The source of divine power within the Little Young Master’s body was the seven-colored auspicious qi, so refining the Xuanchu Fruit was naturally twice as effective with half the effort, even slightly faster than the Master of the Earthly Realm.
The Master of the Earthly Realm was protecting him, so every single minor change of the Little Young Master was seen in his eyes. Before the Little Young Master had even opened his eyes, his pulse gate had already been clasped.
The Little Young Master: “…”
Only after examining that there was no major issue within his body did the Master of the Earthly Realm release his hand, saying: “What wondrous use does this Xuanchu Fruit possess?”
When these words were uttered, the Little Young Master was quite astonished. Unable to resist examining the Master of the Earthly Realm’s face carefully to confirm he wasn’t faking it, he only then asked: “You actually didn’t know?”
Seeing him like this, the Master of the Earthly Realm couldn’t help bursting into laughter: “Why does the Little Young Master think this Master would know?”
Hearing this, the Little Young Master’s eyes were filled with confusion: “Since you and Tian Qian both don’t know the use of the Xuanchu Fruit, then how did I know it? I always thought you two taught it to me in my childhood.” Yet thinking about it carefully now, the two of them indeed had never taught him these things.
The Master of the Earthly Realm patted the back of his hand lightly, resolving his confusion for him: “The Xuanchu Tree is an item left behind in this world by Heaven and Earth. You are the Child of Heaven and Earth; by birth, you naturally know many things that others cannot know.”
After bringing the Little Young Master out from the Creation Blessed Land, he and Tian Qian had discovered that the Little Young Master was born with an understanding of the world. It was the same in his subsequent upbringing; many things of the world were known by the Little Young Master from birth, and he even knew many things that neither he nor Tian Qian knew.
However, the two of them also discovered that the Little Young Master himself didn’t know how he knew these things. It was like a segment of memory stored within his divine consciousness, yet this memory was in a semi-sealed state. On ordinary days, he wouldn’t recall it; only when a thing was brought right before the Little Young Master’s eyes would it naturally be remembered. Just like this Xuanchu Fruit—he naturally knew how to retrieve and store it, and what its function was, yet he didn’t know how he himself came to know it.
The Little Young Master nodded slightly, taking it as agreeing with the Master of the Earthly Realm’s words. Yet turning his thoughts around, he said again: “Then how did you handle the Xuanchu Fruits that the Xuanchu Tree bore in the past?”
The Master of the Earthly Realm pondered for a moment before saying: “Tian Qian and I knew that the Xuanchu Tree takes one hundred thousand years to bloom, one hundred thousand years to bear fruit, and one hundred thousand years to mature. Yet in truth, not every blooming yields fruit, and even if it bears fruit, it doesn’t necessarily wait until the fruit matures.
Tian Qian and I had naturally seen the Xuanchu Fruit mature before, yet discovered it couldn’t be picked. If one rashly tried to pick it, the fruit would instantly decay, leaving behind not even a seed core.
After trying this once, Tian Qian and I no longer bothered with what happened to the fruit. That single seed you requested from Tian Qian—it should still be the original one left behind by Heaven and Earth, right?”
The Little Young Master nodded: “It is indeed that single one. This Xuanchu Fruit must be received with seven-colored auspicious qi and placed within dark jade for preservation, otherwise it will instantly decay and dissipate.” Therefore, in all of Heaven and Earth, he was the only person who could pick and use it.
Hearing this, the Master of the Earthly Realm gently squeezed the Little Young Master’s fingertips, smiling warmly: “This is a gift left to you by your Father God and Mother Goddess.”
The Little Young Master was taken aback, lowering his head to say in a low voice: “I know they love and protect me.”
In his childhood, he was taken by the Master of the Mortal Realm to play in the human world. When he saw the worldly bustle of the human realm for the first time, he was also confused as to why he had no parents to accompany and love him. He remembered that back then, he couldn’t even care to taste the human delicacies he had longed for for a long time, turning right around to return to the Immortal Realm. During that period, the Master of the Earthly Realm was out, so he lived in the Heavenly Realm. The Master of the Heavenly Realm was startled by his teary-eyed appearance, even thinking that the Master of the Mortal Realm hadn’t taken good care of him.
Although knowing he was born with an understanding of the world, after understanding the cause and effect, the Master of the Heavenly Realm still recreated the scene of his birth for him to see. He naturally remembered where he came from and how he was brought out of the Creation Blessed Land by the crowd of immortals; he remembered all of these. He just didn’t understand why the parents of human children were all accompanying and protecting their children, while he had never even seen his parents’ faces.
Seeing his rims turn red again, the Master of the Heavenly Realm panicked. Simply sending an urgent message, he summoned the Master of the Earthly Realm back with extreme urgency. The Master of the Earthly Realm was originally handling vital matters, yet in the Immortal Realm, no matter how great a matter was, it wasn’t as important as the Little Young Master. The instant he received the message, the Master of the Earthly Realm directly forced open a Realm Gate passage right where he stood, rushing back to the Heavenly Realm within a few short breaths.
At that time, when the Master of the Heavenly Realm saw the Master of the Earthly Realm appear before him, he was quite frightened. He had indeed sent an urgent message, but he hadn’t expected the Master of the Earthly Realm to return immediately. Subconsciously, he asked a sentence: “How much divine power did you expend to rush back?”
Forcing open the Realm Gate was something neither he nor the Master of the Earthly Realm did rarely. However, standing outside the Realm Gate versus forcing it open across thousands of mountains and rivers still bore a slight difference. The most important difference among them was that it required expending divine power. Different from all immortals in the Immortal Realm—including the four Masters of the Human, Demon, Dao, and Buddhist realms—the two Realm Masters of Heaven and Earth possessed semi-divine bodies. They cultivated immortal power, which could be converted into divine power once cultivated to the extreme. It was just that divine power was difficult to cultivate, so both of them rarely used it.
And what was used to force open the Realm Gate was precisely divine power, and the greater the distance, the more divine power was required. On this trip of the Master of the Earthly Realm, it was unknown how much divine power he had expended. Thinking that the Little Young Master had merely had his rims turn a little red, the Master of the Heavenly Realm actually felt somewhat guilty for a time.
Yet the Master of the Earthly Realm didn’t feel this was a small matter. After asking for the reason, he pondered for a long while, then reached out to pick up the young Little Young Master and seat him on his shoulder, saying: “Let us go; this Master will take you to clear your head. Tian Qian, I shall trouble you to handle the outside matters for now.” Afterward, without waiting for the Master of the Heavenly Realm’s response, he departed with the Little Young Master.
The Little Young Master remembered that on that day, the Master of the Earthly Realm took him to many places: the Heavenly Jade Pool of the Heavenly Realm, the Dark Jade Pool of the Earthly Realm, the junction between Heaven and Earth—the Little Young Master’s place of birth, the Creation Blessed Land—as well as the mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas of the human realm… Some of these places the Little Young Master had originally been to, while some he had never seen. Yet no matter which place it was, it all carried an aura that was incomparably familiar to him.
Along this journey, the Master of the Earthly Realm didn’t say much else, merely stating the place names for the Little Young Master to hear whenever they reached a location. Finally, the Master of the Earthly Realm brought the Little Young Master back to the Creation Blessed Land. When bringing the Little Young Master out back then, it required the two Realm Masters of Heaven and Earth to exert force together to open it. Now, however, there was no need for that; the seven-colored auspicious qi borne by the Little Young Master was the key to opening the Creation Blessed Land.
The Master of the Earthly Realm took the Little Young Master into the Creation Blessed Land, pointing at a stone platform right in the center: “When we first met, you were right at that spot—do you still remember?”
Born with an understanding of the world, the Little Young Master naturally remembered. He leaped down from the Master of the Earthly Realm’s shoulder, walking over to the stone platform in a few paces. After scrutinizing it for a while, he suddenly turned back to look at the Master of the Earthly Realm, blinking his bright, crystal-clear eyes as he said crisply: “Naturally I remember! Back when I saw you all, I only felt that Brother Kun, you were the most handsome!”
Hearing this, the Master of the Earthly Realm was startled, yet couldn’t help bursting into laughter: “These words were never heard being mentioned by you in your childhood.”
The Little Young Master nodded his little chin, saying seriously and earnestly: “Naturally I couldn’t say it, otherwise Brother Qian would be angry.”
The Master of the Earthly Realm raised his hand to gently rub the top of his head, smiling: “If Tian Qian gets angry, you can just tell me, and I shall take you to the Earthly Realm.”
Hearing this, the Little Young Master’s eyes curved with laughter. Raising his hand to pull the Master of the Earthly Realm’s palm, he nodded: “Then Brother Kun can divide some of the tedious duties to Brother Qian, that way I can stay in the Earthly Realm more often!”
The Master of the Earthly Realm nodded with a smile: “I shall listen to you.”
Afterward, the two stood in silence for a while, before the Little Young Master spoke first: “Brother Kun, thank you.”
The Master of the Earthly Realm curved his lips slightly, asking him: “What for?”
The Little Young Master lowered his head slightly, appearing a bit shy: “I know why you took me to so many places.”
This world, the two realms of Heaven and Earth, the mountains, rivers, lakes, seas, flying sand, and broken stones—every single place was full of his Father God’s and Mother Goddess’s aura. His Father God and Mother Goddess had never left him; on the contrary, every single hour and every single moment, they were accompanying him and watching him. He never needed to feel sad over this point.
The Master of the Earthly Realm gently rubbed the top of the Little Young Master’s head, saying in a warm voice: “What a clever child.”
The Little Young Master’s eyes curved with a smile, responding with a touch of little pride: “Naturally!”
Seeing him silent for a long time, the Master of the Earthly Realm was worried he was recalling unpleasant matters, so he simply opened his mouth to shift the topic: “Chushi hasn’t told me the use of this Xuanchu Fruit yet.”
Hearing this, the Little Young Master withdrew his thoughts. Yet thinking of the use of this Xuanchu Fruit, he was somewhat hesitant again.
Seeing him like this, the Master of the Earthly Realm couldn’t help raising an eyebrow: “What? Is it actually something that cannot be spoken of?”
Feeling quite uneasy, the Little Young Master lowered his head to rub the bridge of his nose: “It’s not that it cannot be spoken of…”
Seeing him like this, the Master of the Earthly Realm couldn’t help laughing softly: “Then why doesn’t Chushi say it? No matter, Brother Kun promises you that no matter what, I won’t get angry with you. How about it?”
Hearing him even use the form of address he used to hang on his lips in childhood, the Little Young Master felt his face turn slightly hot. Thinking that the Xuanchu Fruit couldn’t be spit back out anyway, and that he would have to speak of its use sooner or later, he simply gritted his teeth and opened his mouth:
“It is of no great use, merely allowing this Young Master to know where you are located, that’s all!”
Hearing this, the Master of the Earthly Realm was slightly startled. Pondering for a short moment, he only then said: “Like a Concentric Lock?” This Concentric Lock was seen in the human realm—a Heaven-tier magical treasure that could only be used between Dao companions. Its function was to be able to sense where the other party was located at any time; however, it was only effective within the human realm.
The moment these words were spoken, the Little Young Master raised his head to glare at him, saying indignantly: “The Concentric Lock is merely a magical treasure of the human realm’s cultivation world; how can it be compared to the Xuanchu Fruit!” Although the function was indeed somewhat similar, ahem ahem…
The Master of the Earthly Realm nodded, asking for guidance humbly: “How is the Xuanchu Fruit then?”
The Little Young Master raised his chin slightly, feeling quite smug: “The Xuanchu Fruit is stronger than that Concentric Lock by who knows how many times! First of all, it has no restrictions and doesn’t require things like Dao companions; secondly, that Concentric Lock is restricted to the human realm and loses its efficacy upon reaching the Immortal Realm. The Xuanchu Fruit is different—this Young Master guarantees that even if we leave this world, this Young Master will still be able to know where you are located!”
The Master of the Earthly Realm nodded repeatedly to show agreement. Waiting until the Little Young Master finished speaking, he only then said: “This Master only heard the Master of the Mortal Realm mention the Concentric Lock once to know a thing or two about it, yet didn’t know the Little Young Master had delved so deeply into it?”
The Little Young Master: “…” This fellow immortal, see through it but don’t say it out loud!
