Lillian stared at the drink in her hand.
She had already had more alcohol than she normally drank.
Her cheeks were slightly flushed, and her head felt strangely warm.
Ethan picked up the bottle.
“Another?”
Lillian frowned.
“I think that’s enough.”
“One more.”
Before she could stop him, he filled her glass.
She looked at him.
“You really like drinking.”
Ethan laughed.
“Relax.”
Lillian took a small sip.
She didn’t want to make a scene.
They continued talking, but the conversation was becoming increasingly unpleasant.
Ethan asked her several personal questions.
Lillian answered some and ignored others.
Then he leaned back.
“So you’ve really never dated anyone before?”
“No.”
“Not even once?”
“No.”
He looked amused.
“Interesting.”
Lillian narrowed her eyes.
“What is?”
“Nothing.”
She didn’t like his tone.
“What?”
Ethan smiled.
“I was just wondering whether you’re experienced enough to know how to satisfy a man in a marriage.”
Lillian froze.
The room became silent. Her expression changed.
“What did you just say?”
Ethan shrugged.
“It’s a simple question.”
Lillian stared at him.
“Don’t ask me questions like that again.”
He laughed.
“Why are you getting angry?
aren’t you supposed to have experience as a celebrity you guys are open”
She stood up and slapped him fiercely
The room immediately tilted.
She grabbed the drink on the table and poured him.
“Then she replied this is what we do to scumbags as a celebrity.
She walked out.
Her steps were slightly wobbly because of the alcohol, but there was still strength in the way she carried herself.
She was angry.
Ethan sat there shocked and angry he wasn’t expecting to be slapped by that woman.
“if not for the contract who does she think she is women are dying to be with him and here she has the opportunity but she is still stupid enough to hit him .
He thought furiously.
Meanwhile, in Adrian’s private room, Ryan was reaching for another drink.
“I want one more.” Ryan shouted
“You’ve had enough,” Adrian said.
“I’m fine.”
Lucas laughed and said”That’s what drunk people say.”
“I’m not drunk.” Ryan replied
Marcus smiled.”Then you won’t mind drinking water.”
Ryan frowned.”I don’t want water.”
Adrian stood.
“I’m going to the bathroom.”
Ryan waved him off.
“Don’t get lost.”
Adrian gave him a look.
“I know where it is.”
He left the room.
The hallway was quieter than the main club area.
Adrian entered the men’s bathroom.
He walked toward one of the urinals.
At almost the same moment, Lillian came around the corner.
She was still annoyed.
She wasn’t paying attention to the signs.
She pushed the door open.
Two steps later, she stopped.
There was a man inside.
Lillian frowned.
“Why is there a man in the women’s bathroom?”
Adrian slowly turned his head.
He stared at her.
For several seconds, neither spoke.
Then Adrian looked toward the door.
“This is the men’s bathroom.”
Lillian blinked.
She looked behind her.
Then at the sign.
Then back at Adrian.
“Oh.”
Adrian raised an eyebrow.
Lillian frowned at the sign.
“The sign is confusing.”
Adrian looked at it.
“It says men.”
“I know.”
“Then how is it confusing?”
She folded her arms.
“I don’t know.”
Then he recognized her.
The petite woman from the airport.
The one who had punched a man and then immediately pretended to be frightened when security arrived.
But tonight she looked completely different.
Her cheeks were flushed.
Her eyes were slightly unfocused.
And she looked angry enough to fight someone.
Lillian turned around.
“I’m leaving.”
She took one step.
Then another.
Her body swayed.
She steadied herself against the wall.
Adrian finished what he was doing and washed his hands.
When he turned back toward her, she was still there.
He frowned.
“Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.”
“You don’t look fine.”
“I’m fine.”
She pushed away from the wall.
Then walked toward the door.
Her steps were uneven, but she refused to ask for help.
Adrian watched her carefully.
“Lillian.”
She stopped.
She turned.
“How do you know my name?”
He pointed toward her handbag.
“Your identification card.”
She looked down.
“Oh.”
Then she stared at him.
For several seconds, she said nothing.
Adrian waited.
Finally, she spoke.
“You’re…”
She squinted.
“Very handsome.”
Adrian sighed.
“You’re drunk.”
“I know.”
She smiled.
Then, with the confidence of someone who had completely forgotten her anger, she took another step toward him.
Adrian looked at her.
He suddenly realized that the woman from the airport was going to be much more difficult to handle than he had expected.
