S-Class hero, Tempest the Storm Chaser!
He wore an all-blue suit with a lightning bolt drawn across his chest and two more emblazoned on the ears of his cowl.
Known as the fastest man alive, the incarnation of speed and a walking natural disaster,
Tempest, who usually had the liveliest expression on the team, was currently angry.
’BOOM!’
"Hey, moony, are you serious about what you’re saying?"
"They have the ability to make us lose our powers?"
Slamming the table, streaks of electricity flashed all over his body as his emotions were hard to calm.
"You have to be kidding me! You more than everyone know what that means if that happens!" he paused, taking a look at everyone.
"Remember it! Remember the sole reason why we’re even a group in the first place."
"The years when we were at the bottom of society before we awakened."
"Exploited consumables by the oligarchs and those in power."
"Before we became who we are today and ended all the wars, remember how pitifully we all lived."
"Isn’t that the reason why we each guard a city? To try and make life in those cities better than what we experienced."
"Now you tell me that someone can take it all away and send us back to the past?"
"Impossible!"
Just the mere thought of losing his powers made Tempest on the verge of losing control.
Thinking back to the days where he was just a stranger struggling from nook to cranny for some leftovers before he awakened,
he absolutely could not go back to the past.
And the other heroes, hearing this, they all nodded.
They all knew what their lives would be like if they lost their abilities.
This was something they couldn’t afford to let happen no matter what.
"Alright, Tempest, calm down, I understand where you’re coming from, and I won’t let that happen."
"Rather than being angry, we need to come up with a set of plans to control everything."
"Not only that, but we need to prepare for the worst."
Pressing a button on the table, Crescent Moon brought up a hologram showing the profiles of all twelve of them.
"Think clearly, of a sudden hidden society that controls the Federation from behind the scenes, can create chimera-like monsters, and take abilities."
"With such strength and capabilities, they most likely have been hiding for a long time, collecting information about us."
"And given that they’ve chosen to strike now, it means they are at least confident in their abilities to take us down."
"And that includes all of us, including you, Imperion!"
Looking at Imperion, who was sitting aloof with his arms crossed across from him, Crescent Moon’s eyes beneath his mask couldn’t help but twitch a bit.
Even on such a serious occasion, Imperion in front of him seemed totally unfazed while the other heroes were all emotional.
Should he say, as expected of the world’s strongest hero?
Looking at the calm Imperion, a thought couldn’t help but flash across his mind as he frowned.
’Imperion...’
However, Ethan didn’t seem to notice this as, hearing Crescent Moon call out his name, he was currently dealing with his own dilemma.
’Why the hell are you calling me out now, in the original novel they never examined what happened in the meeting?’
’What if I end up exposing myself that I’m weaker, or the others get suspicious?’
Crossing his arms, Ethan’s mind was in disarray. In this meeting, he had to be extremely careful in order not to give away his current situation.
Especially now that tensions are high because of the new threat.
’Calm down, Ethan, think this through, the old Imperion was described as extremely proud and full of joy in front of fans and heroes alike.’
’While behind the scenes he was more calculating and sinister or so the story said, right now regardless of if it’s true or not, I have to at least pretend to be like that.’
Thinking of this, he had already thought of what to say.
Forcing a smile on his face, he laughed, directly unleashing the aura from his new Imperial Body.
"Haha! Confident in taking me down? I’d like to see them try."
"Oh also, I interrogated one of the Federation’s spies during the attack before I got here."
"According to him, the person in charge of the chimera attacks was someone named Dr. Lanister. Crescent Moon, I’ll leave it to you to find out more about him."
"Maybe through him we can find this so-called hidden organisation."
Casually brushing off the fact that he might be targeted, Ethan directly told them the information he had gotten from the spy.
Although not much, at this current situation, any information, no matter how big or small, was useful.
And sure enough, hearing this, Crescent Moon nodded.
"That’s good, alright then let’s do it like this."
"I’ve found a headquarters of the organisation Chimera Labs, once everything is set I’ll send the location and we can launch a raid on it with the available members."
"Tentative time is set for a month from now, I’ll need at least three of us to go just to be safe."
"Next we should focus more of our resources on finding this Dr. Lanister and dealing with the monsters in our city."
"And lastly everyone leave your communicators open, so if anyone gets targeted, then we can inform the others, at least with people like Tempest and Imperion’s speed we should be able to reach each other easily."
"Now raise your hand if you’re for or against this plan!"
Hearing this, everyone raised their hands, symbolizing their support.
Seeing this, Crescent Moon just nodded.
"Alright, everyone, regardless of the differences or world views we might have, as Tempest said we all remember our lives before we got to where we are today."
"In order to preserve our current positions, we need to work together just like when we first created this group."
Taking a glance at Sentinel, who was still smoking a cigarette, he continued.
"Now lastly before we disband, who is going to be able to participate in the raid one month from now, remember we need to be at least three?"
