14 – The Woman of Ji Hanyuan, What Can’t She Do?
Ji Hanyuan was in no hurry to take Tangtang back to Moonlight Manor.
The little girl rarely got to go out and seemed extremely curious and fascinated by everything.
She asked him about this and that, like a walking encyclopedia of “whys.”
So Ji Hanyuan couldn’t bear to take her back just yet, even though he still had a pile of things to attend to.
After taking Tangtang out for dinner, he brought her to the mall.
Tangtang still had too few clothes, barely filling one walk-in closet.
He wanted her to pick out more herself, preferably enough to fill the remaining closets.
Tangtang, who found everything new and exciting, was also thrilled about shopping at the mall.
She had no real concept of money, only knowing that her brother had said with his phone in hand, “Just swipe and buy whatever you want,” so she obediently did just that.
After shopping at several stores and buying a large pile of things, they entered a women’s clothing store.
Tangtang immediately spotted a dark red dress. Turning around, she saw that Ji Hanyuan was suddenly on a phone call, so she took the dress herself to the fitting room to try it on.
The fitting room was the enclosed type, where you could only see yourself in the mirror inside and couldn’t come out wearing the clothes. A salesperson stood by the entrance to assist.
Just as Tangtang entered with the red dress, she ran into two women who suddenly stared at her in shock.
Seeing their faces, Tangtang felt a sharp pain shoot through her head.
The sensation made her extremely uncomfortable, and she wanted to flee immediately.
Clutching the red dress, she hurried into a fitting cubicle. Unexpectedly, the two women followed her inside.
“Tang Jiaojiao, you’re actually alive!” The younger of the two women stared at Tangtang in utter disbelief, her whole body trembling.
The older woman, however, remained much calmer. She patted the younger woman’s back and comforted her, “Yingying, it’s alright, don’t be afraid.”
Then, her sharp gaze fixed directly on Tangtang. Her tone sounded calm but carried a hint of threat and intimidation. “Tang Jiaojiao, since you’re fine, why haven’t you come home? Are you refusing to acknowledge your mother and sister now?!”
As she spoke, Zhao Xuefen clenched her hands tightly at her sides!
She couldn’t believe how lucky this illegitimate daughter was!
But what did it matter if she survived once?
Whether it was twice or three times! Tang Jiaojiao would never escape their grasp!
Everything that belonged to her daughter Yingying, she would never allow to be stolen by this shameless illegitimate daughter, Tang Jiaojiao!
She wouldn’t mind taking Tang Jiaojiao back to Southern Goose Mountain and pushing her off again!
For her daughter, she, as a mother, would do anything!
The sudden malice from the two women made Tangtang extremely uneasy.
They called her Tang Jiaojiao… and claimed to be her mother and sister…
But she remembered nothing…
Only feeling as if a drill were boring into her head, making her terribly uncomfortable. Instinctively, she kept backing away.
Until her back hit the wall with a thud.
“Tang Jiaojiao, stop pretending with us! Come out with us right now!” Tang Yingying, having regained her composure, grabbed Tangtang’s arm and tried to drag her out.
She had to take Tang Jiaojiao away again! Make her disappear completely from this world! She couldn’t leave any hidden dangers!
She couldn’t let anything affect her marriage with Brother Muze!
However, Tangtang slapped away Tang Yingying’s hand gripping her arm and glared at her with a frown.
“Don’t touch me!”
The moment this woman touched her, she felt a physical and psychological reflex of disgust!
Tang Yingying looked at the red mark on her hand left by Tang Jiaojiao’s slap, her eyes instantly flashing with disbelief.
Tang Jiaojiao, who had always been so meek she wouldn’t even dare to fart, actually dared to resist her and even hit her?
Seeing her precious daughter Tang Yingying’s hand red from being hit, Zhao Xuefen immediately flew into a rage.
She grabbed Tangtang’s wrist and forcefully dragged her outside, shouting loudly at the same time.
“You rebellious girl! How dare you hit your own sister! Today, I’m going to teach you a lesson about propriety and shame!”
Meanwhile, Ji Hanyuan, who had just finished his phone call outside, walked in with a frown.
Although he had been on the phone, he had been keeping an eye on Tangtang.
He knew Tangtang had happily taken a red dress into the fitting room, but three minutes had passed, and she still hadn’t come out.
Instantly, the highly alert Ji Hanyuan sensed something was wrong. He ended the call early and walked in.
As he approached the fitting room, he overheard a few people outside discussing.
“It seems like a mother is disciplining her daughter!”
“That girl is so pretty, but I don’t know why her character is so terrible. From what her mother said, she doesn’t go home and even hit her own sister in public!”
“Oh dear, oh dear! They’re already fighting!”
Suddenly, a series of sharp, ear-piercing screams erupted from inside, chaotic and disorderly.
In an instant, Ji Hanyuan’s heart clenched.
His Tangtang!
At that moment, he could no longer hold back. He rushed straight in.
However, the scene that greeted him left him stunned.
There was his Tangtang, glaring fiercely at two women lying on the ground wailing, hands on her hips, angrily saying, “I told you not to touch me, but you didn’t listen! Don’t blame me for being rude to you!”
Ji Hanyuan: “…”
He glanced at the two disheveled women on the ground and naturally recognized them as Tangtang’s family members.
However, one was her “mother” with no blood relation, and the other was her half-sister.
Suddenly, Tangtang reflexively looked up and spotted Ji Hanyuan. Her eyes instantly lit up, and she eagerly ran toward him, her crescent-shaped eyes sparkling as she looked at him.
“Brother A Yuan!”
After calling out to him, she realized she might have… ruined her image again.
She had actually hit someone in front of her brother…
She bit her lip, guiltily lowering her eyes. “I…”
“It’s fine.” Ji Hanyuan, as if knowing what Tangtang was about to say, pulled her into his arms, interrupting her domineeringly. “You hitting them is an honor for them. They should feel privileged!”
Who couldn’t his woman, Ji Hanyuan’s woman, hit?
These two women from the Tang family—if Tangtang hit them, so be it!
Even if she tore a hole in the sky, he would be the one to patch it up!
Zhao Xuefen and Tang Yingying, who had been lying on the ground wailing, were stunned into silence the moment they saw Ji Hanyuan…
The man before them exuded an air of immense nobility. Though his clothes didn’t bear any visible brand, the fabric was clearly of exceptional quality and undoubtedly expensive.
Moreover… the black jade thumb ring on his finger…
Suddenly, Tang Yingying felt he looked somewhat familiar, but she couldn’t quite place him…
But… how had this Tang Jiaojiao suddenly managed to latch onto another man?!
Logically speaking, Tang Jiaojiao was no longer competing with her for Jiang Muze, so she should have been overjoyed.
Yet, seeing the man before her… more handsome than Jiang Muze, with a more noble bearing…
If… if his status was even higher than Jiang Muze’s… then wouldn’t she, Tang Yingying, be overshadowed by Tang Jiaojiao once again!
No! She absolutely would not allow such a thing to happen!
Tang Yingying stood up with a swift turn, straightened her dress and hair, and offered Ji Hanyuan a polite smile.
“Hello, sir. I am Jiaojiao’s older sister, Tang Yingying.”
Tang Yingying extended her hand toward Ji Hanyuan, confident that her looks were no worse than Tang Jiaojiao’s.
After all, Tang Jiaojiao was usually a dull and uninteresting person—what man could possibly like such a wooden block with no charm or femininity!
Jiang Muze was proof of that!
So, with just a little flirtation, this man before her would surely fall into her grasp as well!
However, as Tang Yingying’s hand hung in mid-air, almost stiffening, Ji Hanyuan suddenly let out a derisive laugh. His thin lips curled slightly, and his tone carried a bone-chilling coldness as he spoke.
“If you come one centimeter closer to me, your hand will likely snap right here.”
