The rain was pouring heavily.

The curtain of rain blurred the view, obscuring the pair of eyes as dark as an abyss gazing out from behind the window.

Like a wild beast, they held a thirst for blood.Full novel: The Yandere Gentleman Gently Coaxes, The Sweet Baby Cannot Escape — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The short distance from getting out of the car to entering the house was enough to drench someone completely.

Summer rain always arrives with urgency.

“Sisi, come quickly!”

Her best friend Jiang Xin had already run back into the house first, then stood at the doorway reaching out to Cheng Sisi, pulling her inside.

Once under the eaves, Cheng Sisi lowered the canvas bag she had held over her head to shield herself from the rain. Looking down, she saw that the front of her pure white blouse was soaked through, revealing the pinkish-white lace underneath.

She suddenly felt embarrassed and quickly raised the canvas bag to cover her chest.

“Ah, what’s there to be shy about? We’re all girls here, who doesn’t have them?”

Jiang Xin snatched the canvas bag from her hands and hid it behind her back, winking mischievously as she added, “It’s just that yours are a bit bigger than mine!”

Hearing this, Cheng Sisi flushed even more and hurriedly tried to grab it back.

But Jiang Xin dodged with a laugh, then pushed the door open and walked inside, saying, “What are you afraid of? Don’t worry, there’s no one home right now, you…”

The next moment, however, her body suddenly froze, and she stammered, “B-b-big brother?”

Cheng Sisi, chasing after her in a hurry, didn’t react in time and bumped right into her as she stepped through the door, wondering why she had stopped.

Looking up, she saw a pair of deep, dark eyes staring at her from over Jiang Xin’s shoulder!

It was a man!

A pair of thin-rimmed gold-framed glasses rested on his tall, straight nose bridge. Behind the lenses, his eyes were gentle yet carried a hint of sharpness. The contours of his face were as refined as his gaze—half gentle, half sharp—and incredibly captivating.

He was very tall, likely towering over Cheng Sisi by at least a head!

In his hand, he held a glass of water.

From his composed and gentlemanly demeanor, Cheng Sisi could guess that he was probably Jiang Xin’s eldest brother, Jiang Zhuo.

According to Jiang Xin, her parents had passed away early, and it was her eldest brother who had supported the family and raised her and her second brother. Jiang Zhuo was five years older than her, and as the eldest brother, he was like a father to her. So, Jiang Xin held a sense of reverence and awe for him.

“B-big brother, this is my classmate and my best friend.”

Jiang Xin pushed Cheng Sisi forward and continued introducing her, “Her name is Cheng Sisi. She’s the same age as me, and we studied the same major, so we plan to look for jobs together after graduation. But she’s from another province, and she just graduated with no money, so, so…”

Jiang Xin hemmed and hawed for a while, afraid Jiang Zhuo might not agree, but then she heard him finish the sentence for her.

“Staying with us temporarily!”

“Yes, yes, yes! Brother, she’s my best friend. We can share a room. She’s very well-behaved and won’t cause any trouble!”

Jiang Zhuo didn’t agree immediately. Instead, he carefully examined Cheng Sisi.

From head to toe, leaving no detail unnoticed.

She was wearing a gray-and-white checkered pleated skirt that only reached the top of her thighs, revealing legs with a perfect shape—neither too thin nor too bony, as white and tender as tofu. Looking upward, the soaked blouse couldn’t conceal the two pink peaks.

Their shape was exquisite!

Combined with her appearance and demeanor, she could be described as a stunning beauty.

If an ordinary person were to examine a woman like this, they would surely be called a pervert.

But Jiang Zhuo was different—strangely, he didn’t give off a sleazy vibe.

Although his examination was thorough, it was quick. After a brief sweep, he immediately averted his gaze, offering no extra words, only leaving behind a few.

“You decide for yourself.”

Hearing this, Jiang Xin was delighted and quickly thanked him, “Thank you, big brother!”

But Cheng Sisi was blushing so much she couldn’t speak. It wasn’t until he looked away that she seemed to realize she was drenched—meaning he had seen her!

Although he hadn’t actually seen anything, she still felt embarrassed and ashamed.

After all, that area was too private, and she wasn’t the type to be open about such things. She was the kind of person who would blush if someone stared at her for too long. So even though she was fully clothed, she still felt as if she had been completely exposed.

She cautiously hid behind Jiang Xin once again.

Jiang Zhuo noticed her subtle movement, raising his eyebrows almost imperceptibly, a flicker of light flashing in his eyes.

“Big brother, you didn’t go to the company today?”

“Hmm.”

He nodded, then turned and walked away without another word.

The moment he stepped onto the stairs, the burning interest in his eyes was no longer concealed. He narrowed his eyes, his mind filled entirely with Cheng Sisi’s flawless, delicate face—pure yet alluring. Especially her eyes, as timid and pitiable as a startled deer.

The more he thought about it, the more parched his throat felt.

He lowered his head and took a sip of water, then let out a soft sigh.

How he longed to see what she looked like when she cried!

It wasn’t until his figure disappeared at the top of the stairs that Cheng Sisi dared to step out from behind Jiang Xin. She snatched her canvas bag back and muttered, “It’s all your fault for making me dress like this. Now I’ve completely embarrassed myself in front of your big brother!”

“Why are you blaming me again?”

Jiang Xin leaned in close, draping herself over Cheng Sisi, and protested, “Didn’t you ask me what kind of person my second brother likes? So I dressed you up the way he likes. How was I supposed to know the shirt would be so sheer?”

As she spoke, she playfully cupped Cheng Sisi’s chest.

“You!”

Cheng Sisi jumped back, holding her canvas bag protectively in front of her.

“You’re a girl—can’t you stop acting like a pervert?”

Jiang Xin burst into laughter and added, “Why are you so shy around me? What’s there to be afraid of? A good figure should be shown off. Even as a girl, I can’t help but drool over a body like yours. My second brother is a normal man—he definitely won’t be able to resist.”

Cheng Sisi pouted, but the truth was, it wasn’t Jiang Xin’s second brother who had seen her—it was her eldest brother, Jiang Zhuo.

As if sensing her concern, Jiang Xin reassured her, “As for my big brother, you don’t need to worry about him either. He’s been avoiding women for years and hasn’t even had a girlfriend yet. Besides, my big brother is a workaholic—he probably prefers strong, career-driven women like himself.”

“Don’t worry, you’re not my brother’s type.”

“Enough talking. Let me take you upstairs first. The driver can bring in your luggage.”

That evening.

Jiang Xin carefully selected a sheer, seductive nightgown for Cheng Sisi, saying the pure white lace and transparent fabric perfectly matched her temperament.

“My second brother will be back soon. You should seize the opportunity—it’d be best if you two got things done tonight so you can officially become my sister-in-law tomorrow.”

“W-wait…”

“Wait for what?!”

Cheng Sisi was pushed out of the room by Jiang Xin, who immediately locked the door from the inside, trapping her outside.

“Jiang Xin, don’t do this! Open the door!”

Cheng Sisi felt that wearing this semi-transparent nightgown was no different from being completely naked. Moreover, the Jiang household didn’t just have her second brother—there was also her eldest brother!

“Jiang Xin!”

She knocked on the door, not daring to raise her voice too much for fear of alerting Jiang Xin’s eldest brother, Jiang Zhuo.

Earlier, when he had seen her completely drenched, she had already been unbearably embarrassed. If he were to see her in this state now, she would be even more mortified.

And even facing her second brother, she wouldn’t dare appear like this!

She, Jiang Xin, and Jiang Xin’s second brother, Jiang Si, attended the same school.

After spending more time with Jiang Xin, she had gotten to know Jiang Si. After several interactions, she found herself irresistibly drawn to Jiang Si’s warm and sunny personality. Jiang Xin noticed her feelings and kept trying to set her up with Jiang Si.

She admitted that a big reason she had moved into the Jiang household was because of Jiang Si.

But she didn’t want to attract his attention or win his favor this way.

No matter how hard she knocked, Jiang Xin showed no response. He even started watching a movie inside, turning the volume up to the maximum with speakers, completely blocking out any noise from outside.

“What should I do?”

Cheng Sisi was worried—Jiang Si would be back soon.

She ran to the staircase, hiding behind the wall and peeking out, wondering if she should find a place to hide.

But as she turned back, she let out a scream, startled by the man who had suddenly appeared behind her.
