyuan tossed his phone aside, turned off the light, and went to sleep.

Like many university students, he just wanted to stay home and do his own thing over the weekend. Half a day passed quickly. By the afternoon, Song Zhiyuan felt hungry and decided to head out for a bite to eat.

As fate would have it, the world was a small place. The moment he stepped out, he ran into Chen Da. After a night, the marks on Chen Da’s face had become even more prominent.

Upon seeing Song Zhiyuan, Chen Da instinctively took a step back, his cheeks throbbing with phantom pain. Then, with a loud thud, Chen Da ducked back into his own apartment and slammed the door.

Watching his fleeing back, Song Zhiyuan remained expressionless, not even sparing him a second glance. He knew Chen Da wouldn’t dare provoke him again. It seemed the man was truly terrified; after all, Song Tianlai was much stronger than Chen Da, and Song Zhiyuan had beaten him so badly that he never dared to raise a hand again, let alone someone like Chen Da.

While Song Zhiyuan was mentally debating whether to have rice noodles or beef noodles, he looked up to see a familiar sedan slowly coming to a halt.

It was Fu Xingnian’s car.

Song Zhiyuan bit his lip guiltily before putting on a faint smile and walking toward the luxury vehicle. Over time, he had figured out a pattern: if Chu Wei got out of the car, it meant he was the only one inside; but if Chu Wei remained in the driver’s seat, it meant Fu Xingnian was in the back.

Despite knowing Fu Xingnian was there, Song Zhiyuan still froze for a moment when he opened the door and saw him. He had to admit that Fu Xingnian was not only well-endowed and skilled in bed, but also exceptionally handsome. Even a cold, expressionless profile was enough to make one swoon. Song Zhiyuan had to confess he was a sucker for a handsome face.

His heart skipped a beat as he smiled slightly. “Mr. Fu.”

As Chen Da was coming downstairs again, he happened to see Song Zhiyuan getting into a luxury car—a car so expensive that he couldn’t afford it even if he worked for three lifetimes without eating or drinking.

Contempt flashed in Chen Da’s eyes; Song Zhiyuan was exactly what he had thought he was. He gave a quiet “tsk” in his heart, mocking the boy for acting so aloof in front of him. But just as the thought crossed his mind, he froze. He felt a gaze sweep over him, making the hair on his arms stand on end.

Even though no one seemed to be looking at him, he felt a chill creeping up his spine. Chen Da quickly rubbed his arms and hurried away. Whatever Song Zhiyuan did was none of his business now; he would stay far away. He hadn’t forgotten that phone call he received at the police station yesterday.

Inside the car, it was very quiet. Song Zhiyuan felt the atmosphere was off. Although he couldn’t read much from Fu Xingnian’s face, he sensed the man was angry—though he wasn’t entirely sure why.

To break the tension, Song Zhiyuan rubbed his stomach. “Mr. Fu, I’m hungry.”

He knew that when he acted spoiled or showed weakness, Fu Xingnian usually softened, but today the man ignored him. Song Zhiyuan used two fingers to pinch a corner of Fu Xingnian’s suit jacket and tugged it gently. “Mr. Fu, I haven’t eaten all day. I’m really hungry.”

Right on cue, his stomach gave a loud, cooperative growl.

Fu Xingnian’s eyes finally flickered. “You haven’t eaten all day?”

Song Zhiyuan rubbed his stomach and nodded repeatedly. “Mhm, I’m nearly starving to death.”

Fu Xingnian seemed as though he wanted to say something, but he remained silent and directed Chu Wei to a certain location.

Fu Xingnian took Song Zhiyuan to a restaurant where all the dishes were ordered according to Song Zhiyuan’s preferences. The food arrived quickly, and Song Zhiyuan finally got to enjoy a proper meal.

As he ate, Fu Xingnian sat beside him without picking up his chopsticks. Song Zhiyuan asked, “Mr. Fu, aren’t you eating?”

“I’m not hungry,” Fu Xingnian replied.

His mood seemed much more relaxed now than it had been in the car. Between bites, Song Zhiyuan told him about yesterday’s events. He offered an explanation: “Actually, the person I wanted to call first yesterday was you, Mr. Fu.”

“Then why didn’t you?” Fu Xingnian asked.

Song Zhiyuan glanced at him and spoke the truth: “I thought it was very late and you might be busy. I was afraid of disturbing you.”

Fu Xingnian tapped his fingers on the table. When Song Zhiyuan had called Fu Can, it had only been past nine o’clock. He knew Song Zhiyuan must have misunderstood his situation. So, the boy would rather call Fu Can for help than call him.

“Then did it not occur to you that you might be disturbing Fu Can?” Fu Xingnian questioned.

“…” Song Zhiyuan hadn’t thought about that. He simply figured that since Fu Can wasn’t in a relationship yet, he wouldn’t be interrupting anything.

He wasn’t sure if it was his imagination, but the hard-won relaxed atmosphere suddenly turned tense again. Fu Xingnian seemed to be angry once more. However, Song Zhiyuan couldn’t worry about it too much; he was truly famished. He decided to fill his stomach first, knowing he would likely be burning a lot of energy later.

After dinner, the two traveled in silence to the apartment.

Just as they entered, Song Zhiyuan’s phone rang. When he saw the caller ID, he instinctively glanced at Fu Xingnian. Fu Xingnian’s deep eyes remained calm and unreadable.

Song Zhiyuan went to the balcony to take the call.

Even though Song Zhiyuan had said the neighbor wouldn’t dare bother him again, Fu Can still felt uneasy upon further reflection. He was calling to check in; if that neighbor dared to harass him again, he’d go over and give the guy another beating.

Watching the scenery outside the window, Song Zhiyuan felt a surge of emotion and gratitude. Throughout their three years of high school, Fu Can had treated him as a best friend, and he felt the same way—which was why he had worked so hard to tutor Fu Can during their senior year.

Once he knew Song Zhiyuan was fine and back at school, Fu Can hung up the phone.

When Song Zhiyuan turned around, he jumped in surprise. Fu Xingnian was standing right behind him.

“Mr. Fu.”

Fu Xingnian was a head taller than Song Zhiyuan. When he looked down at him like this, Song Zhiyuan felt an invisible pressure.

“At school? In the dormitory?” Fu Xingnian asked coldly. “Song Zhiyuan, why didn’t you tell the truth?”

Song Zhiyuan thought: Something is definitely wrong with Fu Xingnian today.

“Didn’t you say, Mr. Fu, that our relationship shouldn’t be known by others?” Song Zhiyuan replied.

Before he knew it, they were no longer on the balcony but on the sofa. He was half-kneeling on the cushions with someone embracing him from behind, skillfully removing his clothes.

Fu Xingnian bit his ear. “Song Zhiyuan, do you dare let him see you like this right now?”

“Mr. Fu, what do you mean by that? I don’t understand,” Song Zhiyuan stammered.

As Fu Xingnian’s hand moved over him, Song Zhiyuan felt a tingling sensation at the base of his spine that shot straight to his scalp. Fu Xingnian kissed his ear, noticing how it turned bright red with the contact. As he kissed him, his hands did not stop their work.

Every word Fu Xingnian spoke made Song Zhiyuan’s nerves jump. “Song Zhiyuan, do you know you were born with a ‘seductive body’? My hand is already wet.”

For some reason, Fu Xingnian was talking much more than usual today, and he was being more “vicious” in his teasing.

Song Zhiyuan felt both ashamed and indignant. “Mr. Fu…”

But Fu Xingnian continued, “Every time I touch you, your whole body goes soft.”

Song Zhiyuan buried his face in the sofa cushions. “Mr. Fu, please stop talking…”

After a flurry of movement, Song Zhiyuan looked up in confusion as the man bullying him took off his own dress shirt and draped it over Song Zhiyuan. He buttoned it up one by one, then undid the top three buttons and gave a gentle tug, exposing a snowy-white shoulder.

Fu Xingnian pinched the skin, leaving a red mark on the shoulder.

Pressed into the sofa, Song Zhiyuan’s cheeks were flushed pink, his eyes were misty, and his rose-colored lips were swollen and red. Fu Xingnian tilted his head and bit down on Song Zhiyuan’s Adam’s apple the most vulnerable spot with the tips of his teeth. Song Zhiyuan’s eyes half-closed, the corners reddening.

A rustling sound came from the sofa. Whether Fu Xingnian’s hands were too large or Song Zhiyuan’s ankles were too slender, Fu Xingnian easily gripped both of the boy’s ankles in one hand.

In this position, he could see everything.

Song Zhiyuan knew how to deceive himself: he threw an arm over his face so he couldn’t see anything, as if that meant Fu Xingnian couldn’t see anything either. But Fu Xingnian seemed to know exactly what he was thinking, or perhaps he just wanted to see every expression on the boy’s face. He pulled the arm away and lifted him up. “Song Zhiyuan, look at me.”

The scene shifted from the sofa to the bed.

Song Zhiyuan was completely spent, leaning weakly against the man behind him. Yet Fu Xingnian had no intention of letting him go just yet.

Song Zhiyuan’s expression suddenly changed. “Mr. Fu, please… stop.”

It was a simple sentence, but he spoke it haltingly, with great difficulty. Fu Xingnian had “developed” Song Zhiyuan’s body himself; with a single look, he knew exactly what state the boy was in.

Song Zhiyuan’s pleas only made Fu Xingnian want to bully him harder. “What ‘Mr. Fu’? Call me by my name.”

Song Zhiyuan bit his lip, his voice trembling. “Fu Xingnian.”

“Good boy,” Fu Xingnian whispered, biting his ear. “Relax.”

Hot breath fanned across his earlobe. In that moment, Song Zhiyuan’s body tensed as he arched backward, his slender neck forming a sexy, beautiful curve.

At the same time, a “fountain” formed. A large patch of the bed was soaked.

A triumphant smile played in Fu Xingnian’s eyes, while Song Zhiyuan’s tears fell like rain.

Wiping away the tears, Fu Xingnian said, “Song Zhiyuan, in the future, you can call me directly.”

Seeing no response, he added, “Hmm? Do you want to go again?”

“No, no,” Song Zhiyuan hurried to say. “I understand.”

Only then was Fu Xingnian satisfied.

Song Zhiyuan was truly exhausted; this time, Fu Xingnian carried him to the bathroom. After being cleaned, he lay on the sofa in a daze, watching Fu Xingnian tidy the bed and the room.

As he was tucked back into the soft bed, he vaguely heard Fu Xingnian say: “Try calling Fu Can again next time and see what happens.”

Song Zhiyuan fell completely asleep.
