Chapter 5: An S-Class Emergency

The World's Greatest Hero Is Actually a Villain?

"Fortunately, the D-day is almost here! Just ten years and all our plans will come to fruition!"

Hearing these words, Ethan thought back to the final battle the original Imperion fought and lost against Arthur and the coalition. Perhaps the original Imperion had already started planning as early as now.

"However, if that was the case, then it doesn’t make sense that he lost?"

"With his unlimited plunder, the original Imperion shouldn’t have lost with over ten years of preparation, or am I forgetting something?"

Yawning slightly, Ethan continued, racking his mind as he observed the surrounding scenery, trying to figure out what was going on.

Obviously, he couldn’t ask Lilith what she was talking about; she would suspect something was going on.

And considering her loyalty to Imperion, there’s a high probability she would try to kill him herself on the spot.

Because of that, right now, all he could do was silently note to find out more about Imperion’s past whenever he had time.

"Indeed, Lilith, what you say is true; however, let’s not talk about that."

"Look around you, don’t you think today is quite beautiful?"

"I, for one, think the sky is exceptionally blue today!"

Changing the topic, Ethan wore a smile as he faced upwards directly at the sun.

Above him, the sky, birds unique to this new world chirped in the sky as they sang their wonderful songs.

With rainbow-colored wings and beaks that produced the softest melodies, these were rainbow birds, a native species to New Geneva.

Beside him on the road, all kinds of futuristic buildings stood, as children and families alike walked with a smile on their faces.

With the advent of superpowers, technology has also made a huge leap in recent years, making it incomparable to its former world, Earth.

However, just as Lilith and Ethan were about to continue to enjoy the scenery on their way to Elysium headquarters, they both suddenly frowned as they sensed something coming.

<Attention! Attention!>

<A suspected S-Class Villain has appeared within New Geneva City.>

<Energy signature estimated at Level Three or higher.>

<All civilians are ordered to evacuate immediately and proceed to the nearest emergency shelter.>

<Heroes within a 50-kilometre radius have been dispatched.>

<Repeat!>

<Suspected S-Class Villain.>

<Estimated Level Three threat.>

<Evacuate immediately.>

All around New Geneva, this alarm played, as the once peaceful afternoon soon turned chaotic, as everyone scrambled to leave the streets.

Sitting in the car, with a frown on her face, Lilith began to get up to deal with it. However, Imperion, seeing this, stopped her.

Monster? He might as well use this opportunity to test his new abilities.

After all, if the heroes of Elysium aren’t as heroic as he thought, then he might end up having to use his abilities once he got there.

In that case, he might as well practice them beforehand.

Thinking of this, he unfastened his seatbelt, flying into the sky, his black Imperion costume with a golden I, wearing a crown on his chest.

On his head, he also had a black cowl, as his golden cape fluttered in the wind.

"Lilith, it’s fine; stay here and leave it to me."

"I did wake up kind of stiff this morning, so I could use the stretch."

Boom!

Not giving her a chance to reply, he flew off into the sky, off to find the monster, leaving only a red-eyed Lilith in the car, frowning.

"I hope it’s my imagination, but is it a coincidence?"

"Just when we were on the road, a monster decides to attack? Could someone be targeting Imperion?" she whispered.

However, after saying this out loud, she couldn’t help but burst into laughter, as even she couldn’t believe the words she just said.

"Haha, Lilith, come on, someone target Imperion? Who in their right mind would want to target that monster?"

"Considering how strong he is, I don’t think even the whole world could take him down."

Talking to herself, Lilith decided not to think about it anymore.

She might as well browse some of the latest news on her phone while she waits for him to deal with the monster.

"However, to dare attack the city where Imperion is currently in, I wonder what kind of monster it is, especially to be classified as S-class."

Speaking of S-class, Lilith’s eyes narrowed slightly as she knew what S-class meant.

The twelve heroes were S-class; she was S-class.

S-class was the pinnacle of superheroes, apart from Imperion, who was classified as EX-rank.

So, for an S-class to suddenly appear when no more than thirty exist in the world, her gut feeling once again told her something was wrong. Unfortunately, she couldn’t figure out what it was.

.....

[Imperion Pov]

A few minutes had passed since he had left Lilith, and flying through the sky, Ethan’s emotions were at their peak.

In his past life, he had never even ridden a plane, yet now he was flying at will.

Feeling the wind rush past his body, he could barely contain his excitement.

"Haha! This is it!"

’This is what it means to be Imperion! Come on, monster! Haha, don’t make me too bored!’

Sensing the strength coursing through his veins, Ethan couldn’t wait to test all his abilities out on whatever villain was wreaking havoc.

Perhaps he could use this to understand just how powerful the person he had possessed was.

"Come on, monster, where are yo-!"

Just as he was about to continue his search, a roar suddenly sounded in his ears, attracting his attention.

Roaaar!

"Move, you ants! Today! Both the city and Imperion’s head are mine!"

Roaring to the sky, a ten-foot monster, with 6 heads on its shoulders, and tens, if not hundreds, of faces on its body, spoke, destroying everything in its path.

With completely grey skin and scale-like armour all over its body, it looked more like an abomination than a human.

Roaaar!

"Imperion! Come out here before I flatten this city!"

Roaring once more, a sonic wave emitted from its mouth, destroying a nearby building!

Not only that, it caused the surrounding debris to fly away, almost hitting a nearby child directly.

Fortunately, just before the rock could land, a tall figure appeared, shielding the child with his back.

"Haha! Worry not, child! Imperion is here!"
