‘Gasp!’

Oh Gap-su woke with a start and shot up from the bed.

Thankfully, it was a dream.Full novel: This is Oh Gap-su from Office 39 — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Phew.”

He lay back down, breathing a sigh of relief.

He just had a nightmare about getting hit by a speeding truck.

“Mmm.”

Perhaps woken by his movement, an arm draped over his upper body, which was drenched in cold sweat.

Turning his head to the side, he saw a beautiful blonde woman lying there, her pale breasts completely exposed.

It was an unfamiliar face.

Oh Gap-su shook his head and recalled the events of yesterday.

This was a hotel room in Venice, a super-large, top-tier gambling hotel, even for the gambling city of Macau.

As usual, he had headed straight to the casino after work and enjoyed a game of Baccarat.

As luck would have it, the gambler in the seat next to him had been the slender blonde beauty currently lying beside him.

He remembered flirting and sipping the complimentary liquor, but…

It wasn’t his first time experiencing this, so what happened next was obvious.

Dismissing those thoughts, Oh Gap-su moved the woman’s arm aside and got up.

Usually, he would go for another round in the morning, but perhaps because of the nightmare, he wasn’t in the mood.

Furthermore, with her makeup washed off, freckles he hadn’t seen yesterday were visible on her face.

That was why you shouldn’t judge a woman by her appearance under the lights at night.

The woman didn’t wake up until he finished his shower and put on his five-thousand-dollar Paul Smith suit.

Finally strapping on his Rolex watch, Oh Gap-su left the room without lingering attachment.

It was just a one-night stand anyway.

When he went to the hotel entrance, Jo Cheol-jung was waiting with the car ready.

“You woke up early today.”

“Did you sleep in the car again yesterday?”

“I find it more comfortable.

Here are the photos I took yesterday.”

“Good work.

Let’s go.”

Oh Gap-su pocketed the memory stick handed to him and got into the car, prompting Jo Cheol-jung to quickly slip into the driver’s seat and start the vehicle.

The Mercedes ride felt comfortable.

Inside an office in downtown Macau.

The numbers on the large LED screen located at the front were changing rapidly.

The same went for the monitors placed on the dozen or so desks divided by partitions.

This was a trading room for foreign exchange futures.

The time was racing toward the close of the market.

It was the most crucial moment, yet he didn’t know why that nightmare came to mind.

Oh Gap-su had a jinx.

People usually say dreams are the opposite of reality, but that wasn’t the case for him.

On days he had a nightmare, his luck was unfailingly bad.

At the mixed sounds of cheers and sighs, Oh Gap-su hurriedly snapped back to reality.

‘Ah.’

The market had already closed.

The account was fully loaded with Eurodollar (EURUSD) buys (BUY).

Foreign exchange margin trading was a highly risky product.
