Chapter 3: The First Day

Lena was dreaming of warmth.Full novel: Tokyo University: The Futa Heiress and Her Endless Harem — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

It was a hazy, soft dream, with no images, only sensations.

Something warm and wet brushed against her stomach.

Then a little lower.

Then lower still.

Her breathing deepened in her sleep, and her body responded before her mind did.

She opened her eyes.

Morning light was streaming in gray and pink through the glass walls.

The sheet had slipped down to her hips.

And between her legs, black hair falling over her face and cheeks bright red, was Yuki, who froze the moment their eyes met.

“Ah…” Yuki sat bolt upright on her knees, clutching the sheet to her chest.

“You’re awake.”

“I’m awake,” Lena said, her voice hoarse.

Her heart was pounding.

“Yuki…

what are you doing?”

“I’m sorry!” Yuki hid her face in her hands.

“I didn’t…

I didn’t know if…

I wanted to ask you first, but you were sleeping so beautifully and I…” She peeked through her fingers.

“I just kissed you.

There.

Once.

I didn’t do anything else.

I swear.”

Lena sat up against the pillows and looked at her tenderly.

She was so adorable like this, red to the tips of her ears, the sheet wrapped around her like a little cocoon.

“Come here,” she said softly.

Yuki crawled closer and sat beside her, knees pulled to her chest.

“Tell me,” Lena said.

“What did you want to ask me?”

Yuki stared at the sheets.

“I’ve…

I’ve only ever liked girls.

Since middle school.

I never thought about…

that.

I didn’t even know how it works.

I’ve never seen it, never read about it…” She paused.

“But you’re a girl.

The most beautiful girl.

And all of your body is yours, and I want to love all of it.

And last night I was thinking that…” Her voice dropped to a whisper.

“That I want to make you feel the way you made me feel.”

She raised her eyes.

“Can I try?

But I don’t know anything.

Will you show me?”

Lena felt something tighten in her chest, something much deeper than desire.

“Yes,” she said.

“If you want to, yes.

But if there’s anything you don’t like, you stop.

You don’t have to prove anything to me.”

“I want to,” Yuki said, and this time she didn’t blush.

She smiled.

She was clumsy at first.

Very clumsy.

Yuki knelt between Lena’s legs and studied her with the concentration of a student reading a difficult text.

She touched her first with her fingers, gently, as if it were something fragile, and glanced up at Lena to see her reaction.

Lena tipped her head back against the pillow and let out a deep breath.

“Do you like that?”

“A lot.”

Yuki smiled as if she’d just passed an exam.

She bent down and kissed her again, there, like before, except this time Lena was awake and felt every inch of it.

“Tell me what to do,” Yuki whispered.

And Lena told her.

With words at first, broken and hoarse, and then without words, her fingers in Yuki’s hair and her breathing coming faster and faster.

Yuki learned quickly.

She had always been a good student.

Every time Lena made a sound, Yuki remembered it and did it again, slower, deeper, more confidently.

Her eyes, which she lifted every now and then to look at her, were full of curiosity and something like pride.

“Yuki…” Lena gripped the sheet.

“Yuki, wait, I’m going to…”

Yuki didn’t wait.

Lena came with a cry that echoed off the ceiling, her back arched like a bow and her toes curled into the sheets.

For several seconds she saw nothing but white.

When she caught her breath again, Yuki was back beside her, wiping her lips with the back of her hand, wearing an expression of absolute triumph.

“It was…” Yuki searched for the word.

“It was strange.

But I liked it.

I liked making you scream like that.”

Lena laughed, still breathless, and pulled her on top of her.

“You’re incredible, you know that?”

“I know now,” Yuki said, and kissed her.

*Ding.*

[Yuki Sato | Love: 100% — LOCKED]

[New trait: “Eager Student”]

[Achievement unlocked: “Good Morning!” — Woke up in the best possible way.]

[Harem Rule: Every girl who reaches 100%, shares your bed, and lives in your home gifts you her talent.]

[Yuki Sato meets all conditions.]

[Skill acquired: “Soul of Literature” — Perfect Japanese, knowledge of every book Yuki has ever read, and the ability to read people’s emotions like characters in a novel.]

Lena felt her mind fill up.

Words, kanji, verses by Basho, entire pages of Kawabata and Murakami.

When she opened her mouth, the Japanese came out as naturally as if she’d been born in Tokyo.

“Thank you,” she said to Yuki, in flawless Japanese.

Yuki blinked.

“Your accent…

you sound just like me!”

“You gave me a piece of yourself,” Lena said, and Yuki, without quite understanding, smiled as if she understood everything.

Lena closed the screen with a thought, laughing.

The alarm went off at that exact moment.

7:30.

Yuki leapt out of bed.

“Classes!

They start at nine!

I haven’t showered, I haven’t packed my bag, I haven’t—”

“We have time.”

“Denenchofu to Hongo is an hour by train!”

Lena smiled.

“Who said anything about the train?”

Yuki stood in front of the Ninja 1000 in the garage, her new helmet in her hands, staring at it as if it were a beast about to bite her.

“I’ve never been on a motorcycle.”

“You’d never done what you did half an hour ago either,” Lena said, “and you were amazing.”

Yuki turned red and put on the helmet to hide her face.

She wore the dark green skirt from the boutique, a white shirt, and a cream knit vest, her glasses tucked away in their case in her bag.

Lena wore the outfit she’d hung up the night before: a black pleated skirt, a white shirt, black knee-high socks, and the leather jacket on top.

And nothing underneath.

Yuki knew.

When she climbed onto the seat behind her and wrapped her arms around her waist, she whispered through her helmet:

“Don’t you get cold…

down there?”

“Not at all,” Lena said, and turned the key.

The engine roared.

Yuki shrieked and clung to her like a suction cup.

The road to Hongo was a blurred film of glass skyscrapers, green parks, and morning traffic.

Lena wove between the cars with a confidence she didn’t know the source of, as if the System had given her that too.

The wind whipped against her bare legs, slipped under her skirt, and every time she accelerated, Yuki tightened her arms around her.

Halfway there, Yuki stopped shrieking.

Three-quarters of the way, Lena heard her laughing.

“It’s amazing!” Yuki shouted over the wind.

“Lena, it’s amazing!”

The Akamon Gate, the famous red gate of the University of Tokyo, was packed with students.

First-years in new clothes with nervous faces.

Older students handing out club flyers.

Professors with briefcases.

And every single one of them turned their heads when the black Ninja rolled into the parking lot with one last roar.

Lena pulled off her helmet and shook out her hair.

It gleamed like silk in the morning light.

[Your aura is affecting 213 adult women within a 50-meter radius.]

A girl handing out tennis club flyers dropped every single one.

Two students walking together stopped so abruptly they crashed into each other.

A professor in a gray suit pushed her glasses up her nose and stared a second longer than she should have before continuing on her way with flushed cheeks.

Yuki climbed off the bike, took off her own helmet, and wore an expression Lena had never seen on her before.

She took Lena’s hand, firmly, fingers laced, and looked around at all the girls who were staring.

“Are they all like this?” she whispered.

“Most of them.”

“And…

are they all going to come live with us?”

Lena laughed.

“Not all of them.

Only the ones who truly want to.

And only the ones you like too.”

Yuki looked at her in surprise.

“Me?”

“You’re the first,” Lena said.

“You have the key.

Your opinion matters.”

Yuki squeezed her hand even tighter, and her smile was brighter than the sun.

The welcome ceremony was held in Yasuda Auditorium, an old red-brick building with a clock tower.

Lena and Yuki sat in the middle, and the entire time the president spoke, Lena felt eyes on her from every direction.

The girl on her left dropped her pen three times.

The girl in front of her turned around every two minutes, as if she’d heard something.

And then the president said, “And now, a welcome address from the President of the Student Council.”

The auditorium went completely silent.

The girl who stepped up to the podium was tall, with long platinum hair pulled into a high ponytail, eyes like ice, and a dark navy suit that looked tailored onto her.

She walked across the stage as if she owned all of it, and maybe she did.

“Who is she?” Lena whispered.

The girl on her left, the one who’d dropped her pen three times, answered without taking her eyes off Lena.

“Rei Kurosawa.

Third-year Law, twenty-one.

Daughter of the CEO of Kurosawa Group.

First in every exam since she enrolled.

Fencing champion.

She’s turned down over a hundred confessions.” She paused.

“They call her the Ice Queen.”

*Ding.*

[Quest target located: Rei Kurosawa, 21]

[Attraction: 70%]

[System Note: The target hides her feelings behind walls of ice.

Lena sat up in her seat.

Seventy percent.

The lowest the System could show.

Every other girl in the auditorium had shot sky-high the moment she saw her.

Rei hadn’t budged a single percent.

For the first time, Lena felt something like a challenge.

On stage, Rei spoke about the university’s tradition, about excellence, about responsibility.

Her voice was clear and cold as crystal.

She didn’t look at anyone in particular.

She looked over everyone, toward the back of the hall, as if no one in the room interested her.

Until her gaze swept across the middle of the auditorium.

And stopped.

Only for half a second.

Enough to cut her sentence off in the middle.

Enough for a small murmur to ripple through the entire auditorium, because Rei Kurosawa never stopped in the middle of a sentence.

Her icy eyes met Lena’s.

Lena smiled.

And, very slowly, she crossed her legs.

Rei blinked.

The faintest hint of pink rose to her cheeks, so slight no one else would have noticed.

Then she looked away, abruptly, and continued her speech as if nothing had happened.

But her voice, for the rest of the speech, wasn’t quite so cold anymore.

[Rei Kurosawa | Attraction: 70% → 72%]

Yuki leaned in to her ear.

“Her,” she whispered.

“She’s the Queen, right?”

“Right.”

Yuki watched Rei on stage for a long time, head tilted, as if reading a difficult character in a novel.

“I like her,” she said at last.

“But she’s going to be difficult.”

“I know,” Lena said, and her smile widened.

“That’s what’ll make it fun.”

After the ceremony, the students poured out into the courtyard beneath the great ginkgo trees, which had begun to turn yellow.

Lena and Yuki headed toward the parking lot, passing girls who fell silent the moment they walked by.

The Ninja was right where they’d left it.

But beside it, leaning against the seat with her arms crossed, stood Rei Kurosawa.

“You,” she said, and her voice was cold as ice again.

“Your motorcycle is parked in a faculty space.”

Lena stopped in front of her.

They were almost the same height.

“You came all the way here just to tell me that?”

“I’m the President of the Student Council.

It’s my job.”

“Then why are you blushing?”

Rei opened her mouth.

Closed it.

Her cheeks, this time, turned genuinely pink.

“I’m not blushing,” she said.

“Okay,” Lena said, and put on her helmet.

“I’ll move it.

See you tomorrow, President.”

Yuki climbed on behind her, wrapped her arms around her waist, and as the engine roared, she turned her head and looked back at Rei.

The Ice Queen of the University of Tokyo stood alone in the parking lot, watching the motorcycle pull away, one hand pressed to her chest.

At the light at Hongo-sanchome, Yuki rested her helmet against Lena’s back.

“Lena?”

“Mm?”

“When she comes to live with us,” Yuki said, and Lena could hear the smile in her voice, “I’m going to show her where we sleep.

And that the left side of your chest is mine.”

Lena laughed so hard inside her helmet she almost missed the light turning green.

“Deal,” she said.

“The left side is yours.

Forever.”

Yuki hugged her tighter, and the Ninja disappeared into the midday traffic, ginkgo leaves swirling gold behind it.
